I had a hot, uncomfortable disappointed, and we were in utter shocked that the room I booked was not in their system. As I was rebooking, it was not the same as the first booking then blacked out occured. During the blacked out the my booking end up with only a bed in dorm style quarters, public bathroom and no privacy. My first booking was a package trip from Cebu to Manila which still in a wrong date. The actual date for the flight was to be on August 19 @ 9:50 but the three agent that I spoke to on the 18th got my hotel canceled and only provided me a rebooked solution. Sure, I can rebooked, thank so much for making my simple trip into **************** with my family, along withy impatient high functioning autism, 24 years old son who doesn't like his iPad to be low battery and no wifi. To remind you that the black out still happening, so during my aunty and son lunch the black still going. I have no idea what kind of menu and price for food and drinks. As I saw the server put the first plate of food, I was shocked to see the mountain square shape nacho cheese beyond understanding. My aunty is only 90 to 100 pounds. She doesn't speak English and doesn't understand what she ordered, so she asked question about salad and a slice of pizza. But that not what the server brought, he came out again carrying nacho cheese, same size as the first nacho cheese/beef, except the second is chicken then a whole large Canadian bacon pizza. I couldn't believe the amount of food that was ordered then a Red Bull for my autistic son? My aunty was repeatedly saying that she only want salad and a slice pizza then water. What she really wanted the cook and server wanted to do is take away all the food back including the Red Bull. Oh, one more set of food, two big pieces of Burrito. The hotel is still in black out and stuffy hot and dark. The staff are not good listener. My son started eating and drinking the Red Bull, when I saw him, I told the staff that Red Bull straight might kill him of a heart attack. I also mentioned that my son doesn't know self control when it comes to food which is called glutenny . He already pass his regular weight. I heard my aunty said that my son ordered all the food; she had no idea what he was ordering. Meanwhile the black out still continuing till around 5:30 pm, every building around the area has their electricity back on but not the Papabo. Our booking still in process. The manager charged me for the lunch even though the mistake was the their service, taking order from an autistic person instead of asking his parents. The manager decided to booked us in the one room that has two bunk bed, private bathroom and has windows cause still black out. The room is stuffy and hot, it's on the fourth floor, no elevator and dark to go up the stairs. We decided to lock up our things in the room cause still black out. My aunty over heard that the electricity bill was not paid. So as soon as I got down. The manager charged me 1500 pesos cash plus 1200 pesos for lunch that I only got to eat two slices of pizza and a couple of bite of nacho beef. I didn't get to have the burritos. The Papabo manager quickly went to pay for their electricity bill after she spoke to the owner. My aunty and me went to the beach. I for sure locked the bedroom and still no electriçity. My son went to 7/11 to charge the iPad. We got back at the hotel at 8:30 or so and the electricity was on and my son also in the in the hotel. Do recognized that the hotel keys was an actual key, and I only have the key with. In my surprised our bedroom door was wide open, our things are scattered on the chair and table. Now, just today at this time, I'm still looking for my necklace that has my Mom piece of earing, my oldest son alligator tooth pendant and my initial pendant A. I'll call the hotel when I finished looking at our things here.Yap, my necklace is missing.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The BEST hostel experience I’ve ever had! I honestly cannot recommend Yellow Umbrella Hostels in Cebu City enough. From the moment I arrived until the moment I checked out, every single part of my stay exceeded my expectations. The first thing that stood out was how spotlessly clean everything was. The rooms, bathrooms, common areas, everywhere was exceptionally well maintained. You can really tell that the staff takes great pride in keeping the hostel comfortable, organized, and welcoming. What truly makes this place special, though, is the people. Manager Glen deserves special recognition. He goes above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome, valued, and at home. His professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for guests create such a positive atmosphere that you can feel it throughout the entire hostel. And honestly, the rest of the staff were just as incredible. I would write names but truly every staff was amazing because every single person I met was outstanding. They were always smiling, approachable, eager to help, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making guests’ experiences unforgettable. That level of hospitality is rare and deserves to be celebrated. The atmosphere is warm, safe, and incredibly comforting. Whether you’re traveling solo or with friends, this hostel makes it easy to relax, meet amazing people, and truly enjoy your time in Cebu. The service was consistently exceptional, every request was handled quickly, every interaction was friendly, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. I’ve stayed in many accommodations while traveling, and Yellow Umbrella Hostels genuinely ranks among the very best. It’s not just a place to sleep, it’s a place that makes you feel at home. If you’re visiting Cebu City, do yourself a favor and stay here. You won’t regret it. Thank you to Glen and the entire team for making my trip so memorable. A really great place! The staff are lovely, and the rooms are clean and spacious. I especially enjoyed the unlimited access to the coffee machine for fresh, bean-to-cup coffee. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of hot water in the shower, but for such a low price, it's a very small drawback.

I like that the location is close to the event I have attended. The staff are also friendly and approachable. It would have been better though if there were toiletries provided like may tissue. I like that there's available hot and cold water. I will still come back though. I still have plans of getting a room here on my next events.

The room is comfortable. I would not call it an apartment as there is no kitchenette. The staff are friendly. The restaurant on-site serves good food and drink, but prices are too much.

We stayed for 6 hours before our flight in a triple room in the building opposite the one with the pool. The room was indeed small, but clean, modern, and well-designed. It had a desk with a chair if you needed to use a laptop, and lockers to store your belongings. Clean white bedding, towels, comfortable new mattresses and pillows, a large window, a bottle of water per person, shampoo, soap, and toothbrushes were provided. The urban design didn't bother us at all – in fact, it was a pleasant change after traveling through rural areas. The reception desk works very efficiently, there's a cafe downstairs, and a restaurant on the rooftop, along with a small pool and a nice area to sit in the evening with city views. The location is convenient, with a 7/11, places to eat, and drink all just a stone's throw away. There's also security. It's 3 km to Ayala Center (about 100 pesos by Grab). Overall, a very good impression. An excellent option for 1-2 nights.

Aomsec Hotel is a great place to stay—clean, comfortable, and perfect for both long stays and quick trips. The rooms are cozy and well-maintained, and the staff are friendly, approachable, and accommodating. Highly recommended for a pleasant and hassle-free stay! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The environment, location, and service are all excellent, offering great value for money. However, the room facilities aren't the best; the bathroom door and fittings are quite old, and the air conditioning is noisy. It would be even better if there was a table in the room to put things on.

We enjoyed our stay, nice quiet place to rejuvenate away from the hustle and bustle.very affordable for the experience we had here. All the staff will go above and beyond to make your stay hear a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Very clean and very large rooms. There is breakfast available American breakfast only to buy. They supply unlimited water refill station as well as unlimited to and coffee all day. No other food or drinks available for purchase at the property but there is a little local restaurant and shops just a short 1min walk. Being a island stay it is helpful rent a motorbike they also have motorbike, scooter hire for cheap to help you out or willp call a tuk tuk to come and pick you up. The tuk tuk will cost 250peso to 300pesos to restaurants or into the town each way. They are continuing to improve with the property starting to build villas for families to stay

The hotel's location is pretty average. When I first opened the room, the floor was wet. After it dried, I noticed it was covered in grease, which made walking around in slippers very uncomfortable and I felt like I could slip at any moment. The bathroom was tiny, and the water pressure was very low. The bed was two single beds pushed together with a foam mattress. Housekeeping wasn't daily, and the Wi-Fi was terrible.
