Booked a double bed, the bed is queen size, no problem to sleep with children. The most intimate thing is that when the child gets sick in the Netherlands, ask the hotel if there is a doctor. The hotel is still very powerful. It was almost 10 o'clock in the evening and the doctor was invited to the room for treatment. Prescription hotels can also help to get medicine. Although small expensive but good value for money. In addition, the children of the hotel were told that they are more sensitive to the air. They came over at night to handle the sheets and changed the sheets again. Breakfast is quite rich for European hotels. If you are traveling by car, the hotel also has a parking service, with a parking space of 90 euros a day, and will help us wash and clean the garbage in the car for free. The location of the hotel is absolutely in the city center. The room is spacious and beautiful. It is a pleasure to sit on the balcony and watch the canal. The service is superb. The old doorman is a gentleman, and the receptionist is very polite. The bathroom is large, and the bedding in the room is superb, very comfortable. It gets dark at half past ten in the summer here, and the beautiful bells echo in the night sky. Special reminder: This hotel can check out at 4 pm.

We are staying at the Intercontinental hotels as our main hotel and have been most impressed. Our stay at the Amstel was so pleasant! The staff was absolutely amazing, every person we encounter was so helpful and kind. It is impossible to single out anyone as each team member was great. We ate at the hotel all of our meals except one and the food and service were perfect. We were so grateful that although the afternoon tea was full they were able to accommodate us in another beautiful location where our view was spectacular. We are in hotels 150 nights a year and our experience at the Amstel was one of the very best. The staff members were such nice quality people. They thanked us for allowing them to provide assistance to us. We were so humbled by the generosity of the hotel staff. While dining everyone pitches in and help one another and whatever we could want was provided immediately. Thank you very much with complete sincerity and gratitude. The management should be commended for encouraging such terrific service. We look forward to our next visit to Amsterdam and staying at the Amstel.

Hotel location is very good! Almost all the attractions can be reached by walking. Passing a bridge is the famous red light district The hotel is very cautious from the welcome drink. Great location, near to food places and the canal. The only time it was inconvenient is over the weekends when the close off the roads after 10.30pm till 7am the next morning so taxi or ubers can't drop you off at your hotel lobby, so something to be wary of when checking in or out with huge luggages over the weekend. Nothing to complain about the hotel itself however, will definitely be back!

The location is fantastic, the ground station is the ground station, only 4 stops from the central station. Downstairs are all restaurants and bars, food quality is not bad, many attractions can actually be reached on foot, although the room is on the street, but the sound insulation is quite good, the counter staff is very cordial and polite, much worse than Paris! If you have the chance to come to Amsterdam again, you will stay again!

Excellent location, could walk to every “tourist” place. . Plenty of restaurants and bars right outside the doors! The breakfast at the hotel was great with lots of options and the staff very accommodating! Pastry chef is outstanding..deserves a raise!! Croissants the lightest fluffiest ever! Everything tastes as good as it looks! Front desk staff very nice, Sarah went out of her way to “fix” a minor problem and continued ask if everything was ok each time she saw us. Rooms clean and roomy, beds comfortable would stay again if ever in Amsterdam and recommend this hotel to anyone who asks! Transportation from airport is a little pricey (taxi for 4 ..70-100 euros depending on traffic ) but once you are there no need to use again.

The hotel is quite close to the central train station. It is also close to the Chinatown, the Rembrandt museum, the restaurants, and other touristy places. The staffs are friendly and helpful. There is a small restaurant on the first floor. There are also a small shelves with snacks and drinks behind the receptionist, so it’s quite convient to get some midnight snacks. The room has a nice size and it is very clean. The decoration is quite playful and modern similar to other Ibis hotel. The price is good for the location and the size of the room. However, the room is not very sound proof. It’s easy to hear the sound coming from other rooms and form the corridor. At this time, Holland does not require the mask anymore inside the hotel so it’s nice to feel back to how it was before the pandemic.

Hotel location was good as it is in the central area to almost all activities that we went. But however, hotel room service did not help us to empty our toilet trash bin every single day despite that we gave tips everyday, so I'm not sure how clean exactly is their room service. Bring extra cash for hotel tax and deposits as we were only told on the 1st night of checking in when the recept call up to our room to ask us to go to the reception to pay for our hotel tax and deposit, where only the deposits will be refunded upon checking out if you did not consume their in-room beverages or destroy their hotel etc. Hotel location is very near to 2 super mart, and also the ******** coffee shop, cafe and restaurants, not very convenient for kids as every where smells of ********. Breakfast was super good spread, large varieties, we love it.

Given the reviews, I was not keen to stay here, but thanks to Ajax v Napoli there were no others available. To sum up, this isn't a 5 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. It is a 3 star hotel. Positives: - Location is superb - Architecturally stunning building - Large room (in my case, at least) - WiFi speeds are good. I was able to do video meetings from my room - Staff were pleasant and friendly Negatives: - Inside, the hotel is dark and in a state of disrepair - The kitchen closes early, and room service appears to not be possible. I was told that I should download Uber Eats if I wanted food after 10pm. - The room is tidy, but basic areas like around the sinks, bath, windows and TV were dirty - There is a smell of sewage that comes from the shower drain - The majority of channels on the TV are unavailable - There is no air conditioning. I had 2 tower fans in my room, and I had to use them both just to stay cool - No help with luggage, not that I couldn't manage myself - You get a bottle of water on the table when you check in. I had some the first night because it was so hot in the room. The second night when I was working late, I turned to open my fresh bottle. Nope! Same half empty bottle, had just been moved back to the table again. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel! Stay somewhere else. A few weeks earlier, I stayed in the Sofitel Legend. THAT is a 5 star hotel.

Upon arriving, we were told that we were to check-in at the lobby but that our actual room was across the canal at another building and up three flights of stairs. I explained to the concierge that this was unacceptable, as both of my parents are in their 70s and struggle with physical exertion. The concierge was accommodating and changed our room to the main building, up one flight of stairs. The hotel has a great location - I have stayed in Amsterdam before and it is challenging to find good places to stay for fair prices. This placed us just a walk away from Rijksmuseum and other sites. However... Parking was way far to the north of the city at the harbor, the bathrooms were super small, and the mattress kept falling off the bed board.

The front desk service looks at people. On the first day, the brother was careless while chatting with other people while doing check in. I booked a river view room, the river view is very beautiful, open the window, you will feel the world is very beautiful! This is a small hotel, by the canal, the room area is not big, it is a small sparrow, it has all the internal organs, anyway, the facilities are not new, the toilet is relatively simple, it can only be considered barely acceptable. . The uncle at the front desk was pretty good, and I couldn't see it on the TV. There is nothing else to say. When I stayed at 1,000 yuan a night, the price/performance ratio was not high compared to the youth hostel I stayed in later.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Very basic room, which we then had to move from because the bathroom light wasn’t working. We were then moved to the very top floor, which had a lovely view and a nice bathroom. However, there weren’t even bedside tables next to the beds or table lamps or anything. Bed was actually really comfortable though. Bathroom was lovely, lots of room however the shower was a slight poor design as the floor got soaked whenever you had a shower. Safe in our room was broken, which isn’t ideal when you’re on holiday and have valuables. People at the desk were nice and helpful. Very basic hotel, but clean and felt safe there. The outside noise on the street at night is very loud as there is a restaurant with outdoor seating right next door, so if you are sensitive about that sort of thing then I wouldn’t necessarily recommend. The location is excellent, truly the best part of this hotel. Literally everything is within walking distance!! Loved this part and so glad we chose this hotel for the location. Pros and cons to this hotel, but overall nothing serious to complain about, especially for the price we paid. Would stay here again for a short stay.

My fiancé and I had the most wonderful 3 night stay in Amsterdam and this hotel was the crowing glory of it. Our room was so lovely that we actually ended up spending more time in the hotel than we had planned to. The room was very stylishly decorated and had tea and coffee making facilities, a lovely comfortable bed with nice pillows, a nice big shower and an amazing view of the canal. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly in person and also super helpful whilst I was making the booking. It was my fiancé’s 40th birthday and when we arrived they had put balloons and a little note on the bed for him. To top it all off, the hotel is perfectly located, really close to all the touristy stuff. When we next come to Amsterdam, I wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else!
