"This is the only hidden gem guesthouse/hotel during my Yunnan trip that I want to give a five-star review to. I absolutely loved it! Even in the off-season, the Duoyishu Rice Terraces in Yuanyang are worth visiting, and seeing the vibrant green fields stretching across the mountains is even more breathtaking! From the owner, the friendly male and female front desk staff, to the drivers of the small shuttle cars, the entire team was exceptionally kind and helpful. We stayed in a twin room, and when I walked in and saw the view outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, I couldn't help but exclaim – it's absolutely stunning, giving off serious 'Little Switzerland' vibes! The beauty is so raw and authentic, it's straight out of a picture. The winding mountain road, with its 18 turns, was definitely worth the journey! Their homemade dinner was incredibly delicious! And the breakfast, a rice noodle set, was equally tasty, no need to say more. We stayed for two nights and had dinner here both times. You absolutely *must* try the dipped chicken (zhan shui ji); the free-range chicken from the mountains had such a rich, authentic chicken flavor. It's been ages since I've had such fragrant local chicken. The owner doesn't even promote this small kitchen much; they're truly dedicated to doing things well! **Facilities:** It just opened, so the facilities are brand new, with many thoughtful little touches. The separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom are excellent. It's a bit cooler in the mountains than in the county town, so the room was equipped with an electric blanket, which warmed the bed up quickly. Even the air conditioner vents had baffles. **Hygiene:** Very clean. **Environment:** The environment is simply stunning. You can lie in the guesthouse and gaze at the beautiful rice terraces. The mountain weather changes constantly – one moment it's foggy, the next it's clear and sunny. Every moment offers a different view. There's a private observation deck on the rooftop, so convenient – you don't even need to leave to enjoy the best viewing angles. **Transportation:** Self-driving is recommended. Their dedicated parking lot is behind the guesthouse. After parking, a shuttle car will pick you up and drop you off. The driver is a cheerful guy and an excellent driver. Bouncing along the mountain slopes in the small car, with the wind blowing, and seeing cattle and free-range chickens along the way, was really interesting. If you have enough time, you can visit the characteristic markets of the Hani and Yi ethnic groups nearby. They aren't open every day, so you can ask the hotel. This time, we happened to catch the market in Xinjie, which was quite interesting. Visiting Azheke Village is also very convenient, about a 10-minute drive. If you have ample time, you can stay a few extra nights to enjoy the tranquility of the mountains. With good food, drinks, scenery, and music, it's incredibly healing. I look forward to visiting again in a different season."

"This hotel is in a great location. You can watch the sunset from the hotel if you don't want to go to the viewing platform. We stayed in branch 1, and branches 2 and 3 have better locations. If you come to Yuanyang Rice Terraces, you must see whether the Tiangong is beautiful or not. It's only a 20-minute walk to the cliff terrace viewing platform. If you drive, parking is right at the door, and there's food across the street. Overall, it's great!"

"Stay at Rice Field Ideal Store No. 2, which is located right in the center of the blue terraced fields, and there is no other hotel like it. The guest room windows and the restaurant face the blue rice fields. The store is closely connected to the terraced fields, and the path inside the store leads directly to the rice fields. The owner has also carefully planted rapeseed flowers in the courtyard. The foreground is golden and the distant view is the blue terraces that reflect the blue sky. It is really beautiful. The beautiful scenery belongs to the guests staying in the hotel. Every morning, the bustling tourists will take pictures through the fence. Some unruly people will try to sneak over to take a few pictures. The location and scenery of the courtyard are really great. The room hygiene and facilities in the Blue Terraces area are already the ceiling. The two Hani female shop owners are beautiful and enthusiastic. The male shop owner is patient and thoughtful. He recommended a room with a good view and showed us several rooms for comparison. He ran around and was very patient. In addition, his house has convenient parking and a cute dog. It is a particularly good stay experience. Highly recommended"

"The room was very clean and comfortable; it's a new hotel and even had an electric toilet. The view from the window was stunning; you could see the sunrise from the hotel balcony. It was incredibly good value for money, and we decided to extend our stay that day. The owners were very kind. They provided fruit at the front desk, including oranges, pomegranates, guavas, and walnuts, and even gave us some local red rice as a parting gift. Breakfast was also delicious—rice noodles and fried eggs—quite good. There aren't many breakfast shops around here, so you definitely have to eat at the hotel."

"I highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone planning a trip to the Yuanyang Rice Terraces. First, the owners are incredibly warm and hospitable. We arrived late, past lunchtime, and the owner's wife kept calling around until she finally found a friend's house where she cooked red rice for us—a dish we'd never seen before. Because Pugao Old Village retains its original character, cars can't enter the village, and the owner's wife insisted on carrying our luggage—how could we ask a young girl to do that? Besides, their toiletries are all disposable, so you basically don't need to bring anything yourself. They even cooked rice for us for free for dinner, refusing to accept any payment. Second, the location is fantastic, right next to the rice paddies. Pictures 1-2 were taken through the room window, and the third was taken from the rooftop. They also provide ethnic costumes for guests, making for excellent photos. Furthermore, the guesthouse was recently renovated, and the young owners have a very forward-thinking business sense. The restaurant and reception area are simply and brightly decorated with unique artwork. The rooms are clean and hygienic. While there are many mosquitoes in the Yuanyang Rice Terraces area, we didn't find any at their guesthouse. In short, I had no complaints about the place I stayed during my one-day stay, and I would recommend it."

"This is the third time I have come to Yuanyang County. The second time I chose to stay at this hotel. The hotel is very new and clean, and the facilities are very complete. It is also very convenient to go around. The service is also warm."

"The location is right next to the ancient village of Azheke, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular views of the terraced fields. We arrived that afternoon and immediately went to explore the village until sunset. Then we walked back to the guesthouse in about five or six minutes. A small incident occurred. After returning to the guesthouse, my five-year-old wanted a bath, so I filled the tub halfway with warm water. However, less than ten minutes later, she complained of chest pain and shortness of breath. Suddenly, her face turned very pale. I suspect that the altitude sickness from walking at 1900 meters and then taking a bath caused her to experience altitude sickness. The guesthouse owner quickly took us to a clinic. Fortunately, she recovered on the way and was fine. We are so grateful to the guesthouse owner; their kindness and generosity are truly admirable! 👍"

"The location of the B&B is easy to find. It is very close to the Duoyishu Observation Deck, only a three-minute walk away. The room is fully equipped, with plenty of hot water and strong water pressure. The air conditioner heats up quickly, and the bedding is very comfortable. I slept very well.
