We don’t usually stay in Residence Inn’s however our travel plans had us in Raleigh for a night and this hotel had the best option for our family of five. I have to say I was really impressed! The rooms were spacious, clean and updated. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast area was really comfortable. This was one of the nicer Residence Inn’s I’ve stayed in!

Can't say the hotel was too bad. However I can say the location is somewhat sketchy. Directly outside of the hotel their is alot of activity going on which is needless to say very questionable. Possible drug deals, ************ and drug doing. There is a gas station/convenience store right there on the premises which too draws a large crowd. However the rooms were ok. I just didn't like that I felt my car would be unsafe in there parking area due to the amount of questionable traffic. So sad to say I never took my luggage out the car in fear someone standing by would notice a bag or two and come back later to check it out. I did choose to leave but not because of the lodging. I think if you can get past the outdoor activity it may make for a nice rest spot.

Stayed at the North Raleigh Hilton for one night. Check in went very smoothly. I questioned the desk clerk regarding the complimentary breakfast that I would be receiving and she explained that even though I made a reservation on the Hilton website, the complimentary breakfast does not show up on their internal system. The room was very clean. My dissatisfaction had to do with the quality of the bedding. It was UNCOMFORTABLY too soft. Sadly, I was unable to get any sleep whatsoever due to the bedding. In addition, the pillows were feathery and provided no support whatsoever. Outside of the aforementioned, the hotel has adequate parking and adequate conference facilities.

The hotel staff were great, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself reminded me more of a motel, so I was not happy to have paid $120/night. It should have more been in the $89-$99 range. The area it was located didn't feel the safest (ie, I wouldn't have wanted to take a walk around after dark). The room itself was worn. It was clean and no bugs, but the safety lock on the door was missing a screw (which made it not as safe), the bathroom towel rack was separating from the wall, the door ran for a LONG time after you flushed it. There was a stain on the wall near the desk as if someone had thrown a pot of coffee against the wall. It was cleaned up but still evident. Interestingly, the desk assistant said there was a charge of $200 for smoking because it was a non-smoking hotel, but my room smelled of smoke (like it was in the carpet) and I smelled **** the second day I was there. The hotel was quiet - no people milling about outside or noise in the hallway (and my room was quite close to the elevators).

Great gym, beautiful pool, beautiful common area, this is a really great hotel with nice amenities! They have convenient laundry for guests. The only thing missing is I wish I had been some bottled water provided in the room and I wish they had been daily turn down service, but maybe that is because of the pandemic? It was all great otherwise.

Sitting in the hotel as I write this. Wifi did not work in the room. I notified the front desk last night that, as soon as I entered my room, it stopped working. The only option the front desk could offer me was to call tech support, which is not fair to the employee or the guest. It is 2023, Hilton…DO BETTER. There is no menu of any kind on the site for this hotel or any other under the Hilton umbrella, which makes it very difficult to plan for what I can eat. (I am on a restricted diet that, in part, prevents me from consuming dairy.) For lactose-intolerant guests, this presents a challenge as traveling with nondairy milk is not always a practical option. Why is there no soy, oat, etc., option available like every other place that serves breakfast? Further, where are healthier options like whole grain bagels/bread? You are a multi-billion-dollar company and offering a menu online as well as whole grain and nondairy options are not outlandish or exorbitant requests in 2023. In fact, they should not even have to be brought up—ESPECIALLY when breakfast is included (yet many guests are excluded). Finally, plastic cups at breakfast? Seriously?! I am not even going to say anything more about this. Stop worrying about executive salaries over the basic comforts of your guests. It is a true shame that your oversights clouded over what might have otherwise been a pleasant experience given the friendly staff.

GGuest UserWe stayed here for two nights to take in a hockey game at the PNC Arena. You can walk to the Arena from here. Traffic cops block traffic so you can cross the street. There is a small restaurant and bar in the hotel lobby for a quick bite before the game. It serves a limited menu, including burgers, but we didn't try it out. We did have breakfast in the same restaurant the next morning, and it was pretty good. There is also a restaurant in the same parking lot called the Backyard Bistro if you would prefer. Staff here were super friendly. Obviously, this place can be busy on event nights (as it is the closest or only hotel within walking distance of the PNC arena), but we found the staff up to the task and our reservation was confirmed without incident. Our king size bed room was enormous, with a super comfy bed, and it was very quiet. Staff in the breakfast restaurant was delightful. Ample parking. Outdoor pool, not heated, and small fitness room. Laundry on the second floor and only $1 per load.

Llisamax0707Comfortable, convenient, and priced-right, this Residence Inn is a great choice in Raleigh. While its decor is not trendy and up-to-date, the bed was very comfortable (which, I think, is more important) and our room was spacious. Better yet, it's close to the Crabtree Valley Mall, which offers a multitude of dining options. We stayed here recently, while Covid-related restrictions were still in place, and the breakfast buffet had been replaced with a pre-order system -- you must order your breakfast the night before you plan to eat it. We didn't do that, so I can't tell you how efficient the process is. But it's available. We were pleased enough with our experience that we plan to stay again. Recommend it!

GGuest UserWe booked out stay with friends for the Carolina Hurricanes Game. Great location, close enough to the arena but also surrounded by many great restaurants. The hotel had a nice bar, that stayed open pretty late after we got back from the game. we will be going back if the price is right for our next hockey game. The service and cleanliness was great.

GGuest UserThe front desk staff are always very friendly whenever I come to stay. Housekeeping tends to open my door before I can answer to their knock, they barely give me any time to respond before barging in. On my last day, housekeeping knocked on my door at 9am and proceeded to come on with little to no time to respond. Checkout wasn’t until 11-12 so I don’t understand why they had even come that early. The cleanliness of this hotel is always a hit or miss. My last stay, I noticed that there were orange stains all over the bedding and I didn’t notice until after I’d already slept in the bed.

The location was great which made his surprise rose delivery from door dash perfect. Since was also in celebration of my birthday. The breakfast bar was great as well. Thank you again. We will definitely be staying here again

CChaLoveI enjoyed the pool and the A/C was very good in the room. I had a balcony that overlooked the road and shopping center. Balcony king room looks exactly as advertised. The room was quiet and the sheets and towels were clean. Appreciated the refrigerator and microwave in the room. The ceiling had an uneven plastering done, but it did not affect my stay. The balcony has a simple two chair and table set, nice to have a drink on during a warm night. However, there is not a great view as this hotel is right off the road toward the city. Breakfast ends at 9 am, I wish they would change it to 10. I did not bother to wake for breakfast the next morning so I don’t really know what they had except yogurt, coffee, and a pancake making machine. Overall was a great stay and the staff is kind.

GGuest UserWe stayed there for a night and we loved it! The lady at the front desk was friendly, kind and funny! We shared a few laughs! The room was super big and it had everything! The King size bed was incredibly comfy and we rested and slept like babies. Breakfast was yummy. It had a lot of everything. Hot bacon, yummy potatoes, scrambled eggs, cereals, different types of bagels and bread, jams and cream cheese, waffles, fruit, juices, milk, chocolate milk, yogurt, coffee, tea… and Michelle was lovely! She kept cooking yummy food and asking everyone if there was anything we needed or wanted. Thank you Michelle!! The hotel has a heated pool but we tried going twice and it was packed with families and children so we couldn’t bother. Excellent location and free parking. Highly recommended!!!

GGuest UserOne of the rudest encounters. Of course an unexpected cancellation after booking a room is not directly the fault of the front desk worker, but customers will undoubtedly feel frustrated after driving 4 hours to a room that was unavailable. It is a valid human reaction, and it is not directed at one individual, but it is rather directed at the entire situation. Getting angry at customers for being mean to workers is one thing (and is completely valid), but getting angry and being just downright mean customers for asking VALID questions is quite another. Those working in customer service should never treat customers with unapologetic meanness- especially when we aren’t acting unkind. Responding to stressed out customers with hostility will do nothing but worsen the situation. And it makes us feel crappy on a weekend that is supposed to be about spending time with those we love. I never leave bad reviews for places, but the unkindness and disrespect I was treated with for trying to gain further understanding of the situation was nothing short of disheartening and completely deserves a bad review. I appreciate the other worker at the front desk who was trying to be nice. Thanks for trying to help! Just another reminder to always be kind and understanding to those around you!!
