Shanghai Map—Top Places to Visit in Shanghai
Featured Spot #1: Shanghai Disney Resort

The first Disney park on the Chinese mainland, Shanghai Disney Resort, debuted in 2016. Mickey Avenue, Gardens of Imagination, Fantasyland, Adventure Isle, Tomorrowland, Treasure Cove, and Toy Story Land are the seven themed areas that make up the resort.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure is a very immersive ride that combines 3D effects and real sets, while the TRON Lightcycle Power Run is the fastest roller coaster at any Disney park in the world.
Shanghai Disney Trip.com offers a variety of park passes and tickets for visitors to purchase.

Super worth it for Tron and Zootopia! It'a worth it to buy the early entry pass because some areas get REALLY full throughout the day.

5/5
It's a really cool place, the throne is the coolest ride.

5/5
It's like being immersed in childhood! It's a land where age knows no bounds... everything... absolutely everything brings a smile, joy, and happiness! The lines for the rides certainly spoil the overall experience, but we weren't particularly looking forward to the rides anyway... it's not worth spending 1-1.5 hours in line just for a minute on the ride. We arrived around 2:00 PM, walked, ate, watched the show, and played in the pay machines, and that was enough for us. The evening show was wonderful! I think you can get pretty tired after a whole day, but that's up to you. We weren't aiming to squeeze everything out of the day! We had a wonderful time! We're eager to visit other Disney parks! P.S. My son won a toy...it's possible! 🙂

5/5
It was a very memorable Disneyland trip for everyone. The park is large and spacious.

5/5
My trip to Shanghai Disneyland was amazing! I would recommend checking the local weather before your visit to plan your day better. Purchasing tickets with a passport was very convenient, and the entry process was smooth. There was no need for a physical ticket—just scan your passport for direct access to the theme park. Overall, it was a hassle-free and enjoyable experience.

Shanghai Attraction #2: The Bund

The Bund is a great place for a leisurely walk and is well-known for its traditional European architecture. Shanghai's history as an international concession is reflected in the historic structures here.
Enjoy views of the shoreline and the tall towers of Pudong's business sector as you stroll along the picturesque Huangpu River.
The Bund tour, tunnel, river cruises, and tour buses are just a few of the many options to visit The Bund on Trip.com offers tickets and tours for these activities.

Beautiful embankment!

Traveling with family brings more joy than any gift. There's no rush; we can stroll at our own pace. Dad stops to admire the flowers and birds along the way, Mom browses the shops for fresh fruit, and the children chase butterflies across the lawn. The family walks slowly, stopping for a group photo, sitting down to share a slice of chilled watermelon, and chatting about everyday things. These leisurely days feel so much closer than when we're all busy; every moment, when looked back upon, is warm and comforting.

4/5
"I visited The Bund at night. There were a lot of people, but the view was amazing. The night scenery was much more impressive than during the day.

5/5
Everything was spectacular! I recommend it to anyone who wants to experience Shanghai from a different perspective!

5/5
Reading and traveling—one of them should always be on the road. Reading is about seeing other people's worlds, while traveling is about walking your own. Measuring different lands with your footsteps, recording different landscapes with your eyes, and keeping these experiences in your heart will change your perspective on the world. Having seen a wider world, you won't be trapped by your own troubles, and your whole being will become more open-minded.

Shanghai Attraction #3: Oriental Pearl Tower

One of the most well-known monuments in Shanghai is the Oriental Pearl Tower. It was finished in 1994 and has a distinctive design with three main columns, three slanting supports, and eleven different-sized spheres. It is 468 meters tall.
To take in the breathtaking 360-degree views of Shanghai, which are particularly lovely at night, visitors can go to the observation deck.

Everything was great. There were a lot of people, but it didn't bother me. And the glass floor was absolutely amazing and scary))) I recommend it.

5/5
This isn't just a symbol of the city and a stunning observation deck, it's a true world in the sky above Shanghai. You can stroll and admire the skyscrapers from above, visit a cool restaurant or an engaging museum, choose exciting attractions, or pop into a shop and pick up some memorable souvenirs. I really enjoyed it. Definitely worth it. I went inside with a ticket from trip.com. I didn't have to wait in long lines at the information center or to buy a ticket – everything was quick, clear, and convenient. As soon as I reached this gem, I bought a ticket and went inside. No waiting. No extra fees. Absolutely awesome.

5/5
I went with just my dad, and he was really satisfied with it the most. Also, the glass floor was great for taking photos, and it was nice to be able to stay and play for a long time.

5/5
The dining experience was good, with a wide variety of food options.

5/5
We went on an overcast day but it was still really enjoyable, the space thing at the top wasn’t really worth the time for us but the glass flooring and museum downstairs was pretty cool. Also we did the VR experiences, the VR rollercoaster was absolutely awesome the cost a bit more though.

Shanghai Attraction #4: Huangpu River Night Cruise

A night cruise is one of the most unforgettable ways to experience Shanghai, which is heavily influenced by the Huangpu River. You will be able to see Shanghai's magnificent skyline up close from the ocean.
The contemporary towers of Lujiazui rise in contrast to the antique buildings that flank the Bund on one side, lending it an air of the past. A remarkable and lasting experience is created by the blending of the ancient and the new.

Travel can make you fall in love with life again. Staring at a computer screen every day, repeating the same routine, slowly numbs you to life. Go out for a walk, touch the weathered walls of old buildings, smell the pine-scented air of the mountains, taste the sweet, freshly picked fruit—all your senses are awakened. You'll discover that there are so many interesting little details and beautiful landscapes in life, and when you come back, everyday life seems much more pleasant.

5/5
Incredibly beautiful and gives a whole different vibe of Shanghai 😍

4/5
There are no complaints about the ride itself; the views are incredible. However, there are two downsides. First, it was difficult to find the ticket office where we could exchange tickets. Second, and most importantly, there's no roof over the upper deck. We were unlucky and it was raining. The staff "kindly" offered to pay extra for access to the roof, but a small section of the roof was accessible on the sides, which saved the ride from the downpour.

5/5
Incredible. Highly recommended!!!!

A very respectable ship, everything inside is very beautiful 🫶🏻 The view from the sightseeing tour is amazing 😍

Must-Have Apps in China
- China Map App: I love to use Gaode Map (English supported) or Baidu Map (limited English) for real-time transit and traffic. Or you can still use Google Maps in China, but some data may be outdated.
- China Transport App: Use DiDi (China's Uber) for English address input and cashless payment. I recommend to use the DiDi mini-program in Alipay for more convenience.
- China Payment App: Use Alipay or WeChat Pay (link foreign cards before arrival).
- China Booking App: Trip.com for high-speed trains (China HSR Guide), China hotels/flights. Use Trip.com promo codes for USA users.
