I spent a few nights at La Escalinata recently (Feb. 2023), and found it just as nice, just as pleasant and welcoming, as I had on my first visit 14 months earlier. My original review appears a little below; it is just as valid now, as it was when I first wrote it.

We loved this hotel that's within short walking distance of the main area of town. The host was beyond friendly and welcoming, and willing to provide guidance (either in Spanish or English, if that matters to a guest). She was a very important part of making our stay the best possible. The room was clean and had what we needed. The view over the courtyard to the mountains behind the town was beautiful, and the room balcony was the perfect place to be before sunset. About a half hour before sunset, we saw some very vocal macaws fly right over head every day. It's downhill to town, but quite manageable (worth taking it slow in the rain, the cobbles all over town are slick when wet - walk in the mortar between stones). Bonus: on a rainy evening, Sol de Copan is right around the corner for a good dinner of German/Honduran food.

Le doy 3 puntos ya Que es una casa Que se ha adaptado a hotel. El parqueo es pequeño. Cocina a la visibilidad que permite ver cómo te cocinan. La parte de servicio debe de mejorar en el aspecto de amabilidad. Las almohadas son algo incómodas ya que son muy grandes. Pero el precio es justo vrs lo que se recibe

Hotel Escalinata liegt in Ortsrandlage, ruhig und weg vom Trubel, eine steile Gasse hoch. Dennoch ist das Zentrum gleich ums Eck. Zu den Ruinen kommt man gut zu Fuß. Frühstück immer mit frischem Obst. Es gibt Zimmer mit Balkon mit Bergblick. Freundliche Inhaber.

El hotel esta situado cerca del centro a una distancia caminable, la vista desde el balcón hacia la montana esta preciosa. El hotel es sencillo, tiene un pequeño jardín y balcón. El cuarto estaba comodo y todo funcionaba con la excepción que la TV fallaba un poco.El cuarto nos pareció algo pequeño pero fue suficiente. El desayuno fue bueno, nos dieron 2 opciones (huevos o hotcakes). El lugar tiene como una parte en construcción.
