Lounge Apartments

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the apartments. The room stayed in consisted of a bed, small table and chairs, sofa, small kitchenette, bathroom with a shower. Suitable for what we needed as we spent most of the time out exploring. Pros: * short walk from the main train station- easy transfer from the airport. The station has a huge supermarket on the upper floor. * close to the old town centre * towels provided * fan provided Cons: * room and general building looked a bit tired and run down; wires hanging out of walls, tape being used to stick flooring down, etc. Personally did not feel the room reflected what was advertised when booking. * Reception not available at all times and the phone number to call did not work which led us to being stood outside for 15 mins trying to get in. Breakfast is available for an extra fee but there are enough bakeries, restaurants and shops around to not need it.

The apartments are in a great location, just a few mins walk to the main square. The apartment we stayed in was very comfortable with everything you could want for a few days away. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was of good quality. There was plenty of room in the apartment and it was nice to be able to sit on the sofa after a day of sightseeing. The staff at the apartments were very accommodating and we were able to access our rooms when we arrived mid morning. We were also able to leave our luggage in a locked room on our departure day which meant we weren’t trailing a suitcase around all day. The only thing I could complain about was that the towels had seen better days but they were clean and adequate.

Pros: + Top location: very central with nearby transport, restaurants, grocery stores, shopping and walking distance to the most important attractions + Silent: silent street, window towards backyard + Very friendly receptionists and manager + We got a new apartement in the top floor on request + We got shower shampoo on request + Water quality seemed nice (no smell of chlorine as we experienced in another hotel in centrum) (we bought water bottles anyway though) + Complete kitchen and tea available Cons: - Cleaning could have been better (as we found garbage-items from earlier guests a couple of places) - No elevator - Shampoo was not included (but we got on request) - Reception not always available (not a big problem) Highly recommended.
