I emphasize that he touched us on the third floor, so we didn't have to climb many stairs (there is no lift, of course). But I saw guest comments that he touched them on a room on the sixth floor. If you can only stay **** in this place, let's be 1 or 2 nights as much.

This hostel is operated like a 2-star hotel, providing cozy room with private bathroom and comfortable bed. The business must've undergone major renovation in recent years as everything looks new, practical and comfortable. It is also conveniently located close to the Rossio Metro station and all attractions including Castelo de S. Jorge Castle, the Lisbon Cathedral and Praça do Comércio.

I stayed four days in the WOT hostel in Lisbon, what means three nights. The hostel in in a great neighborhood, fun places around all the time, service is fun, they are 7/24 there to help you with all kind of informations about the city. Every night they had an activity (drink nights and even a movie night) for the early hours, there is this cool guy organizing party-visiting together for very reasonable prices, the beer is cheep, the common area is just perfect for chilling and to make new friendships very easily. If i plan my trip again to Lisbon (and i will, because that's one of the must fun cities I've ever been in my life), i'm sure i will book in WOT again. (I got they recyclable cup for memory.:))

This is our second time at Rossio Hostel - we thought it the best hostel we'd ever stayed at in 2019, and now it is even better. Not enough words to tell you everything great about it - though if we boil it down to two words it would be THE PEOPLE who work there are what makes it amazing. Sunday Fado night is not to be missed - when we were there Rossio brought in Jessica Fernandez, who is an amazing singer and she was backed by two highly skilled guitar players - one on classical guitar and one on the Portuguese guitar. Pizza night on Wednesday also included a cover band that was a lot of fun. Aside from all this Rossio Hostel is in a fantastic old building from the late 1700s/early 1800s (post-earthquake) - lots of character. Rossio sits right on Rossio Square - a very central part of Lisbon with the metro and trains right outside your doot. Now, as to what makes Rossio Hostel really stand out - well, that is the people. A big thank you, and kudos, to the staff at Rossio: Madalena, Leavis (hope I'm spelling your nake right my friend), Rita, Paula, Mackayla (also hoping I get your name right), Victoria and especially Elsa who cooked up amazing scrambled eggs and crepes Monday to Friday. I didn't catch the name of the weekend cook - also a big thank you to you and the young lady helping you on the weekend. There are other staff that I didn't have a chance to get their names. The staff at Rossio Hostel make you feel like you are at home - my partner and I also felt like we were part of their family for the six days we were there. The big downside to Rossio Hostel is when you have to leave - the staff make it really hard to leave, because they make you feel so welcome and at home. We've been there twice and we will absolutely be back. If there were a way to give a rating higher than 10 we would certainly do it. Thanks again to everyone at Rossio Hostel for making our trip so special and memorable. I appreciated how this hotel was able to accommodate me on short notice after the original hotel I had booked with canceled my reservation. The rate was reasonable and it was located where I needed to be. The Grand Lisboa Hotel is part of a chain of VIP hotels in Lisbon. It was quite clean but slightly run down. The room was basic and since I just needed to sleep and shower, it was fine. All the money has been put into the bathroom with modern fixtures. The bathtub is high and slippery. There was no mat to prevent falling and stepping out of the tub felt a bit precarious. The rest of the room was spare. The bed was quite firm. A table and chair in the room had some sort of dried spill on them. Bottled water was complimentary. I did not make use of the bar or restaurant facilities whilst there. To change money, on goes to a sister hotel, the VIP Zurich-walking distance-and receives a poor exchange rate. Live and learn. The service, overall, is helpful. I was given suggestions, directions, maps, etc. All the things one expects from those in the hospitality business happened. No complaints, there.

We got a private room there cause we wanted our own space. Looked decent in the photos. When we arrived the room was quite dirty. Dirt on the walls, toothpaste around the sink and the towels we got had brown stains in it. We did not experience the privateness of our room because the bedroom door has a 2cm gap underneath it so all the stamps on the wooden floor and all the people coming and going (which was alot) along with the maintenace room next door felt like they were in our room. Alot of other smaller things like malfunction noises in the ventilation and very poor quality in the bed. “Breakfast included” was white bread, jam and coffee. BIGGEST PROBLEM is that the bathroom has alot of black mold in it. For example all around the shower and the shower glass and around the sink. After two nights we contacted the staff and told them about all these things listed above and we wanted to move out of that room and go somewhere else. So they told us that I had to send an email which would be forwarded to their supervisor, which I did. I checked upon them multiple times with calls, emails and direct conversation. Their supervisor, who was not there, would contact me which he never did. I am well aware this is not a 5 star accomodation but this is not ok in any accomodation that you pay for. I’ve been all around the world staying in allkinds of accomodations but this was my worst experience. Not only because of the room situation but because of the staffmembers who didnt even try to make things better by for example clean the room, offer us new towels offer us new bedroom. We paid 156€/night there. When the client points out things that are poor and could easily be fixed, just fix it and at least try to make them happy. WOT Lisbon Patio … Do better !

It was a good hotel to choose if I visit Lisbon again!! I booked a double room, but since I was visiting with a friend, I asked for a twin bed if possible, and I was really grateful for the change. First of all, the location is really good. I came in in the middle, put my luggage, charged my phone, and went out! The breakfast was varied and very tasty. The people who work are also kind, so I was grateful that they listened to my requests. The only regret is that they didn't change the towels every day, and they hung up the towels they used. Also, the floor of the room is not clean like Europe, where people wear shoes inside. However, there were no separate disposable slippers. Next time I go, I think I'll bring slippers.

A great hotel at a good location. There are numerous restaurants around and close to Augusta shopping street. It is less than 10 minutes' walk from the subway station. The breakfast is rich. The hotel’s conference hall has a classic European style.

AC not working properly, no food in room, no mini bar, uncomfortable, old property needind minor renovation, many things not working such as shower head, sink not draining enough, sometimes not cleaned well. ceiling damage and micro pieces falling in bathroom AC filter dirty, walls in cupboard, could hear the couple next door having sex every time. head manager of the hotel not listening and almost rude. asked him to fix the VMC, there was too much humidity to which he replied that he is not god. I told him that if he cannot make a VMC changed I do not know how he is a manager. no discount nothing for the hassle it has been there. changed room once to have even more issues. did not seem double windowed either we could hear the street. barman when I asked him what he has aside of drinks, his reply was so low lever: What do you think I can have? it is a bar. when I explained that he might have offered snacks or small food, he did not understand. it is a very low level hotel for a high price. I will never recommend that place and I will even spend some time to damage their online reputation.
