Lovely boutique hotel down on the Boston waterfront across from the Aquarium stop. Very convenient location and friendly check-in. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. I only gave it a four since the heat didn't seem to work well despite setting thermostat to high and I brought it to the attention of the front desk when I checked out. I enjoyed my stay despite the cool room in mid-winter.

I sent my child to summer school and stayed at the beach for the last two days, thinking it would be convenient for fun. I didn't expect that the large room I booked was in the basement. As soon as I put down my luggage, I saw a huge bug crawling out from behind the door. My husband killed it with a slipper. Well, since we'll be playing outside most of the time, let's just make do with it. $300 is really not cheap! The hotel is very close to the aquarium, a 5-minute walk away. There are many restaurants around, and there is a subway station right outside. The room upstairs is relatively small

The property was incredibly convenient and centralized for a very walkable Boston. It’s close the docks for boat tours, near the North end for Italian, and Faneuil Hall is right outside the doors.
The rooms are nice with exposed brick walls and comfortable seat ups. The rooms even have a receiver and speaks for good music and a “vintage combo vhs/dvd” player! They have a huge selection of old tapes and dvds, which is just hilarious.

The hotel staff was all very responsive and kind. There were always 2-3 staff at the front desk so there was never a wait despite considerable traffic.
The way the modern hotel is built into the historic building is brilliant. I had opted for a room with an exterior window, but it seems like the way the hotel is set up that any of the rooms is likely an excellent choice (though I did love our view of the city streets).

Great location for food, entertainment, and shopping, not to mention its convenient location to the airport. Tastefully updated while maintaining that old school feel. This will be our go-to for any future visits back to Boston.

My husband and I stayed at this property 19 years ago during our honeymoon—this was our first trip back. We mentioned it to Jeffrey (who was checking us in) and he was so very sweet welcoming us back. It made us feel valued and special. The location is fantastic to get just about anywhere and the rooms are still cozy and charming—you even get real keys on keychains rather than a card. It’s true old school charm.

This hotel is sort of a welcome throwback. Actual keys, real brick in the rooms and even VHS/DVD player. I sort of liked the old school paper check in too. The front desk staff was plenty friendly but not superficially so. The room was comfortable. I would not call it a boutique hotel by today's standards, but it was nice to escape yet another Hilton or Marriott rebranded same old overpriced thing. The location near the harbor and a T line stop out the front door is really convenient. Plus you are a block off the Freedom Trail is nice. Parking is overpriced as you would expect. But everything is very walkable.
