We stayed here for one night on July 27, 2024 to go to a Detroit Tigers baseball game. The valet, front desk clerk and another staffer Jay were all so friendly and helpful. Our check in was quick and efficient. The room was very nice with comfortable beds and nice clean, comfortable sheets. Jay helped to give us advice to take the free People Mover to the baseball game. We would definitely stay here again.

The room was ok. The location is also very good. The gym is huge and has a lot of equipment. Downstairs is the General Motors showroom. The breakfast was a bit poor. I was a bit annoyed at the long queue when I checked out. Since I had to catch a plane, I threw down my room card and left.

I spent one night at the Hollywood Casino at Greektown. I did not visit the casino. I was looking for a nice place to stay for the night. The hotel grounds were 4-stars. I arrived around 7 PM. It took some time to check in because I had to wait for a number of others who qualified for the VIP check-in line.
I stayed in a basic, twin queen room. The room and bathroom were nice and modern. Shortly after getting into my room, bright exterior lights turned on - shining in the direction of my room. I couldn't see what they were illuminating, but if I had to guess, it was perhaps the hotel name written on the exterior. Those lights stayed on all night. The drapes didn't completely cover the windows, so my room was illuminated all night. The room stayed one temperature despite what the thermostat was set to. There was an intermittent hum coming from the in-wall heater as if it was revving up. I ultimately slept with earplugs.
I am have been able to overlook the illuminated room, dysfunctional thermostat, and intermittent hum if I was there for other reasons than to sleep, like to visit the casino, or go out.

We chose the Siren due to its excellent location on Broadway - in the middle of downtown with lots of good bars and restaurants a few minutes’ walk away. It is in a unique building which makes imaginative use of the limited space available, given how narrow it is. We were aware the rooms were very small and so booked a Parlor room which was on the 8th floor. It was still on the small side but had 3 big windows with a great view of the Detroit Athletic Club building, Opera House and Tigers stadium. There was the usual city noise but this didn’t bother us at all. The room had nice bedding, a slim sofa, table and chair. There was no storage or hanging space for clothes due to space but a couple of hooks on the wall with hangers. There was no safe which was disappointing, and also no fridge. There was a cupboard under the TV with ironing board and fan/heater which we felt would have been better used for the above items. Quirky bathroom with nice but limited toiletries. Unfortunately there was no dine-in breakfast option available at this hotel - at our time of booking, they had this in the Ash Bar as well as a weekend brunch, but these were stopped a few weeks before our stay. You can get coffee and a pastry in the lobby. Also no happy hour which was previously listed. It seems like they don’t have much demand for this bar as it was closed at random times. Hopefully these will come back. We did have a drink at the Candy Bar which was fun. There was no coffee in the room, and no complimentary water anywhere. The corridors and communal areas are extremely dark which takes some getting used to, but not really a problem as you aren’t in them for long. Staff interaction is minimal but courteous. Would recommend.

It is close to the city center, not far from the supermarket, and also close to the GE building. The front desk is very kind, and it is returned in US dollars. Overall it is good. The breakfast is relatively good.

It's average, especially soundproofing. I was basically able to hear what was said on the roof. And parking costs $ 33. But I didn't ask too much in Detroit.

Outstanding
An excellent and reasonably priced (c. $US190 per night) choice for visiting the museum area of Detroit. Our room in one of the once luxurious Victorian houses that comprise the inn was large and comfortable, if somewhat basically equipped. An acceptable breakfast of somewhat limited choice is included at no extra charge. There is ample on-site parking for residents. Ideal choice for visiting the Detroit Institute of Arts.
My wife and I wanted to do a staycation with our two young sons (5 and 7), and we could not have picked a better location. The Cambria is absolutely beautiful! They staff were are courteous and provided excellent service, the ambiance and aesthetics were flawless, and the surrounding amenities and attractions are spot on. I loved everything about our stay! In addition, I was fortunate to meet one of the hotel executives (Nick), and he is the man! Super cool guy, laid back, and showed me that he truly cares about guests having a wonderful experience. That was a tremendous bonus during our time, and I look forward to our next visit. Definitely recommend staying here for any occasion or celebration. A.T.
Perfect location in downtown, walkable to the sports arenas, shopping and restaurants. We were upgraded to a studio room that was large and included a kitchenette, counter w/stools and sofa. The room and hotel were very clean and included hardwood floors. Breakfast was good. The staff was great. Tiara and Ricka at the front desk were awesome and help us with the recommendations and downtown events.
I wanted to like this hotel, but the reality is I wouldn't stay here again. The service and amenities do not match the price point of this property, which commands $400-500+/night rooms and $48/night parking. Too many problems, some big some small, that all added up to be a disappointing experience. Some examples: * Biggest problem was the mattress! They are incredibly soft to where my 5'10, 150 pound frame sunk legitimately halfway into the mattress. Any support the mattress had has been softened by the body impressions of prior guests I'm sure. I had a lot of trouble sleeping because of this, like I was sleeping on a slant rather than flat. I've never experienced this before. * Phone did not work so there was no way to contact the front desk * They don't respond to the feature in the Marriott app where you can text the hotel staff with requests - we asked for a second robe as you'd think should have been provided when I said there would be 2 adults staying in the room... (in general the front desk staff has some nice people and some rude people). * No luggage racks, even when requested. Why am I on the floor accessing my sprawled luggage? * The room thermostat and HVAC were not designed well. We walked into the room on a chilly 64 degree day and the AC was blasting, it was frigid in the room. We turned on the Heat but even after 30 minutes there was still no warm air coming out. If we turned on the AC at all it would freeze the room with vast quantities of cold air but if you click it off the room gets humid... * After being out all day we got back to our room at 5:30pm and housekeeping hadn't even come yet. * We were on a high floor but the noise from outside (car noise, people yelling) was very loud. I don't experience this when I'm in Chicago or NYC... I imagine they cut corners on the windows and other soundproofing during the renovation. Bring a white noise machine. In short, I would say that this hotel wants to be upscale but doesn't know how. I've had better stays at Westins. Peel back the wallpaper and decorative furniture and this is actually a pretty bad hotel deep down.
GGuest UserThe hotel was beautiful. My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay. We were in town for a concert at the little Caesar arena and this hotel was in a prime location. I will definitely be going back.
HHillJenniferThe furniture was badly scratched and damaged. The carpet was nearly worn out. The desk chair fabric was worn, and even the trashcans were rusted inside. Overall, the room needed to be remodeled. My room was cleaned once after the first day of a five-day stay. The cleaning staff didn't come until 2:30-3 pm on days three and four. I attended training classes and events between 9 am and 2 pm. I will probably not book a room at a Wyndham Hotel again. I should have taken photos.
刘刘Colleagues went to the United States for a business trip and helped him choose a hotel. The service was quite good, the facilities were ok, the price was not expensive, and the basics were not bad. Mainly interested in parking free, haha
GGuest UserThe staff was rude from the very first phone call. Refused to take our reservation over the phone. When we arrived we found out there was a $100 deposit that was required-talked to others in our group-they were not charged that fee. I tried to talk to the girl at the front desk she wanted no part of listening to me. Our entire group ( we were there for state wrestling finals) and our keys were all uncoded for our 2nd night. So after a long day we ALL had to go to the office and get new keys. The rooms were dirty-very dirty. Hair in the shower, our friends room had glass on the flower and messages left from Valentines Day on the counter. Almost no hot water-the front desk person had no way to get extra towels. Rooms had 2 towels with a 4 person occupancy. We tried to book somewhere else but due to the wrestling finals we couldn’t find any other place with availability. This is not a Baymont standard hotel and we are very dissatisfied. I will be disputing these charges with my bank.
