Datong Huangjing Century Hot Spring Hotel

Very Good

The room felt absolutely fantastic! We booked a family suite, and it was incredibly spacious. Besides the usual lotion, shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner, they also provided kids' slippers, and separate dry and wet slippers. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was quiet. Breakfast was good too, and we even got to try the local noodles. Although the outdoor hot spring only had two small pools, it still created a great resort atmosphere, especially with the kids running around. When we checked out, the staff even gave us a thoughtful parting gift. It was a delightful day.

My friends and I love simple, bright, and fresh decor, which is why we ultimately booked this B&B on Ctrip. The pick-up and drop-off service was perfect for us non-driving independent travelers; the car took us to the entrance of the ancient town, and then the shuttle bus from the ancient town dropped us right at the hotel entrance. This was so much better than dragging our luggage through the ancient town like other tourists. Although the B&B isn't on the main street of the ancient town, it's a short walk from everywhere, which is very convenient, and it offers a quiet retreat from the bustle. The butler's service was incredibly thoughtful; they gave us a map of the ancient town and even explained how to explore and where to eat. Even though it's a renovated old house, the interior feels very modern, and the hygiene is excellent. They provide disposable bath towels, regular towels, toilet seat covers, and even bathtub liners. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with attentive service, definitely recommended.

This place has its own dedicated parking, conveniently located right behind Xinzhou Ancient City, making it super easy to get around. Charging and fueling your car is a breeze. You can bring back anything you buy in the ancient city and enjoy it at your leisure in your room. The private hot spring in the courtyard was a great experience – perfect for soaking while munching on snacks and sipping tea. It even has a retractable roof with lights, so you can enjoy it at night too. The service was top-notch; they provided a pet gift package and a welcome gift, which our dog loved! The staff were incredibly responsive, charming, and generous. We'll definitely be back!

This hotel has a fantastic vibe, apparently designed by a Beijing-based architect. The space is exquisite and super photogenic! The food was delicious 😋 and the butler service was excellent. The sound system in the room was amazing, and the in-room amenities were thoughtfully chosen and high-quality! Highly recommend! It's also very close to the high-speed train station, so you don't need to arrange transportation too far in advance.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend! This is an incredibly stylish private hot spring siheyuan (quadrangle courtyard) guesthouse in Datong Ancient City – the Jinhuangqi Private Hot Spring Healing Guesthouse. The location is right within the ancient city, offering a quiet escape amidst the bustling area, making it very convenient for sightseeing. As soon as you step into the courtyard, you're greeted by a Chinese Zen garden, perfect for photos. The rooms are clean and elegant, with comfortable bedding. The highlight is the private hot spring, offering excellent privacy, and the water temperature is just right. After a soak, you feel completely relaxed and de-stressed. The service is also very thoughtful; the housekeeper is warm, attentive, and always ready to help. The scrubbing and massage treatments were both excellent, with professional techniques. The overall atmosphere is quiet and healing. It's definitely worth staying here when visiting Datong. I'll be back again next time, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

This hotel is located within the ancient city scenic area, close to an underground parking lot, and not far from Xiurong Academy. There's a bar nearby, which can be a bit noisy, but it didn't bother my sleep. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to check with the hotel in advance. For late-night snacks, they offer congee and pre-packaged snacks like Daliyuan mini breads and biscuits. The breakfast spread is quite comprehensive, though there aren't many hot dishes. The hotel staff are all very polite and provide excellent service, and they even gave me a small souvenir when I checked out. Overall, I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10.

The room decor is very grand, and everything is clean and tidy. The 24-hour butler service covers all our needs. Since we were traveling with elderly people and children, there was a shuttle to the guesthouse and someone helped us with our luggage to the room. The hot spring needs about half an hour to prepare, so you can contact the butler in advance to arrange it. It was cozy and comfortable, and our whole family had a pleasant stay. Plus, the guesthouse is in the most 'chill' Southeast Township, which is great for exploring. We'll definitely choose this place again for our next trip. The only downsides were that the noodles at breakfast seemed to have been sitting for a long time and were a bit soggy without much chewiness. Also, there are quite a few steps between the living room, the downstairs bedroom, the tea room, and the hot tub area, so it might be something to consider if you have mobility issues.

Very pleasant trip, I have been on a business trip for more than ten years, and I have lived in domestic and foreign hotels and homestays. I like the feeling of Anyin. Every independent small courtyard has its own name, very nice ~ The location is excellent, just in the ancient city. There are many homestays in the ancient city, but many are very noisy. Some homestays are next door to restaurants, soot pollution and noise pollution. And Anyin is hidden in the world, quiet in the middle of noisy, a unique and independent room environment is very clean, there is a small garden at the door. My favorite thing about An Yin is the service. It's so kind. Every front desk staff sees you and greets you like an old friend. Especially a young handsome guy, forgot to ask the name, this handsome guy like Zhou Xuran, warm and sunny, the yard door lock is stuck and very enthusiastic to move the ladder to help me solve the problem, and also enthusiastically sent a gift when checking out. I really like this kind of friendly and natural atmosphere. 👍 I will stay here next time I come to Wutai Mountain. Just say a word, it is more convenient to go to Wutai Mountain to live in Zhangzhou. Wutaishan B&B is really not good. It is super convenient to charter a car here.

I stayed in the ”Ning” courtyard, a large king room. The courtyard was unique and tranquil. Next time, I'm definitely booking the ”Chong” courtyard! Even though it's a historic building hotel with no direct elevator access, the concierges Zhang Yikang and Zhao Kaihao were incredibly warm and thoughtful. They promptly helped with my luggage both upon arrival and departure, and I sincerely thank them for that!

This homestay is located on the east side of the ancient city of Datong. It is a relatively new area with a much smaller building density than the old area in the west. The building is very exquisite, many angles can be filmed, I especially like the porch. When we lived, we happened to encounter a small exhibition of Tangka. I can't think of Tangka and the tonality of the homestay itself. The room is very good, there is a small hall to eat and put things, the bedding in the bedroom is moved, and it is easy to sleep two adults and two children. Cleaning is very good. At check-in, the waiter will wipe the dirt on the wheel of the suitcase. You have to change slippers or wear socks directly into the room area. Smart toilets are also a plus. The fly in the ointment is that there seems to be a nightclub next to it? There are bass piercings in at around 11 o'clock.
