No door, no ventilation and no soundproofing. Backpacker's nightmare. Don't recommend you stay at their dormitory - find somewhere else (there are other options that are as affordable).
Upon check-in, I was not given any key of sorts for my dorm bed (which was puzzling), and then I was led down a staircase into a basement room that had its doors wide open (it was permanently unlocked). The room had no fan or aircon of sorts which made the air very stale (also given that it is in the basement). Although I admit the location is very central, you hear the WHOLE street and city centre buzzing which will make it incredibly difficult for a light sleeper like me to ever fall asleep.
It felt unsafe and uninhabitable. I've stayed at many backpacker hostels and this was the first one that made me flip and leave to find other options.

It's in a very good location in the center of town. The room was clean and the view from the window was great. I felt it was a very good place to stay for the price.

We stayed in the hotel's youth hostel dormitory, which was in the basement. The bed was quite comfortable, but the environment was a bit dark. The proprietress could speak Chinese and looked very intellectual. The youth hostel also provided breakfast, which was freshly made according to the menu. There was a restaurant on the top floor, on the 9th floor. The flowers and plants were warm and the scenery was great. We must go up to take pictures.
