"Location is good cos it’s nearby the beach, warung yeah, mini mart. But service, food and cleanliness can be improved. Food was honestly so-so. Service can also be improved. Booked a pool view room with cabana/terrace, and was told that the room I booked for 4 nights was unavailable because it’s fully booked so they offered me a dinner. I had to ask for my other 3 nights to be transferred to an available pool view room with cabana/terrace. Shouldn’t that be a given since I paid for it? I was supposed to be transferred to another room and a housekeeping staff said that our room was ready. After packing up and heading down to the reception, I was told that the room is not ready and I have to wait 1-2hrs more. Finally, I was given another room. It’s ocean view, not even pool view. The pool view was necessary so we could keep an eye on the kids. Kids club was also NOT properly equipped - little toys, cheap quality - so we don’t see the point of having one in the first place. Price point is good, but for the so-so food and service I won’t be coming back here. Anmon and Holiday Inn is far better."

"As a group of four friends, this trip was all about relaxation and taking a quick break from the hustle and bustle of Singapore. It was the perfect getaway to unwind and just chill. We spent most of our time inside the villa, especially since we had our own private pool, which we absolutely adored. The vibe was amazing, and we loved how we could enjoy our own little party space. The facilities and amenities are beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. However, there are a few areas that could use some maintenance. The shower head was loosely hanging, the toilet tissue holder needs tightening, and the curtains had noticeable black stains. A little upkeep would definitely enhance the overall experience. Service-wise, the staff were very hospitable and always ready to assist. The WhatsApp service was also a big help since there are no in-room telephones, it made communicating our requests much easier. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was a fun and relaxing two-night getaway, and we appreciated having a cozy and private space to spend time together"

"Saw some negative review from Google or Trip.com, but I still decided to choose for this resort because of the locations. Also, that after spoke with the driver and I know that the view of the beach of this resort is actually the best one in bintan. It’s quite expensive to eat inside the resort, especially the Indian food at night. I went to the Chinese restaurant, but we didn’t order the seafood. The waiter is very helpful and very nice and polite. We order for the medium person, but he advised us not to choose that because the portion is really big."

"Service was great, they sent a buggy to send us to our block as it was a bit further away from the reception. Staff were all very friendly, always greeted us when we walk past each other. Nice view too!"

"Hotel was clean and located in the Lagoi resort area which is where we wanted to be, however the hotel seems old, the gym was a sad excuse with just dumbbells, order food at the rooftop cafe, quiet flavourless, service was good despite the hotel being empty but was still asked to check in at 3pm or pay IDR200k luckily this was not much of an issue as we had activities arranged, that said the room was comfortable enough however the AC stopped working the last night I was there and didn’t come on again causing me to lose sleep."

"The entire trip was okay! Staffs were very very friendly and welcoming. Especially love the swimming pool! For the price of the tent itself i think it is definitely worthy. The only thing to take note is the food they sell there is not as cheap.. spend on average $70/80 for every meal for 2 pax..."

"To the management and staff of Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel. My husband and I were attracted to Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel for to its rich and unique history, the conversion of a cruise ship to become a hotel! From email communication to the end of stay, it was a great experience. We wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary, the hotel offered a package of decoration with a slice of cake at a certain price but we told them that we can do without it but we were pleasantly and happily surprised when we entered the room, the bed was nicely decorated for our wedding anniversary then a knock at the door with the delivery of the anniversary cake and a personalised card anniversary card! Another pleasant surprise was the ship specially organised a Heritage Ship Tour for us at a timing on 24/10/25 that we can make it. We were so happy with the heritage tour as we very much wanted to know more about the history of the ship, to visit the engine room etc...Tuti, our lady Heritage Tour Guide was friendly, knowledgeable and quick into action when we needed some information about the rooms and hall ( in case we may want to book in the future) Another thumbs up for the hotel. Overall, the staff was polite, smiling always, eager to serve. We will recommend this unique ship hotel, something different from other hotels and the great service!"

"Service staff was friendly and smiley. They upgraded us to a suite which was very much appreciated. I have indicated that the stay was for my son's Birthday and was welcomed by the nice decoration and cake which my son enjoyed very much. The Kids Club is quite small. Varieties for breakfast can be improved and the restaurant felt uncomfortably warm with some flies flying around. The massage at the spa was good and we were served a nice pot of tea with yogurt and fruits after treatment."

"Our stay was just perfect. It is a beautiful Balinese traditional set-up villa, every staff was friendly and so kind and it really touched my heart. It's a bit old property but perfectly maintained, I didn't feel it's old at all and I was rather impressed how well they kept this beautiful villa. You can also notice a great attention to detials, the person (people) came up with this design and architect must be genius! I was worried after seeing the review on bugs, yes there are bugs, but it's perfectly natural cause the villa is in the middle of the nature! That's the charm of this resort. I would be concerned if they use too much chemicals to kill the bugs. I hate bugs but there was nothing harmful - like a roach I always see in HK.. so I was totally ok! There are cute lizards roaming around too, I really loved watching them. I really enjoyed staying in Banyan Tree but most of all it was people who made my stay memorable - everyone smiles and greeted so nicely which really made my trip. They were very attentive and accommodating too. I wish I could go back one day!"

"Returning to Bintan Island after more than two decades, I never expected such a wonderful experience. The hotel is brand new, located right next to the recently opened Holiday Inn. Guests have full access to the facilities of both hotels, including the Holiday Inn's Kids' Club – which was incredibly convenient for us, allowing us to confidently leave our children with the staff for a few hours. The hotel boasts its own private beach, offering a quiet and relaxing environment. Honestly, there's no need to fly all the way to Bali; Bintan Island offers a perfect short getaway. While the island's town doesn't have much to explore, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel. The room design was very tasteful and spacious, complete with a sea view. There was absolutely no noise pollution. All the staff were incredibly friendly; no matter where you went, their smiles and greetings made you feel warmly welcomed. Overall, this stay far exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend it to families or couples looking for a relaxing getaway."
