"Jaguar Reef is a beautiful area and property outside of Hopkins Village. We did not stay long enough. The property, staff, restaurant and activities were coordinated and available daily. Don't forget your toothbrush or cash, no ATM or store nearby and it is an expensive to buy from the concierge to avoid a commute."

"Caribbean Shores in Hopkins, Belize I would not recommend this place. It looked and felt old and rundown. We stayed in the “Jaguar” room located near the pool. It had a musty smell and problems with the air condition. The bed was uncomfortable with pilled-up sheets. We went during the slow season so there was not much going on and hard to find staff when we were experiencing AC issues. I can only comment on the room we stayed in but would have liked to have seen other choices. There were several rolling blackouts during our stay and their backup generator was not working. We were given no information as to when these blackouts were to happen or for how long. I feel like we should have been given some kind of notice instead of just hearing about it after the fact. Other than that we did enjoy breakfast that served to us every morning. The staff was very accommodating to our scheduled events even coming in early when needed."
