Hotels in Wanda Plaza/Fengze Square, Quanzhou

This is a fuss-free boutique hotel with good breakfast at the older district of the city, which is a good location as it's at 2+km radius to most attractions and museums. The staff were friendly and also gave good info and advice. Besides, the hotel gift shop sold a variety of good local stuff very reasonable prices. HOWEVER, I'll most certainly NOT book this hotel again NOR recommend it as the room itself was poorly maintained, and its cleanliness and hygiene standard were both very questionable. When I checked in, the bedding smelt so stale with bad odour, it was like they hadn't been changing it for ages, to which they did change the bedsheets etc. after my feedback. On my 2nd night stay, the sewage smell from the room sink, toilet and bathroom was sooooo pungent that I had to call for service 3x to try fix it to no avail. They've offered to change my room BUT it was already so late in the night and I was so sleepy so I declined, and had to settle for moth ball smell the whole night instead as moth balls were used to combat the sewage smell in the room. I don't understand why they couldn't use room diffuser instead even though I had requested for it. I know they had room diffuser as they were using it at their hotel lobby.

Room is clean. Has a good breakfast spread servicing delicious local food. Provides complimentary supper and has a complementary laundry room where you can do your own laundry.

Good for our group of three. The most impressed is separated the washing, showing and toilet area. The loction is ok near the Wanda plaza but shall not mentioned wanda plaza to get customer high expectations about wanda plaza, actually about 500m away.

This is a new hotel located in the Fengze area. You can take the bus to the main attractions if you are not keen to walk, the bus station is just less than 100m away from the hotel. There are a lot of food options nearby. The room is small but fine for solo traveller, in-room amenities are sufficient. The staff are very friendly and courteous, they provided excellent service. The WiFi connection was not good, but the staff solved the problem as soon as possible and offered a room upgrade for compensation. I would greatly recommend this hotel!

Hygiene: Because it is a new hotel, the infrastructure is pretty good. The bedding is thick and clean. The bathroom is well maintained, and everything is good at present. But the cleaning of the room still has a lot of room for improvement according to the star rating and vision of the hotel. Dust on the ground, carpet stains, floating dust in corners, window cleaning frequency, etc. The key is that the daily cleaning is not very good. Because I booked 3 nights, I went back at 5 pm the next day, and the room was not cleaned yet; the floor towels were not provided the next day, and the power card inserted in the room was taken away. Service: Very good! Feel at home! SMS reminder the night before check-in to confirm the itinerary and arrival time. Because of traffic control, it is very considerate to inform the traffic route. The check-in process is smooth and professional, greetings every day, travel guidance, and responsive; every day when I return to the hotel, there is a ”warm sweet soup” to entertain. Once again, special thanks to the housekeeper Xiao Li and Zhuang Zhuang for their enthusiastic service, which makes this trip more colorful. And, I must say that the restaurant service is first-class. There are not many breakfast options, but the waiters are enthusiastic and the table is closed quickly. Because of them every morning, a passionate day begins. The coffee and coconut curry sauce for breakfast are really good, worthy of the foundation of a Nanyang restaurant. 😁 If you are willing to measure the style of this ancient city with your feet, then this is your best choice. Everything is within reach, warm service, accessible culture, delicious food and what you want. …. I will stay here again next time😁

It is very convenient. Of course, you can also take a taxi. It only takes 20 minutes to get to Xiapu Village by taxi. The hotel is more than 900 meters away from Puxi Wanda Plaza, which can be reached in 13 minutes on foot. In short, I was surprised when I arrived at the hotel and checked in. I will stay here again if I have the chance.

Advantages: Suitable for self-driving tours, there is free parking, the distance to the main attractions in Quanzhou is reasonable, there are also surrounding facilities, and there are also late-night snack stalls, the staff has a good attitude, and the cleaning lady is also very nice. Disadvantages: This shortcoming is not a problem with the hotel itself, but with the fact that there is a KTV downstairs (operated by someone else)! It's very noisy, from 10 o'clock to 4 o'clock in the morning. I called 110 at 2 o'clock in the morning, but there has been no improvement or feedback. I am convinced anyway! The next day, the hotel changed my room from the eighth floor to the 11th floor, and apologized, saying that my boss had negotiated with the other party many times and could not resolve the issue. So miserable. As a result, the next day, the KTV music still drifted into my ears, but it was better than on the eighth floor.
