Hot Springs Hotels in Akita Prefecture, Japan

The hotel itself was nice and clean. The rooms are spacious. There's a heater and dehumidifier in the room. Food is buffet breakfast and dinner. We were in the west wing which requires a bit of a walk to get to the room. And the main inconvenience is there is a flight of stairs to get up before having an elevator to the room floor. The outdoor onsen is in a different section to the indoor onsen. The hotel is certainly geared for skiers as everything closes during the middle of the day (souvenir shop, onsen). So make sure you have activities booked in advance. The website of the hotel is also a bit confusing with the number in-house activities available - be sure to check with the front counter first. Peak hour staff has good command in English but need translation for night staff. A few things of note: - the shuttle is very busy at the 3pm and 10am run - make sure you pre-book - there is a shuttle to tsurunoyu iriguchi onsen 鶴の湯温泉 from a bus stop near the hotel, no need to take the public bus

I made a reservation because I wanted to see the cherry blossoms in Kakunodate. Unfortunately, I was too early and it was farther than I thought! The bus driver and staff were all very kind and friendly. I was touched when they waved goodbye to me on a rainy morning. The food looked beautiful and had a seasonal feel, and the A5 rank beef teppanyaki was meltingly soft and delicious. I was also glad to have the Akita specialty kiritanpo hotpot. However, it was quite flavorful, so I thought it would have been better if they had some white rice. You need a small towel every time you take a bath, so it's better to have two of each. I didn’t have good experience the last few times that I stayed in other hotels of Dormy Inn group in other Japan cities. I was afraid that I might get the same experience like last few times, if yes, it maybe the last time I stayed in Dormy Inn hotels. Not to mention the other hotel groups offer better service that I have experienced. Luckily, this stay was pleasant. Most staff were friendly with attentive service. Onsen was always the highlight. The only drawback was the the onsen was often crowded. The room was clean. The location was fine, 7 mins’ walk. Convenience store nearby.

The five-person room was a little cramped, but although the room was a bit old, it was very clean. Dinner and breakfast were both buffet style; the selection wasn't extensive, but the ingredients were fresh and tasty. There was a free drink bar and popsicles outside the large public bath, and inside the bath, there were children's toys for soaking, which is rare in Japanese hot springs. Overall, if you plan to visit nearby attractions, it's a great accommodation choice.

I enjoyed the moment while staying here a lot, the price is so cheap compared to what I got, big room, dinner and breakfast, private bath and public bath access. I believe if you enjoy drinking Sake you will love the bar

The hotel is close to the main road, which is very convenient for people who drive. The staff is friendly, the room is clean, the breakfast and dinner are delicious, and travelers who like hot springs should not miss it. It is very cost-effective and highly recommended!

My husband and I stayed in a twin room, and the bed was big, the room was spacious and bright, and there was a large public bath in the hotel, so it was comfortable. There was a convenience store right in front of the hotel, so it was very convenient and good value for money. If I come here again, I would like to stay here again.

It is an old building that is not auto lock, but it is a clean and clean hotel. Dinner was delicious with many kinds of side dishes. The amount is not large, but I'm not eating much, so it was just right. The breakfast buffet was more variety and more full than dinner. About 30 minutes by car to Lake Towada. Compared to the lakeside hotel, the cospa is good.

The hotel is an old-fashioned hot spring hotel with a quiet environment and free parking. Although the waiter does not understand English, it is also good to take the initiative to try to solve the problem we need to solve. The slope outside the hotel is very steep and steep, drivers must be careful  There is no store outside the hotel, you need to eat at the hotel, although the food is not too good, but full of Japanese flavor can accept 

All the employees were friendly and enjoyed. I was surprised at the deliciousness of the rice in the morning and evening, and I was impressed with the Akita rice. I think he's good at cooking. However, I thought it would be best if the location of the inn was along the street and there was a little more mountain side or greenery. I wanted to stay again.
