"There was nothing wrong with the room but the staff are beyond incompetent. We arrived and tried to book in after a long wait we asked about dinner. It was 7pm we were told we could not have any as there was a wedding party eating in the restaurant. We explained we were part of that party and had pre booked our exact meals. We were a party of 10 the food was poor and the service very slow. Apparently the chef was too busy with the microwave to ensure the orders were correct. Attempting to pay was lengthy and it was clear that no one had a clue. We informed them we would like breakfast and were given a piece of paper. When we came down for breakfast we were told we couldn’t have it as we had not booked a time. Noone had asked us to. The place was empty the lady serving was rude and unduly obstructive. The place was run like Fawlty Towers. We have stayed on many many at other Premier Inns but this was by far the worst. The staff need training they are rude and disinterested."

"I've been here three times. It's really nice. Clean and bright. Breakfast provided. (Toast, yogurt, cereal, jam, cheese, and a variety of fresh fruit mean that you'll start the day properly fed.) Free parking (that is REALLY important in Clacton, actually ANY parking in Clacton near to the seafront is great). Friendly, and non-intrusive proprietors. Five minute walk to the beach. Ten minute walk to the pier. A very decent pub about 150 yards away, and a brilliant Turkish restaurant just around the corner. Just wonderful, just don't book there when I want a room."
