Nice enough people but accomodation was of a very low standard and needed a steam clean as the whole place had very strong food odours. We didn’t end up staying, it was that bad.

房間很舊，設施也挺舊的，房間隔音不太好，衞生間的衞生一般，有廚房可以簡單做飯但設施比較簡陋，laundry是收費。地理位置很好，前台服務態度也非常不錯。

The rooms have good mattress and soft pillows .The facillities are kept to a high standard The staff are helpful and respectful and provide a safe clean and fun place to stay. There are pieces of artworks on display. Fun place to meet others from all over the world. Priced just right. Clean and tidy.

Great location. Friendly staff. Good facilites to assist use of kitchen, lounge and grounds. Nearby to shopping, city centre transport and Pukekura Park. Local knowledge and advice, maps, tourist brochures and options for transport to outdoor activities. Airport shuttle.

I would recommend Ducks and Drakes to anyone.. the hospitality from the managers and staff was soo inviting .. very close to all shops Supermarkets fast food outlets etc … Rooms very clean and tidy made it feel it was home away from home thank you for your hospitality

What a great find. Arrived early, no problem. Room was ready. Very clean and tidy. Great facilities with everything you could want at a hostel. Friendly hosts. Only a short walk into the CBD or up the the park. On street parking but that's not a problem. Would be more than happy to stay again

We stayed at Ducks & Drakes as we had a wedding in New Plymouth. We decided to get the airport shuttle pick up and was so happy we did because it was a seamless transition from the plane to the van. We also got to meet Brett who was hilarious and played good music! He upgraded us to the 1 bedroom which was nice. We had our own bathroom and were provided towels, shampoo and conditioner. The room also came with a kitchenette and complimentary tea and coffee. The place was cozy and clean and we had a tv which was nice. Everyone we met there was lovely and the place itself had a nice vibe. Packing up was easy too as we just had to drop our keys off into a box at the front office. Definitely would recommend this place to stay. Thank you again from Zana, Josh & Danny. :)
