Top 5-Star Hotels in Beihai

This was my third trip here in as many weeks, and let me say that this is an outstanding hotel. In a city not known for luxury, the Shangri-La does an outstanding job. Their service is top notch - from the front desk, to room service, housekeeping, to the pool area. The pool attendants are vigilant about the rules, which I like! There really ain’t a beach to speak of here, as there is a (still) unfinished construction project just offshore, but it is fun to talk around at low tide and see the fish/crabs. A hotel attendant is there with plastic bins for people to catch things, which I did not like because it is wasteful of plastic and encourages people to keep/kill wildlife. Other than that, the hotel is great. Go yourself a favor and book a deluxe room, which are on the higher floors and have an awesome view of the sunset. The rooms are impeccably clean and luxurious, too. Great time here!

I enjoyed my short trip to Beihai at the Crowne Plaza. The facilities met my expectations and I enjoyed the indoor swimming pool during the hot summer day. Breakfast provided a wide variety of assorted foods and hotel staff were pleasant and accommodating of foreigners. I didn't book a sea view room so the view was average, but the room had everything I needed to have a very comfortable stay. Hotel staff helped me place an order for McDonald's food as my travel to the hotel was late in the evening (by that time the hotels kitchen and restaurant had stopped operating for the day). They even had the delivery guy give the food to me at my room door for which they greeted me and apologised for the disturbance/inconvenience caused because their kitchen was not operational at that time. My money was well spent. I am happy 😁

The reception staff is very helpful, although more English-speaking staff would be advisable as most of the staff does not speak English and it is a 5star hotel. I would like to mention Lisa who speaks English and was very helpful, providing useful information regarding hotel facilities, Covid test places and places of interest. Big up to Lisa! The breakfast buffet is okay, but the pastry choice is a bit limited and, generally, it feels that the hotel does not really cater for western guests (mainly Chinese dishes). The buffet lounge is full of light; it is very spacious and facing the seaside, which is great. However, the cleanliness can be improved as the tables and the floor were not cleaned quickly enough, and my table and the floor under it were greasy/dirty. The facilities are quite varied. The pools, gym, tennis court, steam room were used during my stay and they were in good condition. The steam room takes a long time to heat up though. The staff in the gym/swimming pool does not speak English at all. The table tennis room and some other facilities were under maintanace during our stay, so we did not use them. Overall, the hotel has more recreational facilities than most hotels. Well done! Regarding the location, the hotel is on the coast, but the sea is not swimmable there, so you can only enjoy the view. The hotels near the main Silver beach (for example, Crowne Plaza) are considerably more expensive (about 500rmb difference), so a 30-min taxi ride there (costs around 30 rmb one way) still makes the Furama hotel a much more economical option. The sea view from the rooms is very nice! Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and a late checkout was highly appreciated! My rating of the hotel is 4.5.

This is not the first time I have stayed here. Every time I come, my kids are reluctant to leave. The hotel facilities are very complete, the smart home in the room is very considerate, the breakfast is also rich, and more importantly, the hotel service is very attentive. Special thanks to the front desk manager Zhang Meihua. After learning that we had brought children to stay, he upgraded the room type and provided many suggestions for surrounding activities. The environment is comfortable and much better than the B&Bs in the villages on the island. For those who like cleanliness, just close your eyes~ In addition, I brought the elderly and children out during the summer vacation. Their home also has an exclusive indoor swimming pool, which is simply a paradise for children. My kid didn’t want to go back to his room after swimming all day~ The only indoor swimming pool on the island was so crazy about it! The supporting facilities of the hotel are quite complete and stylish. There are private camping, sunset restaurant and terrace bar. Every time you take a photo, it is very romantic and full of vacation experience. In addition, the butler service is warm and thoughtful and helps us arrange the whole trip properly. There are papaya white fungus stews in the evening, seafood porridge and rib noodles for breakfast are not poked, the ribs are very soft and delicious, in short, every day is full of satisfaction. There are also many small restaurants outside the hotel. I went to a barbecue at night and it was great! In short, it is a hotel that I want to live again, and I will definitely come to Weizhou Island next time!

I took my children to the beach for a weekend vacation and chose the Sheraton because it was newly opened this year and has good hardware facilities. It was Christmas Eve and there were many Christmas elements in the hotel. We booked a sea view package, which included breakfast and dinner. Before arriving at the hotel, the hotel customer service warmly called to ask if there was any need. Since I had a child, I asked for extra bed rails. After checking in, the hotel upgraded the suite to a sea view suite. The bed rails had also been installed. All supplies were online and bedside. The alarm clock is actually a JBL, and also has the function of a Bluetooth speaker, and the details are perfect. We had breakfast and dinner in the Shiguang buffet restaurant on the first floor. Personally, I felt that the staple food tasted average, but the desserts were more satisfying. Because the temperature dropped on both days and the wind was very strong, we could almost only play in the hotel, and we visited all the parent-child playgrounds in the hotel. Also, I can feel that the hotel's customer service staff are trying their best to provide good service. All in all a good experience.

I went to Weizhou Island for the second time to watch the whales and found this treasure hotel by accident. The hotel is more stylish. A very large hotel is said to have only eleven yards. We have booked a family suite that is more suitable for our second-child family. There are two bedrooms and one living room. The eldest lived alone in the second bedroom on the second floor. The two of us took Erbao to live in the master bedroom and the beds in the two bedrooms. They are all big beds, and this type of apartment really seems to be tailor-made for a second-child family like us. The last time I came to Weizhou Island, I have seen all the scenic spots on the island. This time I mainly brought children to watch whales 🐳. The housekeeper provided by the hotel is very professional, and has made a itinerary for us according to our needs-going to the sea to watch whales, catch crabs in the sea. The hotel helped to book a boat seat for whale watching. It has to be mentioned here. Considering that we are two adults with two children, and Erbao is only three years old, the hotel specially arranged a housekeeper to follow us to the sea. Taking care of the children, we found out that this arrangement was really very thoughtful after we went to sea. When we were watching the whales on the return journey, the sea was windy, and both of us were seasick. Fortunately, a housekeeper took care of the two children for us. The butler took a lot of photos and videos for us when we were whales, and they were very professional (the circle of friends we posted were all taken by the butler), what was even more touching was that the butler saw that we were all seasick and informed the hotel in advance Ginger tea was cooked for us. When we returned to the hotel and entered the room, a pot of warm ginger tea had been delivered to us, which warmed the stomach and heart. The next day, the housekeeper took us to the sea to catch crabs. Under the guidance of the housekeeper, the children quickly learned how to catch crabs. The two children were going to play crazy. It was expected to play for more than an hour. for a whole morning. In terms of other hotel experiences, I have to mention a big contrast from the last time we went to the island. Last time we went to the island, we stayed in three different hotels and B&Bs. We found that there was a common problem, probably because it was an island and the humidity was very high. Great, the bedding and linen of the three stores we stayed in all felt sticky, that is, it was very wet and uncomfortable, but this store did not have this feeling at all. My husband said that maybe it was because of the linen in the new store. For a relatively new reason, I only found out after asking the housekeeper that this hotel has installed a fresh air system and a dehumidification system, and the hardware equipment is good! Will come again next time 😄

Personally staying in Pazhou, I feel the best hotel at present. The waiters are very enthusiastic. The room attendants are very timely to deal with the problems in the room. The sanitation is also very clean. The hotel environment is good. The room supplies are complete. The towels and quilts are also very clean. Living is very safe, the location is excellent and the pastoral style. Convenient to travel, the lobby is simple and atmospheric, the layout is reasonable, the front desk is efficient, the thoughtful and professional is very good, there is a special car transfer, there is a small kitchen to prepare breakfast, the room is bright and quiet, the health is very clean, the mattress is very comfortable, the water is fast, the water temperature is good, highly recommended, Weizhou Island is very good, Come back next time [strong][strong][strong][strong][strong]
