The pear tree homestay has set the benchmark for me. Very good hygiene ***** with tasty breakfast. The host mr. Dhiraj has ensured that his guests have a comfortable stay. Manager here mr. Vicky is very helpful in each case, whether it's stay related some request or guidance for planning your day travel in & around shillong. The location of the property is also very good, hardly 20 mins. Walking to city centre. The walking enables you to enjoy & explore the city on your own. Related to stay part, everything has been taken care including attached toilet with geyser, ambient lights in room, tv, good quality mattress, hygienic laundry etc. In a nutshell, the pear tree is a must stay property in shillong.

Short and sweet. The place is nicely tucked in the centre of the city. So a great place to explore the city.

*review for pear tree b&b* i recently had the pleasure of staying at pear tree b&b, and it was a delightful experience. Located just 20 minutes from police bazaar, this b&b offers an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of the busy market area, providing a peaceful and relaxing environment. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, making my stay extremely comfortable. The property manager, vicky, was exceptionally kind and helpful, assisting with travel arrangements and ensuring that all my needs were met. Matrae, another staff member at the b&b, always had a smile on his face and contributed greatly to the welcoming atmosphere. As a bed and breakfast, pear tree b&b does not offer a buffet, but the food served was homely and satisfying. If you're in the mood for something different, there is always the option to order from outside. Overall, pear tree b&b is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to stay close to police bazaar without the noise and chaos. With its spacious rooms, friendly staff, and homely food, it provides a perfect retreat. I highly recommend it and look forward to staying there again.

Amenities were excellent. Room was neat and clean. Service was very good. Care taker was very friendly and took care of our requirements very nicely

The property is good just about a km from police bazaar. Food is good. Wonderful books to read. Comfortable stay and amiable staff.

Big rooms, clean property, food was nice, 10 mins from police bazaar, located in residential area so little far from the market

The stay was short but comfortable. It was a cosy room with city view. The breakfast had limited options but we liked it especially the parantha with aloo sabzi.

We stayed for 2 days with family, the rooms are good we booked two rooms, 1 room was very big and one with family. The food is homely food, it was nice stay

Regarding our stay at the Pear Tree Homestay, we were given a room on the 4th floor. The room itself was nice and comfortable, but unfortunately, there was no elevator.On the downside, the property gates were locked in the morning until around 8 am, preventing us from going out early. Additionally, the person who was supposed to help with our luggage was unresponsive as he was asleep at the main entrance area. This meant I had to carry our luggage down all four floors myself.Another issue was with the water bottles provided in the room. They were very small, and when I requested a larger bottle, the staff member asked us to wait until room cleaning and then charged us for the larger bottle.These aspects could be improved to enhance the overall customer experience.
