We really enjoyed staying here. Tip: use the Sonder app to make a reservation! You'll get a lot better rates in the app than on any 3rd party website.

Stayed here after a bad experience at a hotel down the street. Luckily found a good rate and was pleasantly surprised to be able to check in upon our arrival around 10am. Super helpful front of house staff. The room was huge for a standard room and the bathroom had great facilities. Bed was large and very comfortable, and really appreciated the walk in closet as well as fridge in the room. Location wise you are super central, with a lot of amenities like Starbucks and Walgreens just across the street. Maybe more of a SF issue than the hotel, but did feel a little uncomfortable being out in the area in the evening due to the large numbers of homeless on the streets - we saw on a few occasions people harassing guests coming in and out of the hotel, but was handled well by the reception staff. Main reasons for one star being knocked off was firstly the AC in the room. While the window was openable, it was quite unnerving to have it open on the 10th floor. We hoped the AC would compensate for this, however it would not go below a pre-set temperature level when we could’ve appreciated some cold air coming in. We did ask the front desk twice about this and they said they’d send up maintenance to manually change the limiter but unfortunately this never happened. The reception area also can become incredibly loud in the evenings with the bar having live music - there were times I could not hear the staff talking to me due to the volume. It also took a considerable amount of time to check in, at least a 10+ minutes process which began to be irritating if we had something to ask but had to wait behind large groups to check in. We also did not get bathroom amenities restocked on three occasions. These may seem like trivial issues, but for the price point of the hotel these should not be issues in the first place. Otherwise however we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend.

I want to share my recent experience at this hotel, which I regretfully cannot recommend. The hotel has an attractive location but is marred by a lack of basic amenities and poor customer service. During our six-night stay, we discovered on the second morning that there was no hot water. We informed the receptionist, Andy, but were met with a dismissive and rude attitude. We were informed that there would be no hot water for the rest of the day, and this lack of basic amenities was for a total of three days of the six days of our stay. Please note that according to California Civil Code §1940.2, it is the responsibility of the hotel to provide and maintain hot and cold running water for guests. To make matters worse, when we requested to check out early due to this issue, we were offered no refunds as our stay was prepaid on expedia. Expedia told us that the property was to decide while the property said it was expedia.. As I am a hotelier myself, I know it is the hotel’s call in the end. We were offered a shower facility in a separate building which was very inconvenient as we had to walk out of our building and take elevators to get there.. This was not a suitable alternative to the basic amenity that we had paid for. To add insult to injury, at time of check out, Andy offered us only $80 as a refund on a reservation worth over $1500, what a humiliating act, we could not believe it! Better not to offer anything, because really it is a shame to offer this to people.. We were one of the many customers to complain, and we saw that the receptionists had no sympathy towards anyone.. Yes, all businesses are there to make money, but not like this. What they did is close to stealing from someone! I cannot recommend this hotel to other travelers, and I will continue to write on other platforms to warn people..

I totally enjoyed my stay during a 4-days at this place. The location is super convenient, take 101/130/150 to go to Union square, walk a little bit and take 19 to go to Beach Road. If you are adventurous, you can actually walk to the Downtown. I had to check in early as my flight landed a bit advance. They allowed me to early check in at a nominal fee which is totally acceptable. Also the cityscape view from hotel is amazing! I felt the place is safer, all amenities provided (ironing bed, hangers, refrigerator, iron box, coffee and tea bags… so on). I would certainly stay here again and highly recommend checking this out. The hotel staff were very accommodating with our request around our travel arrangements. Room was comfortable and spacious even with us as a family of 4- and we had older children in our family - so not small children! Very clean, good resources and equipment in the room. Slight down side was inability to open window due to room location and security as on the urban /street side but the positive is less road noise and the air conditioning worked perfectly on the few occasions we did use it. Smart clean and simple yet functional decor and furnishings. Good outside spaces to relax. Good space downstairs for games placed in situ - such as monopoly etc. Water and ice readily available on each floor. Nice to see efforts towards not using single use plastic. Plenty of access to water and little treats in the reception area. Plenty of coffee in room and accessible coffee downstairs at reception early morning . Staff responsiveness was brilliant- reception and front of house/door service staff . They are very busy but really make an effort to assist you where possible. Friendly and helpful- really great service and friendly response which was so welcoming for tired travellers! And so helpful with our leaving/check out arrangements and luggage storeage.

Hotel is kept in good order. When the facility runs out of parking in the hotel parking lot you are directed to park in the paring complex across the street. Be cautious when parking there, Oakland is a crime riddled city where criminals get a free pass to prey on the weak. Be cautious when traveling in all of the bay area. Wear a bullet proof vest if you can.

I love the location, it is so close to Union Square, with restaurants and Bank of America only walking distances away. Macy's and other stores are also very close and Chinatown only 15 minutes walking if you want to look for Chinese food. I also feel safe while staying here because the neighborhood is secure (of course you also need to stay alert & careful).

We chose this hotel because of the location for getting to the trolley, a Hop-on Hop-off tour stop, the local bus system, and the nearby BART system. For this it did not disappoint. The price is reasonable, and the hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. From this, I digress. The noise level during the nights, was that a very loud level. All from external. Sirens, music, loud cars and trucks going by, garbage trucks in the middle of the night, quite a bit of yelling, and the like. Normal ear plugs did not help. If you stay here, you will need some heavy duty ear plugs. We get up earlier and the hotel lobby coffee was not ready ever before 7:00 a.m. there is coffee in the room, however if you need real creamer, you'll be out of luck until 7:00 approximately. Not a terrible review, just want people to be aware.

It's an old resort hotel, and the room alone looks a bit shabby, but the bed is still comfortable. But when I went to the restaurant for dinner, I looked around and realized that it was indeed a resort hotel. When I had breakfast, the view of the yacht pool outside the window was beautiful. Parking is also very convenient. You need to swipe your card in and out of the parking lot. Coupled with the location of the resort, there are few outsiders entering, so parking is very safe. But you need to check in first, and then drive to the building where you live to unload your luggage, because there are four or five buildings in the resort, which are very large. The most noteworthy thing is that you must buy breakfast included, which is served from 6:30-10:00. A very authentic American breakfast. Everyone orders from the menu. The typical eggs benny breakfast, Omlet, and Oatmeal are all available, as well as coffee and orange juice. A serving is worth 25+ yuan including tax, so just give me a breakfast coupon, but because someone is serving you, you need to tip for breakfast. If you don't give it, you will be reminded.

I have stayed 3 occasions during 2 weeks of my visit to San Francisco, and I fly to different cities during my stay in San Francisco. You can store your luggage free of charge if you have the next upcoming booking. Breakfast is good but the menu is the same everyday. It is near to Macdonald and Costco. Late check out is free until 12 pm, but extra charge of $57 for late check out till 6 pm which I used during my stay as my last flight is at 9 pm. Basically it is enjoyable stay at the hotel. They have the shuttle bus every 45 mins for two time slots, (i) 5 am to 1025 am and (ii) 5 pm to 1015 pm.
