I could tell this was going to be a magical stay before I had even arrived. Staff were so helpful via email, answering my barrage of questions about local restaurants, arranging spa treatments and even a wine tasting for us. I just wanted to get our first wedding anniversary right and everyone I spoke to was amazing. We arrived at Secret View Hotel straight from another hotel and we’re therefore very early. We were offered a welcome cocktail and relaxed in the bar for an hour or so before a member of staff came over to give us all of the info on the local area. Unfortunately it was cold, grey and windy when we arrived so we decided to get a bite in the restaurant. There was no one else around but the staff were incredibly friendly and it felt like they were a little gutted for us about the weather. When our room was ready, the staff showed us up. We had been upgraded and given a room with a hot tub and the most spectacular view. We were elated! Over the course of our stay the weather got better, but with a hot tub, the wind really didn’t matter. I cannot stress enough how good the staff were throughout, every time we went out they would ask where we were going to eat and offer recommendations based on their personal experiences, the girls made my wife feel great and would always compliment her on her outfit of the day. Nothing was too much trouble and I really felt like they wanted to make our anniversary special. Our spa treatments were wonderful, the spa area is relaxing and the facilities were modern and fresh. Breakfasts were also fantastic. The selection was incredible and we woke up every morning looking forward to it. You’re situated a 15 minute walk from Oia and it’s actually quite a pleasant walk. On the day of our actual anniversary, we came back to our room to find the sweetest note from staff as well as a delicious cake made from pancakes, such a lovely touch, we were very moved by the gesture. As we had such a beautiful view and balcony area and we literally overlooked the White Rock Restaurant, I asked if we were able to order room service, but from the main restaurant menu, again, staff were more than happy to help, the 2 girls in the restaurant that evening were so lovely and brought our food to the balcony just in time for the sunset, they didn’t have to do that and was yet another example of the exceptional level of service from the staff. From beginning to end this was a perfect hotel experience. I really hope all of the staff that were part of our stay are made aware just how special we felt. It absolutely made our anniversary a dream! Thank you!

We stayed here as a family and would definitely recommend it. It is very conveniently located with a bus stop right outside and is seconds away from the main tourist area of Oia. There is also a supermarket next door. The staff were very friendly and helpful and arranged us a taxi to and from the airport and a reasonably priced tour to the hot springs and volcano. They were also quick at responding to our email queries before we travelled. Nothing was too much trouble and there was always someone available to help and answer questions. Rooms are fairly basic but have everything you need and the kitchenette is very useful if you’re trying to keep costs down, allowing you to store and prepare your own food and drinks. We booked breakfast, which was very good value compared to what we saw on restaurant menus in the area, and you could order as much as you liked. The hairdryer was old fashioned so I would recommend packing your own because it took me a while to dry my hair. The food at the restaurant is great and good value compared to many places in Oia. The pool area is welcoming and relaxing, though the pool was very cold in May so we didn’t swim for long! Pool towels are supplied if needed. Well done to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so memorable. We hope to be back.

Lovely hotel! Very friendly staff. It’s quite a walk from the taxi drop off to the hotel with lots of stairs, but they help carry your suitcase, which was very nice. They also helped with booking Covid tests for boarding the plane, recommending restaurants and places to see. The room was absolutely beautiful, with a little balcony with the most beautiful ocean views. Great breakfast. Very good COVID prevention measures. We’ve had an amazing stay and would love to come back! The only negative was housekeeping. It’s a bit windy most of the time, so lots of dust from the hills blows into the room if you keep the balcony door open. It seemed like house keeping kept forgetting to mop the floors, so you’d have black soles of your feet walking barefoot in the room. But we spoke to front desk and the next day the floors were clean. Again, we’ve had an amazing stay. Highly recommend!

What a fantastic 5 nights I spent here. Views from villa were amazing. Beautiful sunsets over the Oia white buildings. I didn't bother walking to the sunset photo stops. The best part was the owner, Spiros, and his friendly staff. Communication with Spiros by email & phone from Australia prior to my visit was superb. My greeting upon arrival by Foteni in the office was so warm and friendly - as was all her communication during my stay. Staff in the hotel for breakfast, dinner, drinks, coffee etc were always welcoming and shared a laugh. Any queries I had were handled immediately by the office and/or Thanasi, the porter/handyman. As a solo traveller I felt safe, welcomed here. Very close to marble path, bus stop, walk from Oia to Fira. I would highly recommend a stay in the villas here

We arrived at the hotel and got a warm reception. They took our breakfast order for the following morning and completed the check in process. Our room had a sitting area at the front door and balcony. Bed was comfortable and room had all the necessary amenities. The hotel is very service oriented with friendly and accommodating staff. They delivered a yummy breakfast to our room, on time. If you don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars per night for a room over looking the ocean, but close enough to shopping and restaurants, this is the place. We would definitely go back and recommend to others.

When you combine a beautifully authentic hotel brimming with character, alongside an excellent staff with great personalities you’re pretty much on to a winner. This is exactly what has happened at Fanari Villas and boy does it work well. We had an amazing week at this lovely hotel which must have the best sunset views in the whole of Santorini. Every night people flock to Oia to watch the beautiful sunset and we never had to move from any of our terrace, pool area or hotel restaurant for the perfect view. As much as we were in love with the panorama from the hotel it was the hotel staff who made this holiday that extra bit special. Everyone we had dealings with were very professional and efficient but also so very friendly and just such nice people. Having met the boss, Mrs Alexandra, I am sure these appointments are not by luck and if she wishes her staff to be a reflection of herself she has recruited very well. Chuck in a top class restaurant and our own indoor cave jacuzzi and I think you can understand why we were in no rush to come home ! Cannot recommend highly enough.

The perfect location a short walk from Oia but away from the crowds. Staff extremely helpful booking transfers, restaurants etc. nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious and we really didn’t need to eat anything else until dinner! Rooms clean spacious with great views. Water, coffee and tea replenished when needed. Recommend upgrading to pool suite for an extra bit of luxury, it was well worth it just to be able to relax and chill in our own space, although hotel very quiet and never felt busy. Lunch by pool one day before we headed out for a boat trip was delicious. We really can’t fault anything about Danae Suites. If you’re looking for somewhere walking distance to Oia but without the crowds this really is the perfect place!

Great location, next to the town of Oia. Sitting at the door of the room in the morning, you can enjoy the sunrise of Oia. Going up the steps, you need a few steps to get to a viewing platform, and you can enjoy the sunset in the distance in the evening. The staff is warm and the service is thoughtful.

Warning, don't stay here! Booked a honeymoon suite through an awesome travel agent months in advance for my wife and I to celebrate our honeymoon in Greece. When we arrived, we were greeted by Sergio who claimed the honeymoon suite was double booked and would be putting us in an ”upgraded room”, while being quite arrogant and rude regarding our situation. This room was at the front of the property and had no privacy unlike the honeymoon suite which we had booked, and we had other people or guests constantly walking by our room and hot tub. The difference in rooms was clear as the ”upgraded” room had a worse bathroom (including a cement room with a faucet for the shower) and was much darker on the inside. See picture for difference between the honeymoon suite and the room we were given. The hotel is also very far away from any sites or restaurants in Santorini, and the taxis are very expensive from the hotel and back. We ended up leaving our stay a couple days early and had a much better experience at the Myst Boutique hotel which provides awesome hospitality and taxi services up to Oia. I did have a nice interaction with Sergio's mother, who was very pleasant in getting us the taxi AWAY from this place.

I had the most wonderful dinner party for a party of 16 at the restaurant. Blown away by the service and care during the whole process. The dinner table is overlooking the sea and was set up in a U Shape making it perfect for everyone to see each other. I didn’t even realize there was a pool area right below to have drinks before dinner almost like a cocktail hour also overlooking the caldera. That was a surprise bonus! Drinks by the pool followed by dinner up at the higher deck. We were welcomed with champagne as were all guests. The amazing staff was happy to take tons of pictures of the whole group. It was sunset and we got really beautiful photos. They even took some candid photos during dinner. The servers were so quick and friendly, catered to everything we needed. I can’t say enough good things about the whole staff! Even while organizing the dinner, Vasso was always so quick to respond and ensured the set up would be great! It’s hard when you are planning an event from a distance, but everything was handled so smoothly and professionally, beyond meeting my expectations! Upon arrival a nice gal walked us down to the event space. It is easy to get lost in the steps of Oia, so her help was very much appreciated in getting guests over to the location. I can’t thank Charisma Suites enough! If you are looking for an intimate private dinner location, this is the perfect spot! Still can’t get over how wonderful it was! Thank you Charisma!
