|3.9km from city centerThe man at the desk, who I believe to be the manager, really saved the day for us. After a 12 hour drive with too many delays we arrived well past midnight, but the manager was still available to open up the door and service. We booked and prepaid through Priceline but Priceline's 3rd party moneyhandler Agoda Services, which goes thru Thailand, was refusing to release the prepaid funds which meant the room couldn't be paid to the Inn. After considering all the available options (and the Priceline phone saying it'd be 5 hours wait time), even though the proprietor hadn't received the funds, he comped us the room on faith and said he would handle the payment from Priceline on his end. I could only experience this kind of compassion from someone who believed in customer service at the highest Quality and I hope Dharmendra Bhanderi, General Manager, who I believe I was talking to, gets the highest award and accolade and praise for doing everything he could to retain the customer, and succeeding! A+++++++++

|3.16km from city centerOpen app Your location Best Western Mission Inn 1765 S Main St, Las Cruces, NM 88005, United States Hotel wiccandove 52 points 3 hours agoCar broke down while traveling from Canada to California. Called this place from the garage to inquire about a room for the night, stated I have cats. Front desk clerk said no problem, did not ask me any questions about cats or mention any fees. Took an uber from garage to hotel only to be told they have a 2 pet limit....I have 3 cats. Turned into a complete fiasco with the ”owner” (who originally said she was in a meeting and unable to meet with me until I said I would wait in the lobby with my 3 cats for her to be available, she showed up dressed in a graphic t and jeans 10 minutes later...) first saying of course she would make an exception and was very sweet, pulled up the best western pet policy to show me. Then wanted to charge me $20 per cat. When I questioned this she suddenly said she decided she would stick to the 2 pet rule after all. Very sketch, even the second Uber driver said she was probably going to pocket the extra $40. I went to a different place who also charged per pet but was very clear and upfront about it and their policies. When I left the lobby I informed them that I did find another place who also charged per pet but would rather give them my business. Both the owner and the clerk CHEERED when I said this. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever had. And if I wasn't able to find another place would they have just left me and my ”adorable fur family” (according to the owner before she changed face) be out on the street? Also called corporate while I was in the lobby to be told that the owners do not need to follow the exact company guidelines and when I asked, so they can pick and choose policies and change their mind when it suits them? The CSR said ”unfortunately, yes”. Picture here of me and my cats sitting on the curb waiting for the Uber. This story and pictures will go on my vanlife you tube channel for others traveling this way. Shame on this place

|2.7km from city centerWhat a great hotel! We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and took local hikes, shopped and dined. This hotel is a great location and close to Dripping Springs (beautiful hike), White Sands, Las Cruces farmer's market, Mesilla and great restaurants. The hotel was quiet and very clean. The AC in the room worked great and cooled off the room quickly and nicely. The room was also very dark for sleeping. The staff, especially Hector at the front desk, was very friendly and helpful. Hector went above and beyond. If we are ever in the Las Cruces area again we will definitely be staying here again!

|2.33km from city centerWe had another family reunion at Hotel Encanto last week. The rooms were clean and updated, the pool & hot tub were clean and in good working order, the beds were heavenly comfortable, and my dog was accepted and supported in her stay. However, Davion was the one front desk person who was able to clean up the many room billing tangle that we created, and he did so with grace and respect. My mother had double booked and changed around the rooms last minute according to her idea of location and preferences, and the room had been pre-approved at special rates, so the other front desk personnel had them completely mixed up and over charged. We are super grateful to Davion for his superb customer service!

|1.44km from city centerIf you like an air conditioned room, avoid this hotel. Our room had not one, but two sensors (one above the door, one on the wall) which shut off the air conditioning when you leave the room. Which means, when you arrive, the room is an oven and you have to sit there if you want to cool it off. If you want to shop or go to dinner, you return to a hot room which will take a long time to cool off. Then comes the worst part. The air conditioner cycling on and off was the loudest I have ever heard in 40 years of travelling. Sounded like a diesel truck starting up outside the window every 10 minutes while it continually cycles on and off. But, you don't discover this until after midnight because you couldn't cool the room off unless you babysit the air conditioner. By the time the room cools off, it's too late to change rooms. All the front desk could say the next morning was, ”we could have gotten you another room.” Sure, if I could have discovered the issue in the normal amount of time. We got virtually no sleep and after a long trip ahead, it was the worst possible situation. And, it's a shame, since the hotel itself presents very nice.

|4.16km from city centerThe ENTIRE reason we stayed there was for the slide in the pool. We got there and were told the pool was going to be closed all weekend due some kids making a mess the previous night. I explained to the employee we booked there to use the pool with the slide and she said …sorry it’s closed
I took a look in the pool area and everything looked fine and felt it was not quite right to close it off for the entire weekend when that is when you have the most people
VERY DISSATISFIED!

|4.09km from city centerLook elsewhere if you want a clean place to lay your head. Although it was a cost effective solution for two nights.......the room was definitely not 'covid' sanitized or even cleaned for that matter. The carpet was dirty, the desk top was dirty, and dust layered on many surfaces. The floor behind the door in the bathroom was layered with dust and dirt. Lampshades were falling apart, and the lounge chair was old and worn. Breakfast was not served; perhaps due to Covid shutdown. There are many other choices in LC near I-10 and the university.

|4.24km from city centerWe have stayed here a number of times and the hotel is always clean well maintained and staff are courteous and friendly. This was no exception; we were delighted with the stay. However, there have always been two shortcomings in our experience. The TV reception has always been poor and the internet flaky. This time the TV was excellent, but the internet not so good. WiFi did work, but I think it was not compatible with my laptop for some reason, so I thought I would use the Ethernet cable. It was dead. So, I thought I would go to the Business Center; the machines there were dead. I talked to the desk clerk and was told that this was no surprise and calls by hotel personnel to remedy this were usually ineffective. The Ethernet connection and the Business Center were both down for our entire three day stay. Ironically, as we were wheeling our luggage out on check-out day, I noticed that one of the computers in the Business Center was up. I was not a happy camper.

|4.13km from city centerThis hotel is very ascetically pleasing with Spanish style flooring and decor. The rooms are good size with nice, firm beds, and clean bathrooms. The rooms come with a mini refrigerator, coffee maker and a microwave. Check-in and check-out is a breeze. The down side to this hotel is that it's noisy. We could hear other guests talking in the hallway from our room, not to mention the slamming doors too. The lobby started playing piano music at 6:00 am, which could be heard clearly from our room. I'm not a light sleeper, but the noise was enough to wake me up.

|4.63km from city centerI pulled into this hotel after a long day of riding and asked for a roon on April 4th. The rate they gave me was $111. total out the door. Asked why it was so high and was told it was do to demand. The parking lot was half full. I was tired and just said fine. When I got my credit card statement I had an extra $50. charge on my card. Called for a credit and they couldn't find my name and suggested I stayed at another Super 8. Got on line and did some research the next day and confirmed I stayed there. Called again for a credit and they told me there was a note I was given cash. I told them I never received cash and wanted my refund. Asked why they couldn't find me on my first call and now they say I got cash. Finally agreed to issue a refund. Never again will I stay there.

|4.18km from city centerI stayed in this hotel for one night when I arrived the gentlemen behind the counter was very helpful and friendly. when I got to my room I found that my room was very clean and the noise level in the hallway was very low. I slept very good. The next morning when I woke up I went downstairs for breakfast the eating area was super clean and the food was good. Another thing I liked about this hotel was that the location was close to my job site. I would definitely stay here again.

|4.54km from city centerMostly a good experience. Hotel has some issues, small things like missing a towel hook on the bathroom door. Drawer in bureau sticks. Showing its age. Needs a refresh. Try not to get a room with an even room number. Your room will face a busy road and you might have excess road noise. Hotel located close to Mesilla area and the downtown area (near the university). Breakfast is what one expects for a free breakfast.

|2.54km from city centerStayed her one night as it has great proximity to Carlsbad Caverns National Park. The room was a standard Fairfield configuration and was clean. We noticed there was no soap provided in the room. When we called down to the front desk, they said they were out of supplies and they suggested that if we had brought our own personal shampoo, to use that as an alternative. Things did not get better when we went to breakfast. They were out of milk and creamer for coffee. Had not hot breakfast options and just a few packaged muffins, hard boiled eggs but no fruit (not even bananas or apples). The told me at checkin, since their occupancy was low, they would put us on the ”quiet side”. We locked out and could see train tracks. So we though maybe the highway noise was louder than the train. It was definitely not quiet as trains consistently passed by through the night. I inquired to General Manager Kelsey Swanson, but was told that ”supply chain issues” were to blame, and that their hands were tied. We checked-out and headed for Carlsbad Caverns. As a Gold Elite member, there was no recognition during the stay and essentially we were told to ”get over it” and due without soap inthe bathroom or any passable breakfast for the rate.

|3.82km from city centerThe room had nothing but two towels and a roll of toilet paper. NOTHING ELSE. They might be in the process of renovating… I hope that’s the case… But nothing was mentioned. In my travels over the last year I had begun to appreciate La Quinta returning to being a pleasant and safe motel as they were when the chain opened. Definitely not theCase with this property. The worst part was the fact that the door lock mechanism was loose and broken on the inside! Along with very poor lighting on the property.
