Golden Crown China Hotel
4.2/53306 Reviews
Very good location. After getting tired of our delayed flights we arrived at Macau Airport and just crossed the road you’ll arrive at the hotel. Just opposite the airport. 1 minute walk. Our room got airport view so it was a free entertainment for the kids. Shuttle bus also available to The Venetian etc. To go ferry terminal to Hong Kong we took MRT and it is only 1 station away from the hotel. Overall we had a great time here for our short trip to Macau.
Pousada de Coloane Boutique Hotel
4.3/5375 Reviews
The hotel is clean and beautifully decorated, right beside Cheoc Van Beach in a quiet part of town. Our room was spacious and though the sea view was obstructed by trees, the sound of the waves and birds singing was relaxing enough. The restaurant fare is delicious and the service was excellent. There are beautiful trails within walking distance and a short bus ride away. Coloane Village is also nearby where Lord Stow's bakery offers the best Portuguese egg tarts in town.
Riviera Hotel Macau
4.4/54196 Reviews
The concierge was really nice and gave me a free upgrade to a room with a balcony. What a spectacular view of Macau 😍 because I could see Macau tower. I also dropped my powerbank in between the furniture and I asked help, the staff immediately came to my room to assist. I also got on the free shuttle to the city centre or ferry terminal. It's also very clean and have toiletries and water. Will want to stay again! 😁
The Parisian Macao
4.7/518914 Reviews
It was an absolutely amazing stay and an experience. Parisian Hotel has everything and it has such an incredible interior that looks surreal! Just entering the receptions felt like royalty. Not to mention the Venetian that is connected to it. Everything was beautiful! We booked for only one night. We wanted to extend for another night but unfortunately, everything is fully booked and the prices had doubled. However, it was still a nice stay. It is located in the new district and around it was all the fancy and majestic hotels. We had 30% off for the 3D space team Lab which was a great experience. I highly recommend that one. One of a kind! We love the swimming pool and the spacious bathroom. It was also easy to get a taxi just in front of the hotel. We will definitely choose this hotel again if we ever go back to Macao. Downside: No convenience stores nearby. Could get crowded on holiday seasons.
Andaz Macau
4.7/54331 Reviews
I stayed at Andaz Macau for 3 nights from 16-19 Dec’24 and this is my second time staying in the same property within a year. Andaz Macau has never fails to amaze me and it gives me the assurance that the staff will always look after me. My room is spotless and comfortable! Wayne from Front Desk did the check-out for me in May 2024 and this time I bumped into him doing the check-in for me. As pleasant as always, my check-in process was smooth. And he also assigned a nice room for me. Thanks Wayne. I do notice that the Concierge counter that’s nearest to the lift landing area at Level 6 always gives people the wrong impression that that’s the check-in counter. That poor girl had to keep on directing the guests to reception counter when they approached her which I find it unnecessary. Not sure of something could be done to make her life easier lol!! Bellman are very helpful and one of them helped me getting a Radio Taxi to Flower City. That was around 11pm plus on 17 Dec…sorry that I forgot to ask for his name. I think he’s a Filipino and he gave me a “taxi card”. So thank you for your help. During my stay, Ivy, Yumi and Tania have been providing turn down service for me. Everytime I’ll receive a handwritten note with little gifts to pamper myself. And I also got a little soft toy from Tania! How sweet! Not to forget the Room Attendants - Apple and Icy whom tirelessly cleaned my room. Though I don’t get to see them, but I still make an effort to find out who cleaned my room so that I can thank them here and knowing that their efforts are being appreciated. I always believe working in Housekeeping is tough. But because of your hard work, I get to stay in a very comfortable room. I hope I didn’t miss out any names here. So thank you all. Last but not least… I WILL BE BACK!!!

Macau Transportation

Macau International Airport is the primary airport in Macau. Macau offers a well-integrated public transportation system, including the Light Rapid Transit (LRT), buses, taxis, and ferries.

Macau Light Rapid Transit (LRT)

The Macau LRT currently operates the Taipa Line, covering key areas from Ocean Gardens to Taipa Ferry Terminal. Operating hours are from 6:30 AM to 11:15 PM on weekdays and until 11:59 PM on weekends. Ticket prices range from MOP 6 to 10 ($0.75-$1.25) based on the distance traveled. The LRT is a fast, eco-friendly option, taking approximately 27 minutes end-to-end with trains running every 7.5-10 minutes. Despite its efficiency, it is limited to one line, which can be crowded during peak hours.

Buses

Macau's buses serve all districts, including Taipa, Coloane, and the Macau Peninsula, operating from 5:45 AM to 12:30 AM. The flat fare is MOP 6 ($0.75), or MOP 3 ($0.37) with a Macau Pass. Travel times vary depending on the route and traffic, typically taking 10-60 minutes. Buses run every 5-20 minutes, providing extensive coverage and affordability. However, they can be slower due to traffic, and routes may be confusing for tourists.

Taxis

Taxis in Macau are available citywide 24 hours a day. The base fare is MOP 19 for the first 1.6 km, then MOP 2 for each additional 240 meters ($2.36, $0.25). Travel duration depends on traffic, with taxis available on-demand. Taxis offer convenient door-to-door service but are more expensive compared to public transport and can be affected by traffic delays.

Bike-Sharing

Bike rentals are available in Taipa and Coloane, providing an eco-friendly and convenient way to explore these areas. While there are some dedicated bike lanes, most areas do not have them, so cyclists need to be mindful of cars. Bike-sharing is weather dependent and limited to certain areas.

Ferry

Ferries connect Macau to Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Zhuhai, operating 24 hours a day with varying schedules. Ticket prices range from HKD 132 to 211 ($16.87-$26.95), and the journey takes about 60-75 minutes. Ferries run every 15-30 minutes, offering a fast and scenic route. However, they are more expensive and can be affected by weather conditions.

Free Shuttle Buses

Many casinos and hotels provide free shuttle buses linking major transport hubs such as ferry terminals, the airport, and border-crossing points with their establishments. These shuttles operate from around 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM with varying frequencies, typically every 15-30 minutes. They are free and convenient for tourists, although they are limited to specific hotels and casinos.
