GGuest UserHighly, highly recommend for a weekend getaway! The experience was fantastic, and the hotel's amenities and services were excellent. While the hotel facilities and room design weren't exactly my style, the hot springs and various entertainment options were truly outstanding and offered great value for money! Especially after skiing, a hot spring bath was incredibly relaxing. Most importantly, our butler Mila was so thoughtful and sweet. I rarely write reviews, but this one is specially for Mila! :-)

GGebidelaojiuWe came to Gubei Water Town on the fourth day of Chinese New Year and, as always, chose to stay at the Gubei Light Hotel. Manager Tong was incredibly enthusiastic and arranged everything perfectly, accommodating all our requests – a big thank you to her! During the New Year period, there were many services available in the water town, and the hotel was almost fully booked. Despite being busy, everything ran smoothly. In particular, the breakfast service over the past two days, despite the large crowd, was very orderly, showing that the hotel had a plan in place. We stayed for two days, enjoying the hot springs and swimming pool, spending most of our time at the hotel. Especially on the fifth day when there was a sandstorm, guests were mostly indoors, but there was no sense of panic. The dinner buffet also featured magic shows and other entertainment, creating a fantastic atmosphere overall. Definitely worth choosing!

GGuest UserThe entire courtyard is superbly designed, and you can see the owner's thoughtful touches in every detail. The room design is very industrial, which is quite unique, and the service was good too. The only minor drawback is that the power outlets in the room were a bit inconveniently placed. We happened to be there for Christmas, and the gingerbread house and the Christmas tree in the backyard were absolutely adorable. The nail tech was also super cute and lovely. The restaurant also gets high marks: the breakfast is a refined blend of Chinese and Western options, small but excellent; I've eaten at the Western restaurant twice now, and every dish has been outstanding (the cream of mushroom soup bowl was even warmed; I recommend the foie gras salad and the chestnut cake). Overall, I'd give it a 4.8 out of 5!

LLiqiThis hotel is beautiful and high-class, and the rooms are very spacious. Each room has both a bathtub and a shower, and the toiletries are excellent. Whether you're relaxing in your room watching TV or heading to the ground floor for the hot spring and swimming pool (a comfortable 25-meter pool with 31-degree water, indoor and outdoor hot springs, and complimentary snacks and drinks...), there's plenty to do. Outdoors, there's an adventure park with go-karts, alpaca feeding, and horseback riding – all great options for a holiday. The hotel has both Chinese and Western restaurants. During the holiday, the Chinese restaurant offered a few quick options as well as à la carte, and the Western restaurant served a seafood buffet for dinner. The food was delicious, with a wide variety for both breakfast and dinner, and the desserts were incredibly beautiful. The hotel service was excellent; the front desk staff were incredibly responsible and patiently answered all questions. The hot spring front desk staff were also consistently good; even before the name change, they were always enthusiastic and helpful in coordinating any issues (all the staff in the hot spring area were also warm, polite, thoughtful, and meticulous). It seems that whether it's a holiday or not, I've always received a welcome fruit platter and a white fungus and pear afternoon tea, which is a very thoughtful touch. This time, they even gave my child a small gift when we left, which was very touching. The room packages include meals or hot spring tickets, and hotel guests get a discount if they want to purchase the buffet or hot springs separately. It's a very welcoming hotel.

AAnonymous UserCame here to play with ice and snow, but the ice park was closed, but the snow park was. Came here with children and the elderly, and booked a suite and standard room in the VIP building. The VIP building is newly renovated, the environment is very good, the lobby is large and grand, but there are relatively few guests, even on weekends. You have to drive to another building to eat and soak in the hot springs, which is a bit far to walk, and the snow park is closer to the dining place. It is worth praising that the staff of the snow park have a good attitude, a good experience, and everyone is very enthusiastic. It is worth complaining about the toilet in the snow park, which is a simple one, cold and unclean. There is only one, and you have to queue. It would be better if the snow park opened a few cafes with better environment. There is a small beverage shop with a very bad environment, which is very crowded. The elderly were sitting inside waiting for us to play with snow, but later they felt uncomfortable and went back to the hotel room. . . It is close to the city, and it takes more than an hour to drive there. . .

SShenmidebanzhuanXishan Hot Springs is truly perfect for the whole family, from the elderly to children. The seniors felt comfortable, the kids had a blast, and we felt at ease throughout our entire stay. The environment was clean and warm, and there were many hot spring pools with just the right water temperature. The elderly found it relaxing and rejuvenating, and there wasn't much walking involved, with plenty of rest areas available to sit down whenever tired. Kids have their own dedicated water play area with shallow pools that are safe and fun. There's also a children's playground, slides, and go-karts – enough to keep them entertained all day long. Plus, there's a childcare service so parents can relax for a while, which is a very thoughtful touch. The service was excellent, staff were friendly, and attention to detail was evident, taking great care of both seniors and children. Also, their Four Seasons Restaurant really knows how to cater to foodies! Our overall experience this Chinese New Year was fantastic, and I must commend it. Breakfast didn't have a huge variety; it was more for a quick bite to fill you up, suitable for those who wake up early and just want something light. However, the dinner buffet was truly outstanding. They had everything: seafood, BBQ, hot dishes, cold dishes, desserts, and fruits. You could grab salmon, oysters, roasted lamb leg, grilled durian, and crayfish to your heart's content, with each person limited to half a lobster. The taste was on point, and they refilled dishes quickly. There were so many options we couldn't even try them all – we left feeling incredibly satisfied. The late-night supper was an even bigger surprise! It was perfect for when we were tired from playing all day and got hungry at night. They had steaming hot xiaolongbao and various noodle dishes, all with great flavor and generous portions. Having hot food late at night felt incredibly comforting. Service was also attentive, with quick plate clearing and a clean, comfortable environment. Overall, breakfast was simple, dinner was lavish and enjoyable, and the late-night supper was heartwarming and just right. It's an all-in-one place for dining and entertainment where everyone in the family can find something to enjoy. It's not tiring or troublesome, and the value for money is pretty good. If you're traveling with elderly family members and children, this is the place to choose – hassle-free and comfortable. A highly recommended spot! 😎😎😎

MM791166****The room was very spacious and well-equipped. The underfloor heating was a lifesaver against the cold, and a hot bath after hiking the Great Wall really helped relieve the fatigue. It's only a ten-minute walk from the hotel to the Great Wall entrance, as well as the scenic area and commercial street. The hotel's own restaurant offered reasonably priced dishes, no overcharging there. The front desk lady was very kind and even helped me carry my suitcase up the stairs. We were lucky enough to experience a beautiful snowfall during our stay, which made for a stunning view.

GGuest UserI've been to this hotel several times for internal department meetings and team-building events, so I brought my family here for Chinese New Year. The hotel's location is super convenient, about an hour's drive from the city. The rooms are individual villas, offering a wonderful sense of harmony with nature ✌🏻, providing peace and tranquility for those busy with work. This is a five-star hotel under the international Hyatt chain, and during Chinese New Year, they were very well-staffed. Besides their consistently professional regular services, they also had thoughtfully prepared activities to celebrate the New Year and special dishes. Sunny, the lady who checked us in at the front desk, was beautiful, kind, and incredibly helpful, responding to every request with enthusiasm 😍. My family was very happy and satisfied with this short Chinese New Year trip, and we'll definitely be back when the spring flowers are in full bloom!

GGuest UserAfter a grueling business trip, I booked a hot spring hotel package, looking forward to two days of complete relaxation. The hot springs themselves were decent, quite standard. A good feature was the ventilation system; compared to other indoor pools, you could occasionally feel a refreshing cool breeze, which was a nice touch. Most pools were open. Friday was pleasantly uncrowded, but Saturday became a total madhouse, with the pools full of swimming floats. The cleanliness was acceptable. The room was by far the most satisfying part. We loved dining on the balcony and watching the sunset. The bathroom had a very open and airy design, and the shower stall was wonderfully spacious. In the evenings, guests could go fishing in the lake, which was teeming with small fish, and we even spotted black swans.

GGuest UserThis was our second time visiting. **Room:** The family room has a bunk bed, but why is the bathtub right next to it? There are many sharp edges around the tub, making it very unsafe for a child to sleep nearby. Couldn't there be a partition between the tub and the bed? Also, the fitted sheet on the bottom bunk was significantly smaller than the mattress, with all four corners sticking up. When I asked a staff member about it, they said that's how it is and to just sleep like that. Only after I insisted did they change it to an adult-sized sheet. I asked for two more single duvets to use when sleeping with the kids, but was told not to even think about it. **Hot Springs:** The water was dirty, much worse than when we visited two years ago. I broke out in a very itchy rash on my legs the day we left. The changing room smelled terrible. **Buffet Dinner:** It cost 240 RMB per person, and there wasn't even any fresh green leafy vegetables. Overall, this experience was very poor. We likely won't be coming back.
