Best Western Hotel Slenaken

The hotel is situated in a beautiful location. The rooms are slightly outdated but in order and equipped with all necessary comforts. Personally, I'm not a fan of the tapestry, but okay. Bathroom has a separate bath and shower. The doors close automatically with a very loud bang - noisy. As others have already written, very friendly staff in the catering area, but the ladies at the reception lack any kind of cordiality. We stayed at the hotel with a group of friends. A couple refuses a room because it had clearly been smoked in the room and there was an unpleasant smell. After some insistence they got another room, but this "stink room" was then casually given to another couple, without solving the problem.... !!? It is best to skip the restaurant, price / quality is out of proportion. The cook lacks any form of inspiration to complete a dish, with a game dish, for example, we only got Brussels sprouts and no other vegetables. It also makes it quite easy to use frozen products. For example, we got soup with clearly factory-cut vegetables, personally I think that the soup was even completely a factory product. With the main course again clearly factory-cut vegetables that you normally find in the freezer compartment, together with a fried potato dish that has been baked too long. And for dessert a stale cookie that was already wak. To end on a positive note, the breakfast is fairly simple, but good and the service by Patrick very good.

Nice and comfortable hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Extensive and good breakfast. The only downside was that the heating in the room and the bathroom did not work well because it makes it a little less pleasant in the winter months.

Zeer gastvrij ontvangst in een sfeervolle ambiance. Genoten van mooie wijnen, heerlijke borrelplanken alvorens met een bus naar Maastricht te gaan voor Andre Rieu. Bij terugkomst waren we met z'n viertienen nog welkom voor een afzakkertje in de bar. Ook het ontbijt was zeer goed en wederom een zeer vriendelijke medewerker. Tilo, Joost en Team, bedankt! Het hotel ligt er mooi. Heeft ruime parkeerplaats. Kamers zijn goed. Personeel vriendelijk en correct. Het ontbijt is wat kever van verwachten mag. De kamer waar wij sliepen was een beetje gedateerd. Maar wel superschoon. We hebben er niet gedineerd. Drankjes zijn normale prijs.

De ventilatie functioneerde in het hele hotel niet, als je dan een toilet in de badkamer hebt, is dat niet echt fijn. Ontbijt was voor 4 sterren eenvoudig, junior suitte is niet echt ruim. Door het hele hotel een vreemde lucht, dat zal wellicht door de grote groep fietsers zijn die onder de modder met fiets en al in het hotel kwamen. Het uitzicht was op geparkeerde auto's en de vuilniscontainers , hoe je dat voor elkaar krijgt in zo'n mooie omgeving. Kortom prijs stond niet in vergelijking met het gebodene.

Chambre à trois lits vaste et confortable, jolie vue et belle salle de sport avec énormément de possibilités. Buffet de petit déjeuner copieux et varié. Jolie vue. Comme points négatifs, bruits nocturnes venant du bar et dîner très moyen.
