Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam

Oude Centrum Amsterdam|0.86km from Royal Palace Amsterdam
Given the reviews, I was not keen to stay here, but thanks to Ajax v Napoli there were no others available. To sum up, this isn't a 5 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. It is a 3 star hotel. Positives: - Location is superb - Architecturally stunning building - Large room (in my case, at least) - WiFi speeds are good. I was able to do video meetings from my room - Staff were pleasant and friendly Negatives: - Inside, the hotel is dark and in a state of disrepair - The kitchen closes early, and room service appears to not be possible. I was told that I should download Uber Eats if I wanted food after 10pm. - The room is tidy, but basic areas like around the sinks, bath, windows and TV were dirty - There is a smell of sewage that comes from the shower drain - The majority of channels on the TV are unavailable - There is no air conditioning. I had 2 tower fans in my room, and I had to use them both just to stay cool - No help with luggage, not that I couldn't manage myself - You get a bottle of water on the table when you check in. I had some the first night because it was so hot in the room. The second night when I was working late, I turned to open my fresh bottle. Nope! Same half empty bottle, had just been moved back to the table again. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel! Stay somewhere else. A few weeks earlier, I stayed in the Sofitel Legend. THAT is a 5 star hotel.

The location is really very good, convenient from anywhere, the hotel is small, but understandable, the location in the city center, everything is worth it, there is a chance to come to the Netherlands again, it is really a man ’s paradise

This is a very interesting hotel. It appears to be a converted office building. The lobby is crowded but adequate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The 2nd floor hallway was very dark and had interesting door numbers. Our room overlooked the street, was spacious with a shower in one corner and the toilet near the entry door. The shape of the room was unusual. The fixtures ”bathroom” sink served as a headboard for the bed. The television had multiple international channels. The hotel was very convenient for walking in the central area. Lots of restaurants, bakeries and shops were nearby.

I stayed here second time. The room was really small, but the bathroom seemed bigger. It is really of four-star standard, with a refrigerator, a safe, and carpet available. In the afternoon, closing of the elevator was a bit noisy. It was very quiet at night. If you select breakfast on your own, it will cost around 13 Euros.

Hotel: We booked 2 rooms and was pleasantly surprised as the service was great and rooms were cute. Everything was very basic but in a good way. Bed was comfortable and rooms were very clean. We love the cold so there were not much issue when the heater wasn’t turned one when we checked in. Overall, very very satisfied. Oh, and the location is fantastic!! Restaurant: We only ate our late dinner which were the burger. Not great but service was fantastic and drinks were served efficiently. I would say we were very happy to have found this cute little hotel in Amsterdam. Will definitely come back when we revisit ;)

The room was a bit small, but it had everything we needed. They have a bell at night for extra security in the room The view from the window was to a H&M store so it wasn’t the best But the overall of the room was good I have enjoyed, the location is fantastic, it’s literally a 10 steps from the Dam square, everything is nearby

Awesome, location is invincible, you have to buy something to walk within 5 minutes to buy. Very new hotel, the whole hotel is less than 20 rooms, people are not mixed, the lights can be magical. The 2018ams hotel is topped. I will come back next time.
