"The SAX Hotel is Hilton's first luxury hotel in Paris. Located in the 7th arrondissement, an upscale residential area in a quiet, clean, and safe neighborhood, I give it an average overall rating, but you probably won't find a good hotel in Paris at this price.
1. The shower smelled. Upon arrival, I immediately sprayed perfume and flushed the drain. Urgly! If I hadn't wanted to avoid the hassle, I would have changed rooms! I specifically requested a quiet room away from the elevator when booking... but they still gave me Room 1, which faced the elevator and the entrance door. I feel like cursing! The French are truly abstract, always living in their own illusions...
2. The hotel staff: The front desk was nice, attentive, and able to solve (minor) problems; the doormen and bellhops were decent; the restaurant staff was average. The restaurant on the 7th floor is outsourced for lunch and dinner (how good can a hotel like this be?!), and the staff were terrible. The restaurant felt like a nightclub; avoid it! The bar on the first floor was nice, managed by a friendly, older man!
3. The hotel has a nice design, but the practicality is terrible! The room and bathroom were small to begin with, and the faucet, basin (just a steel frame), and marble bedside table (which pricked my hand)... all flashy and useless!!!
4. The breakfast selection was limited, and the waiter's English was mediocre, making orders for food and hot drinks a bit slow.
5. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel, including excellent Chinese and noodle restaurants within 2 km. The Eiffel Tower, the Seine River, Les Invalides, and Montparnasse train station are all within 2-3 km. On a good day, it's a pleasant walk, and an Uber ride costs around €20.
In short, if you can't find a better option for the same price, the SAX Hotel is worth a try. That's all!"
