Best Hotels in Lankanfushi

This was a surprise trip for my husband's 50th birthday and we were travelling with my Son Esa aged 8. Once we got to our resort we were greeted and welcomed by Amine and the team. Amine was very welcoming and took us on a buggy around the resort to show us around and escort us to our room. Amine went out his way daily to stay in touch via WhatsApp and kept us updated about all the activities taking place daily. Our room was amazing and we had been upgraded to a beach pool villa:-). The bed was decorated and a welcome card/fruits were placed in our room. The boy's were so excited regarding the private pool. Our resort was amazing and had alot to offer. This resort in particular had a kids club hence why I chose this resort. Guest Relations were amazing and accommodating . Grace also from Guest Relations was very welcoming and came to see us. The restaurant /food was pretty good and had lots of choice. Esa being a child wanted his normal chips/burger or nuggets and was offered this separately which was great. All the restaurant staff was amazing especially Shafiq, Shauka and the team. They all went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and happy. Shafiq had his way of taking care of families and even bringing the yummy special desserts to our table. He would always accommodate us to the best table/view too. Shauka was the head operations manager for all the restaurants and I promise you he was always hands on and ready to serve you in whatever you wanted to eat. He would always go out his way for us especially for my son Esa. Even on the last morning we was leaving he made Esa his favourite waffles :-). Our last dinner was arranged privately by Mr Ejaz (Hotel manager) and Shauka so we can celebrate my husband's 50th. A beautiful table was set on the stilts restaurant with a cake and Shauka personally came to serve us with all the different foods we wanted to eat:-). Absolutely amazing he was. Esa really misses everyone especially Shauka. We had an amazing stay and experience at Villa Nautica. We have already said that we will surely be coming back again and recommending to our family/friends. Small comment regarding the ice cream served at meal times in the restaurant- it was not nice/very poor quality. It was like some powdered ice cream mixed.

Set in Himmafushi, 300 metres from Himmafushi Beach, Molar Wave offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. The accommodation features a shared kitchen, room service and currency exchange for guests. The hotel will provide guests with air-conditioned rooms offering a desk, a coffee machine, a fridge, a microwave, a safety deposit box, a flat-screen TV, a terrace and a private bathroom with a bath. At Molar Wave all rooms come with bed linen and towels. The reception at the accommodation can provide tips on the area.

Jail Break Surf Inn offers guests access to boat transfers to surf breaks, house reef, and a restaurant. Free WiFi is provided in its air-conditioned rooms. Located in Himmafushi, it is 15 km from Malé Airport. Boat transfers to surf spots are offered. Each room features a desk and private bathroom with shower and toilet. Linen and towels are provided. Bicycles are available at an additional charge to explore the local island of Himmafushi, which is also known to be a surfing spot. Other facilities include a shared lounge, a fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor area to relax . Guests can also try fishing and diving during their stay.

Stayed beginning of June 2023. Place is new, clean and staffs are all wonderful. We were two surfer girls from US and happy we chose this place. Pros: You ARE on the island where you can walk to ‘Jail Break’ Staffs can give you a ride if they have time. (Check the tide since entry to this point is tricky with corals. You might consider bringing booties). We chose the smallest room with two beds to share our luggages made it little hard to walk around but room has small fridge, bathroom with shower and rack to hang staff. Bikini beach, where you are allowed to expose your skin, is just a steps away if you want to chill. Hotel staffs will go and beyond to help arrange the boat to surf spots and other activities. Oevaru, even though this restaurant is NOT part of the hotel, it’s right next door. FBH has just opened it’s own restaurant for hotel guest around the corner where we had a nice breakfast. Wifi worked good throughout our stay. This is NOT a resort you think of Maldive. This is the ‘Guest House’ so don’t expect breakfast buffets or anything fancy. They’ll provide basic needs. They may fix your sheets but they won’t be washed unless you ask for it. Cons: (Place is new and they are working on improving it for surfers.) They don’t really have a surfboard rack outside. You have to leave your board at lobby or bring up to your room in small stairs. Hot water shower may take 10-15min of running water and not much pressure(local small island with minimal infrastructure). Place has a common area to sit down/eat on 4th floor but it’s too hot to hang out during the summer time. Himmafushi island has no resort, Only three restaurants on the island that were open when we were there had same menus and it’s hard to find vegetables/fruits since they must import food from somewhere. You are expected to cover your skin and no alcohol are allowed on this island. If you want those western cultures you may find to stay in ‘Resort’ or have a day trip to ‘Resort’.

We stayed on this beautiful island at the end of May into the beginning of June for a very special holiday with family. From start to finish our holiday was just incredible. The food was amazing, there was always a huge variety of different food and great curries! The staff can’t do enough for you and are so welcoming and kind. We started off the holiday in a beach bungalow which was beautiful, less than 10 steps away from the beautiful lagoon. We decided to upgrade to a water suite for the last 4 nights of the trip. The water suites are absolutely stunning, our 2 children loved having their beds right by the glass floor where they often saw sharks, sting rays and a multitude of fish swim by! There is nothing to fault at Cinnamon Dhonveli, the kindness and hospitality from the staff is second to none - special thanks to our friend Akila ( aka Bruno ) who was just wonderful and made the greatest drinks for us and our children, all the staff in the sunset bar Ester, Malinda, Lahir. Our waiters Shamal in the Koimala restaurant and the lovely Shuaan at the Rehendhi restaurant. The wonderful chefs including Shelley who our children absolutely loved. The lovely salad lady Angelie who always had the loveliest smile, Sataar for his amazing flower garlands and for making our sun beds look so special! And last but not least thank you to the GM Sanjeeva for his kindness and incredible hospitality we hope to visit again soon!

We would like to thank Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa for our amazing stay. We stayed a week at this resort and everything was perfect. Would like to say a BIG thank you to Yerlan and amazing Chef, who always came out to check if everything was great, also to Chamara, Dinendra, DJ-Yulia (she is perfect DJ). Also Anastasia a girl who looked after us Breakfast and Dinner Time. Prafula at the Beach restaurants - your salads and Burgers were the best. We could write a very long review, but in one word everything was SUPER good. Thank you all.

Overall higher than expected 👍 [Facilities] 25-minute speedboat ride to Xiao Siji; we stayed two nights at Sunrise Beach and Sunrise in the Water House. It is more convenient to go to the Beach House for breakfast, kid club and public swimming pool. To get in and out of the water house, you need to call a battery car (5 minutes to arrive). The water house can go directly to the sea for snorkeling. The water is very shallow and safe. My 6-year-old boy is also very happy to participate. In addition, the water house SPA is very recommended, take a boat to another island, listen to the sound of the waves and music... great! [Sanitation] There will be cleaning and bed-opening in the morning and evening. Towels, bath towels, drinking water, minibars and other facilities are complete and clean, which is the standard of a five-star hotel. [Environment] This island is not big, it belongs to the style of leisure vacation, not luxury. Because of the epidemic, there are not many guests. There are basically no guests from the mainland. Diving is not the best, but the surfing is good. I also saw dolphins (black) on the first day, but the silver dolphins seen in New Zealand are still beautiful. [Service] Four Seasons has always provided considerate, meticulous and warm service. The manager of the lobby, guest rooms and restaurant can call out our names, give my child a lot of special care, and give him some small gifts. Every waiter works with a smile👍 By the way, we are on our 15th anniversary, and the hotel also sent champagne, cakes, etc. All in all, it is the signature service of Four Seasons!

Excellent guidance and service from the staff team, beautiful resort island, excellent maintenance of rooms, swimming pool, restaurant, beach, bars. Just a bit of a shame about expensive excursions and water sports activities, they can certainly be half the price. All in all, we enjoyed a stay on a beautiful resort island, enjoyed our ”own” house reef (fish and baby sharks you see every day), enjoyed sunrises and sunsets every day. I would like to share your experience of visiting this hotel. Once we arrived in Maldives, our luggage was lost, the hotel owners made their best efforts and found our luggage. The hotel is very cozy, very delicious food, a chic beach on which baggage is taken. Better attitude to the visitor than anywhere, help everything and perform any of your capriz. Every few days have arranged a barbecue, went fishing. It was free. It was great, you feel very comfortable and good. I want to thank the hotel owners again for all they have done for us . You are wonderful people. I would like to share my experience of visiting this hotel. As soon as we arrived in the Maldives, our luggage was lost, the owners of the hotel made every effort and found our luggage. The hotel is very cozy, very tasty food, a gorgeous beach, where they carry bugs. The best attitude to the visitor than anywhere else, they help in everything and fulfill your every whim. Every few days they had a barbecue, went fishing. It was free. It was very cool, you feel very comfortable and good. Once again I want to thank the owners of the hotel for everything they did for us. You are wonderful people.
