Hotels near Wat Tham Kisap in Langkawi

Location wise, it’s not good nor bad. Rent a scooter to get to places as everything is really far out. The only thing we looked forward to was the flea market just downstairs which is on every Wed and Sat. Breakfast selection was poor, the same options everyday and it didn’t taste great too. Room cleanliness can be improved. Windows area are very dusty and dirty, with room service done every late afternoon. The room was fully carpeted, and they don’t even vacuum the room, so not ideal with those with small kids as we know how messy they can get with their food and snacking, which made our stay quite uncomfortable. Won’t come back, unfortunately. The only great part is the restaurant at the rooftop with the infinity pool. Super nice view of the sunset :)

Check in was smooth since we arrived quite late. We call in advance to inform our eta arrival later than expected due to flight delayed. We got bee building facing the sea. Everything inside the room is clean. Tv channel have astro. Malibest is well known for its location, in the middle busy street Chenang and its hospitality and well clean room! So far it meet my expectation. Just one thing, the hotel parking too limited. Overall, this place will be my favourite place to stay in langkawi sith affordable price.

Got a cheaper deal, last room on last block 5. I need to walk a little far from the lobby but it's less noisy at night because it is far from the cruise jetty and the bar at centre court, more privacy. The view is great, the nights full of stars in November you can bring your own telescope. The restaurant is closed after 6pm and only has one bar open. Non halal, it also served alcohol. Have a game room to play dart, pool, foosball, and watch EPL. Buffet bbq and cruise dinner available nearby the jetty. Got an infinity pool and also a large children's pool. Good for family and group stay. It has free shuttle service to Cenang Mall. I suggest spending the evening at Cenang Beach, having dinner there and taking a grab around MYR 7-10 to get back to the Resort. Nightlife is happening more at Cenang Beach, but this resort is more private. You can get a cheaper Island Hopping Package (can buy online) at 9am-1pm at the nearby jetty too. Room amenities include a safe box (mine was out of battery that time), iron and iron board, hairdryer, mini bar, electric kettle, towel, toiletries and no bathrobe.

The staff here was extremely friendly and helpful. There is a travel agency in the lobby open during work hours where you can get helpful information about tours, local beaches, restaurants etc that we found very useful. The hotel is also conveniently located next to several banks, eating places, supermarkets and Langkawi’s Kuah night market that occurs on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We had an ocean view room that gave us a view of the ocean and pool. Our queen room was spacious and so was the bathroom, which included both a shower and bathtub. The rooms were decently clean though I would say the focus was more on certain items or areas and not the whole room. Still, it wouldn’t hold us back from visiting again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This resort is quiet and perfect for those who look for a moment of peace and relax, , the big garden, the sunset view and the sound of birds are all pur moment of relaxation…no seining in the beach it’s full of mud…the swimming pool is good but it didn’t like the fact that some guests swim with their clothes even the pool rules are not allowing that. Breakfast is variant and good…stuff are nice and friendly…service is good…rooms are spacious and clean…you have nothing around but the service rice of food in pool restaurant are not expensive..you can eat a very big seafood pizza with only 37 RM.

Don't be fooled by the 4.5 rating, because I certainly was! The only thing this hotel offers is big rooms! And not much else! The location is a big disadvantage, because all the main attractions are far away. You would either have to get a taxi every time, or rent a car or scooter. Car is better because of the distances, but it's more expensive. We were very happy that the hotel offers scooter rentals. However, sometimes the scooters are all in use, so then you're stuck. We were only able to get a scooter from our second day at the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. Back to the rooms - they had white lighting, which is a bit tasteless and makes it a bit too casual. You can fix that with the bedside lamps, though. The rooms also have mini fridges, which is always a plus point. My main issue was the bathroom; the placement / height of the wash basin, with the tiny shelf directly on top of the faucet - barely giving any space in between - was VERY uncomfortable to use. There is a normal way in which things are meant to be positioned, but this was completely absurd. The toilet and shower were all *one* area, albeit big. No boundaries, no borders, no cut-off point separating the two. So when you shower, the whole bathroom floor gets wet - and stays that way. I wouldn't have minded, had they provided wipers. The toilet paper was not great quality, and its holder was worse - when trying to put the roll in, it broke in the first instance. The toilet seat was slightly flimsy. The shower pressure was good, but the water not as hot as desired - despite keeping the geyser on the whole time. There was no proper space to keep things like shampoo. Breakfast: They have the shortest breakfast timings I've seen at any hotel 😂, namely 8am-10am (two hours). It is served inside the room. They give us a choice from four local items (from which we have to choose *one* for each day), plus toast & butter/jam, plus tea or coffee. We have to make the tea/coffee ourselves with the kettle in our room. They already apply the butter/jam on the toast for you, which is good for lazy people like me. And it was quite tasty! The local items were okay; it varies from palate to palate, whether one would like them or not. I liked three out of four, though they were quite oily. All that said, it was THE most basic breakfast I've ever had at any hotel. It only works as a preventive measure from going crazy with hunger right when you get up in the morning 😂 Speaking of food - because of the location of the place, there are no restaurants you can get to by foot (as far as I know), and even GrabFood Delivery had very limited options (we survived on ordering McDonalds for lunch). One good thing was that, unlike other hotels, there was a water dispenser in the lobby, free to use whenever we wanted. Hence, we never ran out of water. The hotel is located in a conveninet location, within walking distance to the Lagenda park and Eagle square-- which are a must see. I walked there twice in about 15- 20 minutes; it would cost about 10 RM by Grab taxi. Some rooms have a good view of the Maha tower and the bay --the tower lights up at night and is really beautiful. The bed is quite comfortable and the WIFI is very strong . The shower and hot water runs alright . The staff, Dan, was very helpful and helped me to complete my itinerary . I was travelling alone, but there were families there as well . It is budget friendly but the amenties exceeded my expectations. Of course it is not luxurious, but the rooms are clean. I enjoyed my stay.

The hotel’s facilities and surrounding is great. They provided bean bags and chairs for guests to enjoy sunset view at the room balcony while facing seaview. I booked garden view room but got upgraded to seaview room. The pool area is great. The breakfast buffet was very nice and variety type of food. The location is at Pantai Tengah which is a quiet area, and if want to go to beach, you have to walk on the opposite road side. Overall, we’re satisfied with our stay here.

stayed in deluxed double room. bilik indah khabar dari rupa. kecik betoll. pakai camera 0.5 kot time photoshoot. pastu punya la kedekut berus gigi pun tak dapat apatah lagi ubat gigi. kalau nak kena +rm4. aku duduk oyo rm40 pun dapat. dah la ada anak lipas aku jumpa kat bantal. habuk pun banyak. terbatuk mat haha. kebersihan tandas 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 kat shower ada lumut.

The best way to describe this hotel is, a 3-star hotel with a 4-5 star resort personality and quality :) While searching online prior to booking, I found that it is 3-star and boutique level (I have learned in the past during my few stays in LGK, 3-star on actual site is often actually 2-star and less) which admittedly, already sealed my expectations but I was banking on it being revamped and newly launched few months ago so worth a check-out. While the front facade is newly painted and looks like a shop lot converted hotel, my oh my, the moment you enter the Reception area, everything is so well designed and nowhere near its first impression - and the Bayou was definitely being sneaky on me with its amazing pool backyard view! Room was great and as aesthetically pleasing as advertised, breakfast was a good spread and staff was superbly friendly. It felt like we were in a resort hotel in spite of its location. Another thing that I enjoy here is the openness of the Lobby area with ample seating areas, separated by flexible sliding glass doors which made the area more spacious than it actually is - the design is very clever. This wild card was definitely worth it!
