The rides are fantastic, the merch is cool and a bit pricey, the locations are interesting, the food is delicious, but a bit overpriced. Some locations require an app, but I couldn't install it on my phone. The evening show is the best. A schedule of events was missing; it would have been great if they'd given out brochures with the tickets. The navigation was also a bit lacking. One day certainly isn't enough to see everything; next time I go, I'll plan for two days.

This isn't just a themed area; it's a time machine where every adult becomes a child again and joyfully immerses themselves in the world of Disney characters. We arrived around 12:00 PM and managed to try all the rides. The longest wait was for the Tron ride. Unsurprisingly, the experience is worth the 40-minute wait. And the Zootopia area is a whole other story: the waiting area itself, designed to resemble the police station from the cartoon, is perhaps even more interesting than the ride itself. We've been there three times!!! Disneyland is a place you absolutely must visit to make you want to come back.

One day is not enough to explore Shanghai Disneyland. The best ride : Tron Lightcycle Power Run , Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure and Hot Pursuit

Sometimes, the unfulfilled dream of a trip isn't a regret, but a gentle arrangement of fate. We always believe that only by setting foot on that land can we touch the scenery of our dreams. But when we stop and re-examine this longing, we realize that the most beautiful scenery has already blossomed in our hearts. In those days before setting off, we learned to converse with ourselves, reserving a peaceful space for our souls in a noisy world. Perhaps one morning, we will be awakened by birdsong outside our window and suddenly understand that every moment in life can be a journey. We begin to learn to find poetry in the ordinary and beauty in the trivial. This long-awaited trip, though unfulfilled, taught us how to feel the world with our hearts. It taught us that the true destination is not a coordinate on a map, but lies in our love and anticipation for life. Even if our feet haven't moved, our hearts are already on the road—this is the most precious gift that a long-awaited trip bestows upon us.

In this life, everyone should embark on a journey without reservation, to embody the phrase, "I wish to ride the wind and tread upon ten thousand miles of mountains." We are often bogged down by the trivialities of life, forgetting the vastness of the world. The meaning of travel lies in breaking down the boundaries of our lives, allowing our souls to touch the unknown grandeur. When you truly stand atop a mountain, letting the mountain wind tousle your hair, you will find that the obstacles you once thought insurmountable are but a drop in the ocean before the vastness of the land. When we travel, when we traverse mountains and valleys, we are actually undergoing a spiritual cleansing. With each step of the climb, we surpass our past selves; with each breath, we absorb the purest power of nature. To ride the wind and tread upon ten thousand miles—this is an ultimate love for life, a deepest embrace of the world.

Shanghai Attraction #3: Oriental Pearl Tower

Shanghai Map: Oriental Pearl Tower

One of the most well-known monuments in Shanghai is the Oriental Pearl Tower. It was finished in 1994 and has a distinctive design with three main columns, three slanting supports, and eleven different-sized spheres. It is 468 meters tall.
To take in the breathtaking 360-degree views of Shanghai, which are particularly lovely at night, visitors can go to the observation deck.

The view from the tower is great, the glass floor is impressive, and it was a bit scary. 😅 I stood in line for about 20-30 minutes; there were a lot of people, even though it was Monday. I went to all three viewing areas, and I also liked the toy museum.😊

A very mixed experience. The views are stunning, but there are so many people, there are expectations everywhere, it's unclear where to go, there are real crowds... Because of this, the atmosphere is ultimately chaotic, it's impossible to simply enjoy the process. Dinner was magnificent.

Shanghai Attraction #4: Huangpu River Night Cruise

Shanghai Map: Huangpu River

A night cruise is one of the most unforgettable ways to experience Shanghai, which is heavily influenced by the Huangpu River. You will be able to see Shanghai's magnificent skyline up close from the ocean.
The contemporary towers of Lujiazui rise in contrast to the antique buildings that flank the Bund on one side, lending it an air of the past. A remarkable and lasting experience is created by the blending of the ancient and the new.

Travel can make you fall in love with life again. Staring at a computer screen every day, repeating the same routine, slowly numbs you to life. Go out for a walk, touch the weathered walls of old buildings, smell the pine-scented air of the mountains, taste the sweet, freshly picked fruit—all your senses are awakened. You'll discover that there are so many interesting little details and beautiful landscapes in life, and when you come back, everyday life seems much more pleasant.

There are no complaints about the ride itself; the views are incredible. However, there are two downsides. First, it was difficult to find the ticket office where we could exchange tickets. Second, and most importantly, there's no roof over the upper deck. We were unlucky and it was raining. The staff "kindly" offered to pay extra for access to the roof, but a small section of the roof was accessible on the sides, which saved the ride from the downpour.

Must-Have Apps in China

  • China Map App: I love to use Gaode Map (English supported) or Baidu Map (limited English) for real-time transit and traffic. Or you can still use Google Maps in China, but some data may be outdated.
  • China Transport App: Use DiDi (China's Uber) for English address input and cashless payment. I recommend to use the DiDi mini-program in Alipay for more convenience.
  • China Payment App: Use Alipay or WeChat Pay (link foreign cards before arrival).
  • China Booking AppTrip.com for high-speed trains (China HSR Guide), China hotels/flights. Use Trip.com promo codes for USA users.
