"This hotel is really old and dingy. The carpets in the hallways are worn and dirty, and the shower trays in the bathroom have mold, clearly not having been maintained in years. The plastic flowers and plants in vases in the common bathrooms and on the breakfast tables just add to the dated, old-fashioned, and grimy feel. It's like a hotel from the 70s that claims to be renovated, but don't believe it. It's absolutely not worth the price. There's a shabby bar at the entrance where they charged me 9.35 euros for a beer! And a sandwich and grilled chicken breast cost 50.19 euros! I feel completely ripped off and deceived. I highly recommend not booking this place; there are far better options in Madrid at this price point!"

"Highly recommended! The Senator Barajas Hotel location is ideal—close to the airport, which was a huge plus for me, and with a nearby metro station, getting to the center of Madrid was quick and hassle-free. The rooms are very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. A big plus is the swimming pool available to guests, which is fantastic for relaxing and cooling off on hot days. Special mention goes to the delicious, varied breakfast made with fresh ingredients. I definitely recommend this place!"

It's a shame that everything has to be ordered via a QR code; it took a long time to get drinks delivered to the rooftop. The room is nice and comfortable, with one exception: the pillows on the bed are uncomfortable to sleep on."

"This hotel is incredibly convenient; you can walk to all the nearby attractions. The decor has a theatrical vibe, with red lights illuminating the hallways when there's a show in the evenings, and plenty of playbills on the walls—definitely catch a performance if you can! The room was a bit small but very clean. There's also a great coffee shop just around the corner downstairs. Plus, the rooftop bar with a pool is excellent. Highly recommended!"

"Hotel Catalonia Plaza España cancelled our booking. We had booked a family room for 2 adults and two young children in early February. The week before our stay we received an email informing us they had to cancel our reservation. They didn’t provide any explanation. We had booked the room using our Catalonia Rewards Membership which we will cancel as well after this awful experience. Our recommendation is to look for a different hotel brand. Catalonia Hotels were not reliable."
