Sansui Niseko

Kutchan|6.59km from city center
Sansui was not yet opened when we make the decision to stay there for our honeymoon. No review was available before we made the booking for 3 nights at the Sansui’s Studio. We don’t know what exactly to expect. Thankfully, we are delightfully surprised. The hotel really delivered a wonderful experience for our first-time visiting Niseko. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the receptionists. They were polite and friendly. Our room was clean and tidy. It is not large but it fits 2 unfolded 30-inch luggages. We have wonderful Mt. Yotei view. We registered private snowboarding lessons via hotel and rent gear in in-house rental shop. I would suggest visitors head down to the rental shop on B/F to complete the fitting process for your gears before the day of lesson. The staff will store your gears in corresponding locker. You will be able to put your gears the next day in no time. The “Ski in ski out” entrance is right next to the rental shop which is very convenient. We really enjoyed the shower and private Onsen after class. Our car was parked in front of the hotel during our stay since the basement park is already full. We had to move our car two times during our stay upon hotel staff’s request due to the limited parking spot. While it was a bit inconvenient, the staff was very apologetic and understanding which I appreciated. I would suggest guests try to reserve a basement parking spot because there is only very few available. We didn’t use the bus service heading to supermarket/ restaurants this time, but we will try next time. We opt to cook for lunch and dinner since the produces and meats are such great value in Hokkaido and Sansui’s kitchen is very well equipped. Pros: Good location near beginner slope, private snowboarding lesson, private Onsen with Mt. Yotei, door camera, USB C power outlet, Germany made ROSENTHAL cups, ZOJIRUSHI kettle, well equipped kitchen with 1 pan 1 pot, dish soap, large HITACHI washer dryer with laundry detergent, Imabari towels, towel heater, ICOR skincare set, rental gears in good condition Cons: Small car park, body wash not suitable for dry/sensitive skin (probably whole Hokkaido), no body lotion I am not sure guests are able to see Mt. Yotei in every single rooms. There are no Mt. Yotei view for selection in official online reservation. I do hope Sansui could maintain the quality when we visit next time.

Niseko Prince Hotel Hirafutei

I stayed in the middle of the ski season in February 2023. Good points The exterior looks like a hot spring built during the bubble period compared to the surrounding hotels, and I thought it might be a loss at first glance. However, the interior was new and the inside of the room (although the rooms seem to be new and old) was modern and comfortable. The large communal bath is a hot spring and has an open-air bath. There were many people during the ski season, but the bathhouse was large so I was able to take a relaxing bath. The meal was a buffet, but it was relatively authentic, and the tempura and steak were delicious. It was more than expected. Bad places The correspondence of the staff (especially the receptionist) is subtle. Although it was full of many customers during the check-in time zone, the person in charge was only about 1-2 names. Moreover, there are many English / Chinese, but there are many staff in one word, and it took time to respond. Some people broke into the row and came in, but they weren't so concerned. Also, I only said that I needed guidance, and even if I asked where and when the bath was, I was only told ”it is written”. Anyway, if it is a cheap hotel overseas, I wanted to give a little more hospitality if it is a hotel of a certain rank in Japan. It's a ski / snowboard relationship, but lift tickets and rentals will be another building. It's not just this hotel, but it's a little far away, but I thought I would improve the convenience a little more. Also, this time was 1 night 2 5,000 yen with breakfast and dinner. I think it can't be helped, but I want it to be a place that Japanese people can enjoy.

Kutchan|5.13km from city center
Nestled in the middle of Grand Hirafu and Mt. Yotei (the Mt. Fuji of Hokkaido) mountains stands this quaint charming budget boutique hotel that provides both shared common rooms and private rooms to their guests. It is one of the most affordable and charming boutique budget hotel in Niseko that is conveniently located in Yamada intersection about 10 mins bus ride from JR Kutchan Station using Niseko express. The hotel also offers free pick-up from Hirafu Center or JR Kutchan station but you need to book a day in advance. The lobby is a bit spacious with the lounge and a lot of seating area greeting you. The cafe is just beside the lobby. Check-in and check-out are very fast and the staff speaks good English and provide you all the hotel rules. There is no elevator in the hotel so if you're in the 3F need to walk-up the stairs but the staff could also assist you. We booked a twin room that costs only 200 dollars overnight with a small single pane window with a view of the main road. The beds are single beds combined together but their comfortable and soft. The shower and toilet is just the right space but the water heating is very difficult to adjust specially the hot water by turning just a bit there is a huge difference. The toilet bowl's flush is also not accurately sprouting the right water in the right direction. But other than these the room is very clean and cozy for a cold winter's night. They provide slippers, mini fridge and space for your clothes/luggage and enough power outlets. The breakfast is so unique and cute - a combination of Western and Japanese dishes and their sumptuous. Salad is fresh, Rice is properly cooked and the dishes are absolutely flavourful. WiFi is a bit slow though. The best part if the location just in front of the hotel is a 7 eleven with lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Then behold the mountains behind the hotel on a clear day you will see the heavenly majestic amazingly wonderful Mt. Yotei, with its perfect pyramid cone shape they say it is the Mt. Fuji of Hokkaido. We are lucky to see it on our stay and we took hundreds of photos and videos and even walked into the back of the hotel walking along the creek and into the endless snow blanketed fields. If you look West from the hotel beholds Niseko Mt. Resort Grand Hirafu, a vast ski resort from the top of Mt. Annupuri. At the base lies the lovely Hirafu Village with many shops and restaurants along its path. There is a free shuttle bus from the hotel that goes to Hirafu Center and at the same your could also walk for about 15 mins from Hirafu Village back to the hotel. It is indeed a unique and memorable experience staying at this place and although we only stayed overnight it felt like days. One of the amazing dish we tried here is the famous Hokkaido Miso Butter Ramen, which is truly unique, refreshing and divine. Finally, if we ever go back to Niseko there is no doubt we will stay again here at My Ecolodge - a great place to be.

The 200-square-meter villa, the red house 🏠, American style, is very comfortable, heating is good, the kitchen is all available, and it is equipped with a dishwasher. It feels really good at home.

Enjoyed the excellent view of Mount Yotei from our spacious 2 bedroom apartment. It's nice and cozy with heated flooring and the kids loved the bathtub! Location wise it's just a short walk to the main street, and along the way there are restaurants available for choosing. Shoutout to staff Dylan, Georgia, Andrew, Mookda and Arthur for their warm hospitality and help during our stay! Would stay again in future 🙌

The service attitude is very very good, and the email consultation is related to the arrival in advance, and the answer is given without details. We are not going to the ski season, many services are suspended, but the clerk gave us a lot of tips The room environment is nothing to say, minimalist style, very popular with design, wood and dark blue are the main colors, warm and atmospheric, highly recommended
Niseko Inn of Youtei Raku Suisan

I stayed for the consecutive holidays in October. When you enter the hotel, you can see Mt. Yotei beautifully in front of the lounge, which is a masterpiece. It is a small inn with 18 rooms. There are two types of guest rooms, Yama no Ma and Mizu no Ma, and this time we stayed in the Mizu no Ma. There was a semi-open-air hot spring between the bedroom, living room, and tatami mats. My impression was that it was spacious and had a lot of closets. However, since it was the room on the Mt. Yotei side, which was the furthest from the main building, the view of Mt. Yotei from the room was subtle because it was a low-rise building. The open-air bath is large enough for 2 to 3 people, and it is a luxury. I was also impressed with the food this time. I ate at the iron plate counter and Japanese cuisine (Japanese cuisine counter) instead of the dining room on both days, but I was surprised that there were two counters at a ryokan of this size. The teppanyaki was delicious, but the Japanese food was very high quality and I was able to enjoy a meal that I can't easily find in the city. It is impression that quantity of breakfast is few (because there are many elderly visitors?) if we say forcibly. I have stayed at Zaborin, Park Hyatt Niseko, Ritz-Carlton Reserve Niseko and this area in the past, but this is my favorite accommodation in this area.
