H10 Puerta de Alcalá

We stayed at the H10 Hotel Puerta de Alcalá at the end of May and middle of June. The hotel was very comfortable and well located. We particularly enjoyed the rooftop deck with great views of Madrid and Retiro Park. The rooms were very comfortable, quiet, and clean. On a day trip I mistakenly left my camera bag in a taxi. On my return to the hotel later that day, Juan C. at reception helped me begin communications with the taxi company to try to locate the camera bag. For the next few weeks after I had returned home to Canada, Juan diligently followed up and coordinated with the taxi company, organized payment for retrieval of the camera bag then prepared it for shipment to my home in Canada. He went above and beyond the usual service expected at a hotel and I wanted to point out his excellent assistance. Robert S.

This is a great hotel. Beautiful decor, very kind, welcoming, and efficient front desk folks, nicely decorated, quiet, and comfortable room. We arrived late at night after a long day of travel, and were really happy to be treated so well by the front desk people. It was close to midnight and we were starving, so they took our bags to our room and ushered us into the bar/lounge where an attentive young man brought us a great salad (very fresh, perfectly dressed and seasoned) and a grilled cheese/turkey sandwich, which was really good. You can tell a lot about a place by the salad, and after one bite we knew we were going to be fine. The neighborhood is one of the best in Madrid — wide beautiful tree lined boulevards mixed with cozy smaller streets, tons of shops and stores, good restaurants are plentiful, and the buildings are all well maintained and charming. 20-30 min walk to just about everything you’d want to do in Madrid.

Good impression in general but we believe that for some details the 4 stars are somewhat loose. As positive points we highlight the location, the comfort of the beds and the treatment of the staff. Correct room size. What we did not like: some points in the rooms with some dust, a somewhat dirty courtesy jug to heat water, when we arrived to take a shower the hot water did not come out but we notified them and they solved it the next morning.

I was in Madrid for business for 5 days and I stayed in this nice hotel, which is in a great location and classy city area for restaurants, caffès, bars and shopping. The hotel is nice and my room was very comfortable. Most of all the NH Lagasca Staff was very kind, helpful and very efficient on all fronts. I had a very good ”customer experience”! I will definitely be going back there soon.

This was a great hotel, clean with a wonderful breakfast and the staff was very helpful. I would definitely recommend a stay here. There are also great restaurants (Ten con Ten) and bars (Carmenbar) nearby a block or two away as well as Mercado de La Paz and the famous Casa Dani for tortilla española.
