Nice enough people but accomodation was of a very low standard and needed a steam clean as the whole place had very strong food odours. We didn’t end up staying, it was that bad.

Do not stay here! I spent five minutes waiting in the foyer listening to a conversation between staff swearing and speaking of males luring women off for a walk with a drink (implying that something then happens to the women). The owner then charged me as I left the motel as I'm not staying there with my kids. He is refusing to return my money and I didn't stay even stay!

How a hostel should be! Evrything one need and a clean cosy vibe! Good kitchen. Good bathroom. Good laundry room. Nice eatingareaa. Good loction and friendly staff! Felt ”homey” but not like you were living in somebodys home. A Nice little garden. A shame we didnt stay longer!

The rooms have good mattress and soft pillows .The facillities are kept to a high standard The staff are helpful and respectful and provide a safe clean and fun place to stay. There are pieces of artworks on display. Fun place to meet others from all over the world. Priced just right. Clean and tidy.

Great location. Friendly staff. Good facilites to assist use of kitchen, lounge and grounds. Nearby to shopping, city centre transport and Pukekura Park. Local knowledge and advice, maps, tourist brochures and options for transport to outdoor activities. Airport shuttle.

I would recommend Ducks and Drakes to anyone.. the hospitality from the managers and staff was soo inviting .. very close to all shops Supermarkets fast food outlets etc … Rooms very clean and tidy made it feel it was home away from home thank you for your hospitality
