The Sen Grand Hotel is the perfect blend of affordability and luxury. As a luxurious yet budget-friendly hotel, Sen Grand consistently delivers superb value with high-end amenities you'd expect to find at a much pricier hotel. From the moment you step into the lavish lobby, you're transported to a space that feels indulgent yet accessible. The lobby features plush seating, ambient lighting, and contemporary decor that make you feel like a million bucks without breaking the bank. The executive room is a spacious suite featuring a comfortable king bed, desk, flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi to keep you connected. But the highlight has to be the large rooftop swimming pool, big hot tub in the room, fitness center, and restaurant on-site. You'll never want to leave! The pool is warm and inviting, perfect for swimming laps or lounging on a pool floatie. After a long day of exploring, the hot tub is the ultimate relaxation station for me with the maximum privacy I can enjoy. From the generous amenities and modern decor to the friendly staff,Sen Grand provides a level of comfort and quality that can't be beaten for the price. If you want luxury without the hefty price tag, Sen Grand is the obvious choice. You'll live your best life without breaking the bank at this affordable yet upscale hotel chain. With Sen Grand, five-star style and service are well within your reach.

Greetings, here are some key features of the hotel, hope you find it useful:
1. Location: Situated in the Ba Dinh district, it’s close to several embassies, Thu Le Zoo, and West Lake. The area is somewhat removed from the main tourist areas, offering a noisy stay but still accessible by taxi or ”Grab.”
2. Rooms and Amenities: The hotel offers a range of rooms, including family suites and apartments with kitchenettes. Rooms are equipped with modern conveniences like flat-screen TVs, minibars, and free Wi-Fi. The room I've stayed offers an exciting city view, which I would highly recommend.
3. Facilities: Guests can enjoy a Japanese-style bathhouse, a thermal-water swimming pool, a fitness center, and a spa offering beauty treatments and massages. The hotel also has a restaurant serving Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine.
4. Service: The staff is frequently praised for their helpfulness and proficiency in multiple languages, including English, Japanese, and Chinese. The housekeeping service is noted for its thoroughness and attentiveness, although they were not able to understand basic English word and it becomes little difficult at times.
5. Breakfast: The breakfast buffet receives positive feedback for its variety and quality, including local dishes like pho.
Pros:
• Good value for money.
• Excellent breakfast options.
• Clean and well-maintained facilities.
• Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons:
• Little far from major tourist attractions, but close to Lake and church.
• The street outside can be busy and noisy, which might be a drawback for those sensitive to street noise.
Overall, Super Hotel Candle is a solid choice for both business and leisure travelers looking for comfortable accommodation with good facilities in a quieter part of Hanoi.

What a lovely hotel. We landed on our first day in Hanoi at this lovely property, just overlooking the lake. Its a nice, calm, quaint area with cafes and restaurants around. The rooms are spacious, best amongst all the other hotels that we stayed in.. The room, bathroom has a luxurious and Victorian kind of feel. The staff at the reception, entrance also at the breakfast restaurant were very helpful. The breakfast is also very nice, lot of variety.. thoughtful to have a little Indian food counter for breakfast. All in all we had a great stay. Thank You.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to stay at the Somerset Westpoint for about 3 months in 2021, waiting for the permanent house we had found to be available for us to move in with all our furniture. We got a furnished 2-bedroom apartment on a high floor, with an amazing view overlooking West Lake. Beautiful place, modern and stylish, all the furniture and appliances were just in perfect condition. The outdoor swimming pool (probably around 25m long) is wonderful and never crowded so you can actually swim for your daily exercise if that is part of your routine. They also have a great gym and a virtual golf practice that seems to be state of the art technology (but we never used it). So the place itself is amazing, modern and charming, pristine clean, and greatly located in Tay Ho. But even more outstanding maybe is how nice everyone has been there with us during our stay. From the housekeeping to the front desk staff and the management, everyone has just been wonderful to us (and I am not saying that just because we got a totally unexpected special chocolate treat on Bastille Day – we are French…) Impossible to mention everybody here but we would like to give special mentions to the ones that we remember the name of and that we had a special relationship with: our dedicated and meticulous housekeeper, Hoang Diu, who took such good care of our home during these three months; Kylie Quynh who was able to locate for us the manufacturer of some of the furniture at Somerset that we wanted to get for ourselves, Mr Mitchell, always so nice and pleasant, and of course Miss Minna, always smiling, who made me feel at home with her great French speaking abilities and who gave us as a souvenir an orchid from her garden that is now in ours. Also, I would like to mention someone that we have never met in person but that we exchanged a lot on WhatsApp with, Miss Doan Thanh Huyen, customer representative, who helped us with the logistic of moving in and out, and who has proven herself to be an amazing incarnation of “customer satisfaction first”. We have travelled a lot, in many different countries, and I have to say that this place really stands out. Big thanks to all the team for making us feel so comfortable and wishing you all the success that you deserve!

The hotel is close to Hoan Kiem Lake and the Cathedral, and the surrounding transportation is very convenient.
The hotel is very new, the hardware facilities are also great, and the key point is that the service at the front desk is very enthusiastic. We bought a data card but couldn't make calls. The beautiful lady Nguyen Dieu Ly at the front desk has been enthusiastic to help us make phone reservations for restaurants, spas and car services, and also gave us the hotel's souvenir essential oil soap, which is really cost-effective.

Nice service, very comfortable stay at the hotel. Located at a convenient location. Chocolate hour was nice, but should be given more publicity and could be introduced during check in at the front desk, bet a lot of guests don’t know about it. The pool was clean and everything was nice. Breakfast was excellent, and all staff were friendly. Totally worth a recommendation for friends who are visiting Hanoi.

It was a Luxury hotel stay with Somerset Grand Hanoi.
We reached the hotel early morning 6:30am via Sapaly train down Sapa Hotel. we were warmly greeted by the hotel manager to inform us we can rest our foots n have complimentary coffee ☕️ and biscuits 🍪 on its 4th floor “Residences Lounge “
As our requested Executive room was not ready by 12:00noon ( as we requested earlier check-in), we were utterly surprised knowing we were given 2 bedroom apartment instead of! 😇😃
When we checked out the next morning, the customer officer even send us to its Entrance seeing us board the taxi to airport.😊

There are a total of forty-seven hotel rooms. Designer Bill Bensley has integrated opera elements into every detail of the hotel. The corner of the performance area on the first floor separates the open bar from the stage, and the backstage is an all-day restaurant. The dazzling grid ceiling and opera stage scenery, rehearsal stage, dressing room, retro dresses, and dozens of old objects from the French colonial period are all available. Each floor has its own theme of artists, designers, musicians, etc., and even each room has masters of corresponding themes and dramatic scenes of different styles. Overall, it is a medium-sized hotel. It is stunning at first glance. The service details are in line with the price. The selection of spare parts is also in large bottles, which is quite satisfactory. The non-alcoholic mini bar is free and refilled every day. The living room has free afternoon tea, free wine of all kinds in the evening, and all-inclusive snacks. It is worth it from a cost-effective perspective. The surrounding area is an absolutely rich area with various luxury shops. There is a night-time ceremony in the evening. After turning down the bed, It comes with an eye mask and a small gift, and the data cable will be buckled with a leather buckle for you, and the small details are still full.
Capella Hanoi's glorious Koki Japanese food on the B1 floor this year received 1 star. It has only 14 seats and offers a set similar to Omekase. The price is relatively expensive (basic evening set is 5,500,000/person and 8,500,000/person). Reservations can be made by email in advance on February 14 Dinner arrived at 6:30 and it was almost full. The menu is fixed and there are not many choices, but the products are very good.
The basic set meal we chose, the first is two kinds of clam teppanyaki, the second is the sea shrimp teppanyaki with vanilla sauce, the third is the signature Yaeyama beef, the beef nose certification is really speechless, the fourth is 20 minutes to make Koki's signature garlic chicken fried rice, and the final dessert was eaten in the lounge next to it. It was a combination of matcha ice cream daifuku and Japanese hot donuts. In the end, we collected RMB 20 million for champagne and drinking water alone. Thanks to the Japanese uncle chef, he was really handsome.
Breakfast at Capella Hanoi is the all-day dining restaurant Backstage next to the lobby bar on the first floor.
The Backstage restaurant restores the elements of the opera house to the greatest extent, creating a transparent and gorgeous golden hall, decorated with opera costumes, the flowers are yellow phalaenopsis, and the menu is “Diva’s menu”.
Breakfast at Capella never disappoints, almost all are a la carte, and the a la carte menu is simply dazzling. The first page is the Vietnamese specialty Pho, which was rated as the top three Pho food in Hanoi by our guide. There are other traditional delicacies such as baguette sandwiches. In terms of Western style, the breakfast includes fresh oysters imported from France and smoked salmon waffles, which are full of sincerity. The various eggs, especially the eggs Benedict, are superbly made, and the crepes and waffles are also delicious.
The chef is well-known in Vietnam. He can already eat very nice food in the hotel without leaving home. This trip has been very satisfying.

Outstanding
GGuest UserFirst, the location was amazing. It was located right in the heart of the Old Quarter. We had an 18 hour layover in Hanoi and this allowed us to maximize our short time here. We got to experience the culture of Vietnam in an incredible way. Second, our host, Huong Nguyen, was the best. She helped coordinate a private car from the airport to the hotel and gave us a full itinerary of places to eat and visit to maximize our short stay. She was exceptional at her job and she became our very first friend in Vietnam. Huong, thank you for all that you did for us. I hope to see you again soon. Third, the spa here was one of the best spa experiences I’ve ever had. Not only was it very affordable, but the experience was truly world class. If you stay at La Siesta, I highly recommend that you take advantage of La Spa, a high end spa experience that you won’t want to miss out on. We will definitely be visiting here again in our next trip to Vietnam :)
GGuest UserWe loved staying at this hotel. The staff were outstanding, very obliging and helpful. The king size bed and pillows very comfortable. Great shower and the air conditioning worked wonderfully well. Well situated in the old quarter and so easy to walk to the lake, restaurants, coffee shops and Beer Street. Great rooftop bar and the Red Bean restaurant on thr ground floor very good for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We stayed here overall 8 nights in total.
GGuest UserHanoi is a great destination for anyone interested in far East. Its history, beautiful nature, and wonderful people offer travelers a wonderful experience. Our hotel made the experience far more enjoyable and memorable. La Siesta is in a great location to get a good sense of daily life in Hanoi. I suggest getting a room with balcony if you can. The breakfast is elaborate with many options to choose from and rooms are quite clean. There is also a good size heated pool though I would have liked it a bit warmer. But the best part of our stay at the hotel, was the staff. Everyone was so welcoming and greeted us with a smile every time. If we needed to find a place to see, they would take time to look and share their suggestion. For us, with no prepackaged travel plan, this was great. They arranged some of the activities for us and they all turned out great. The food tour is a must with a knowledgeable tour guide. The hotel arranged the entire thing. I would certainly go back.
GGuest UserPros: The staff was extremely kind and accommodating and willing to help with any and everything if mentioned to them. It’s a fab location with Hoan Kiem lake well within walking distance, yet not right in the middle of the hectic old quarter so it’s possible to get a good night’s sleep (our room didn’t have a window, so unsure if this is true for rooms with window). Beds were changed every day and also clean towels daily however other amenities like toilet paper, shampoo, bodywash etc weren’t topped up during our stay. Cons: We arrived after the advertised check in time and our room wasn’t ready which wasn’t ideal after 17 hours of flights, however also understandable that sometimes other guests check out late. I think because of this they rushed to get the room ready which meant it wasn’t completely clean e.g hair on the floor, fingerprints on the mirrors/glass. Our TV didn’t work, the wifi was very slow during our stay, and the shower ran cold for the first 2 days which to be fair was fine considering how hot it was. Booking.com still states that breakfast is available here but nothing was mentioned to us about breakfast, and it’s worth noting that the photos used by the property definitely aren’t accurate. The property is nice, but not like the photos. Our room was windowless which I cant remember whether this was mentioned when booking. We didn’t complain as we 1) were very tired from the travelling, and 2) felt that it was a case of you get what you pay for (budget room/hotel). However I felt considering the high score the property has on booking.com and on here, it was important to leave a more accurate image of the property. Overall I would recommend for budget travellers, but keep in mind that you get what you pay for
AAnonymous UserBe careful when asking the staff to arrange an airport taxi!
300,000 VND wasted.
I used the Grab app during my trip to Vietnam, and I was thinking of using the app to arrange a taxi to the airport when I returned home, but the staff said I would arrange it and wouldn't listen (half forcibly). So, well, it's a hotel, so I thought I wouldn't be ripped off, so I made a request.
When I entered Vietnam, it was about 400,000 VND from the airport to the hotel by Grab, but the staff agreed to arrange for 300,000 VND, and I paid the fee the day before check-out.
I wanted to keep proof of payment, so I asked for a receipt and was given it. (In the end, it didn't help at all.)
I checked out the next morning, but the staff who paid the taxi fare the day before was asleep and was absent, so I was dealt with by another part-timer who was sleeping on the sofa in the lobby.
I'm sleepy, but I'm quite suitable (I didn't even ask if I don't return the room key from here), and at the taxi meeting place that I had reserved the day before, I was told something I didn't understand in Vietnamese, and I gave instructions with my fingertips. I was in a situation where I didn't know which one to take while the taxis were stopped.
When I tried to check with the young man again, he was nowhere to be found. . .
In the end, I ended up taking a different taxi and ended up paying 400,000 VMD to the driver separately.
I don't expect Japanese level response, but I have to say that the taxi response this time is too appropriate.
I sent an email about this, but never got a reply.
Hotel facilities and cleanliness are reasonable for the price.
(There are some stains on the sheets and a little black mold in the bathtub, but I think it's not a problem if you're not a fastidious person.)
The location is good for walking around the old town.
This kind of thing happened just before returning to Japan, and it feels like something.
GGuest UserHotel location is excellent if u are a partier, beer street is just a stone away. Room cleanliness is still acceptable but dining area is not. Maybe staff at dining area is not enough. Staffs are friendly and helpful however during the check out process, we were asked to wait for more than 30 minutes as they are checking the room which was absolutely not acceptable.
Ps: we went to ask how long it going take.
GGuest UserRatings are always based on personal standards and judging criteria. For this, I am coming from the angle of a cheap airport hotel. This is the best airport hotel around Hanoi Noi Bai Airport, and at a decent price. Do not expect intercontinental buffet breakfast, business lounges and the likes. The room is pretty new, clean, functional, and large. Despite being close to the airport, you can barely hear anything from landing aircraft. Breakfast is simple at best, and staff seem to be still in 'training', with only Brian being the 'boss'. Rooftop pool doesn't look well maintained, and the entertainment room has been abandoned totally altogether, with the foosball and billiard table left to collect dust while it has become a storage and parking area. But hey, its an airport hotel. Purpose is to have people sleep for 1 night before leaving prompto. It is situated in a pretty rural area so don't expect any established eateries or convenience stores nearby. Think roadside hawkers and home-run provision shops. In conclusion, best airport hotel near Hanoi Noi Bai Airport.

The location of this apartment is the biggest advantage. It is a 5-minute walk from the 86 bus stop (from/to the airport). Also, it takes 5-10 min strolling to reach the Old Quarter and Dong Xuan market. Plus, 20-25 min walking will bring you to the Ho Chi Ming mausoleum. Everything far would require a taxi or a scooter via the ‘Grab’ app.
Generally, this apt has a solid ‘3’ out of ‘5’. Everything you needed was there: a full-size kitchen, a microwave, a two-section fridge, a washing machine, a fan, an AC, a TV, a kettle, a cooking stove, all utensils and plates. The bathroom, a sink and a loo are clean, a hairdryer works well. You could even have a full foamy real bath (I was too lazy to extra clean the bath, that’s just me. Extra precautions). The bed is fine, and the bed sheets were clean. Nothing to complain about.
Now, why it is ‘3’ (or maybe ‘3.5’). For this money per night, in other places, you’ll get a 20-24 sq.m. room. While this apt generously will host you with 60 sq.m. (I have to confess, it was the main reason I chose this place among the locations). This place feels really like a proper apartment. Pay attention, this is not a ‘Hotel’ but a ‘Home-stay’ or an ‘Apartment’. There is no Reception desk. Nobody will meet, greet, and assist you. You will be on your own with any questions you may have upon arrival. Moreover, the entrance to this apartment goes through… the sushi restaurant. Yep. Right through the tables with people eating. Plus, the instruction sent prior to my arrival with all digital codes to open the doors to get in/out looked more like a maze or a puzzle. Good news, from 10 am till 10 pm the front restaurant door is open and you won’t need to worry (at least) about one of the ‘getting-in game’ challenges.
Al-in-all, with all instructions provided by Trip.com and the owner, I managed to check in smoothly, had a nice Hanoi vacation and didn’t mind some hiccups with local neighbours downstairs getting up early and starting cooking their breakfast)))
Good luck with your trip!
GGuest UserThe slippers that were provided for walking around the room was too loud, where it is difficult to be quiet when walking around in them. The husband is also uptight in not letting people eat in the dining area but outside which I can understand and could go along with, because they don't want the guest to leave garbage or get their table dirty, but they need to at least leave a garbage can outside so the guest don't have to leave it on the ground. I didn't like how I couldn't find a place to throw my ice cream wrapper away when I ate it outside and had to end up throwing it in the garbage of another person's place.
I also didn't like the location of how it was out of the city center where it wasn't near any grocery stores or open fruit and vegetable, and meat markets. Just by a bunch of restaurants some being a bunch of aggressive jerks sitting outside waiting for bystanders to walk by where they try to aggressively approach you to get you to eat at their restaurant. I need a place where I can use a kitchen to cook food for myself. I don't need to eat out every day.
These owners are a bit shady at times in that when I did came in early where it was not time for me to check in where I was willing to wait until my room is ready, their son had the nerve to try to make a few bucks off me in that if I pay them a few bucks, I can have my room before the check in time which was a bit tacky. The husband didn't give me very good advice when he told me that staying at this place is good for going into the city center and coming back, which it isn't for me, because I have to take the bus 1 hour and 45 minutes to the city center which is a longways. What lousy advice for my situation like he was trying to convince me to stay longer just so that they can make more money off of me. This was a little tacky too. Good for them, but not good for me.
I also didn't like how they send my clothing to a cleaner when I thought they were going to wash it in their washer and hang it up on their clothesline on their top floor. Not only that, but the cleaners lost my dress pants in the process or probably even stoled it and kept it for themselves and not really telling me the truth. I told them about this and they said that the cleaners who they sent it to didn't know what happen to it. The owners were even trying to try to lie a little bit by saying that I never gave them a dress pants for them to wash which is a bunch of ********.
They could have just let me use their washer where I could have used my own detergent to wash my clothing and hang it up to dry on their clothesline on the rooftop of their place where I would have paid them for it. For all I know these cleaners that they sent my clothing to for them to wash could be their friend and they are trying to help give their friends the business for any of their guests that has laundry for them to use. These cleaners are probably a bunch of thieves for all I know that probably looked through guests clothing for things that are valuable which they take and pretend that they don't know anything about it when the guests inquire of it. This is another shady tactical thing that they are probably doing as well.
I even asked them if they could compensate me which would not have amounted to much which they had refused. They didn't even have the nerve to apologize to me but to only lie to me by telling me ******** that the cleaners who they sent guests clothing to never lose any of their clothing which is a bunch of ********. All of this could have been avoided had they either let me use their washer or they wash it for me in their washer where I would have paid them. Do not trust these people with your clothing!!!!
GGuest UserI really liked the location of this place in how it is near a lot of food, fruit, and vegetable stands. I also liked how it is near a lot of mini stores where I can go pick up things that I need. Owner is very nice and loans me things that I needed. She is very respectful to me calling me sir. Hotel maid was very friendly to be around. I like how there was a portable convection stove for me to cook things with. I like how there were silverware, chopsticks, and dishes that I can use to eat my food with. Very good deal to use the washer where it only costs 20,000 dong for the first time and free for additional uses. I liked how it was near that big Winmart grocery store.
Hotel room was very clean. I liked how it had this small space where I can hang my clothes up to dry which was perfect because it was directly underneath the air conditioning unit of the room upstairs where it gives off the heat which dries it faster. Hotel always has a fresh clean set of towels available whenever I need it. Hotel always has toilet paper available whenever I need it.
The only thing that I didn't like was that now and then, there are spiders, where I had to kill 2 of them. I also had to deal with a big spider on my last day. I am somebody that has a fear of spiders.
I might comeback to this hotel in August, September, or beginning of next year when I comeback towards Hanoi in Vietnam and the situation fits for me.
