However, for those planning a four-night consecutive stay, there are a few practical points to be aware of. Beach and Water Activities The sand on the beach is quite fine and white, but at low tide, the tidal flats are very shallow and mixed with small stones, making it unsuitable for direct swimming. On the other hand, it’s perfect for using the complimentary (30-minute) kayaks and stand-up paddleboards provided by the hotel – the equipment is new, you can launch directly from the beach, and the staff even offer basic instruction, which is a big plus. Spending an hour or two here each day is a great way to enjoy the sun and work off the delicious food. Poolside Breakfast Breakfast is served semi-buffet style at SugarBEATS, with seating right by the pool. Enjoying your meal by the poolside truly adds to the vacation vibe. The food is refined, especially the Indonesian fried rice and freshly prepared Pho, but the selection isn't extensive, and eating there for four consecutive days can feel a bit repetitive. Biggest Pain Point: Only One Restaurant in the Entire Hotel This is my biggest gripe. You're stuck eating dinner at the same place, and by the third night, I was at a loss for what to order. The prices aren't cheap, but the food is just average. I highly recommend bringing your own snacks or simply walking five minutes to the Holiday Inn next door for more dining options. Other Minor Drawbacks While the greenery is lovely, there are a lot of mosquitoes, so you need to open and close the balcony door quickly. Soundproofing at night is mediocre; footsteps in the corridor are clearly audible. Summary If you're drawn by the design and service, a 2-3 day stay would be paradise. However, five days and four nights is definitely on the longer side. Remember to plan at least two days for excursions (like the mangrove tour or Blue Lake), otherwise, you might get bored. I'd give it an overall score of 8.5/10 – it offered pleasant surprises, but didn't quite reach full marks.
