Overall, I am very satisfied. A work of cultural heritage. I was pleasantly surprised the moment I stepped into the door. Details are the most ingenious. The details of this hotel are worth looking at again and again. Different from the standardized facilities of many luxury hotels, this is a warm "apartment". Yes, I prefer to call it an apartment because it feels like home. The building's exterior cleverly uses the slope to create a visual effect of "alternation between the old and the new". It is actually a completely independent new and old building. There is a feeling of a different world at the junction. The area of the suite is not large. Guests who pursue luxury may be disappointed. But after using it, it is well considered and thoughtful. It is just right. If you stay in the old part of the house, you can see the original old floor tiles. They have traces of use but are as new as ever. Facilities: 4.5 There are not enough sockets, but the rest are very good. Service: 5 People who are interested in history can ask the front desk, and the reception staff are very enthusiastic. Transportation: 5 Very convenient, a few steps away from Clarke Quay. PS: The bar downstairs will be a bit noisy. If you care, you can communicate the room orientation in advance. I was very tired at the time and was not affected.

Many hotels in Singapore are a bit disappointing especially compared to other cities in Asia, so I tend to hop around and try different hotels. In contrast, 21 Carpenter did not disappoint. First off it's not directly part of a big hotel chain with boring rooms, it's part of Design Hotels which can also be booked via Marriott so it's not entirely separate from large loyalty programs either. I was proactively upgraded as Bonvoy Ambassador Elite to a nice suite with balcony upon check-in. I really liked the suite, good quality hardware and very comfortable. The advantage of Design Hotels is that they are usually interesting and not cookie-cutter, like this one. I can recommend this hotel and I would not hesitate to return.

Stayed over during F1 and Token2049. Hotel was nice, service staffs were friendly, but WORST HOUSEKEEPING experience ever. Waited quite a while for my room to be ready and when I got to my room, it was dirty and dusty. Not to a 5 star hotel standard. Requested to makeup my room when I’m away, sheets were changed but have stains on them. I understand this is not the hotels fault but this standard unacceptable. Please do something about your housekeeping.

21 Carpenter is an exquisite hotel, belonging to the esteemed Marriott Bonvoy brand, where heritage, art, and sustainability take center stage. The hotel was brought to life by the renowned architectural firm WOHA Architects, emphasizing the importance of design and innovation. Surrounding the building, guests will discover a carefully curated collection of art pieces by local artists, sourced by The Artling, infusing the interiors of 21 Carpenter with new energy and vibrancy. Among the many captivating pieces, guests can engage with artworks by Heman Chong, Khairulddin Wahab, and other talented artists. Notably, the hotel’s swimming pool offers a breathtaking, unobstructed view of The Marina Bay Sands, making it a top favorite highlight for visitors.

This is a new 10 month old boutique hotel under the marriott group and as a bonvoy ambassador member, i just wanted to try it Located at Clarke Quay near chinatown, the location is central. There is no bellboy and the lobby is small, signs of things to come. During check in, there was no one at the front desk and luckily, he appeared a few minutes later. Also did not acknowledge my ambassador status and claimed to upgrade me though i booked the suite. Also got a lower floor, and the view is not great The suite is small and not well designed, so my impression of the “famed” WOHA architect dimmed. The tv in the living is the smallest i’ve seen in hotels built in the last 10 years. The suite is also not suitable for more than 1 person, with no space for 2 large luggages The bathroom is also laughingly tiny with 1 sink. They literally have a pigeonhole for 2 towels only, not more. The towel was also not clean and had a stain. They do have a sink cabinet for toiletries The bedroom is another joke with a smallish bed and only space for the wardrobe door to open Wrote a seperate review about breakfast and restaurant Back to our favourite hotels in Singapore it looks like

This design hotel at Marriott is exquisite and done with a high level of detail. Even for a more small boutique hotel, it has a swimming pool and a bar. The room is well designed with high quality amenities. We especially enjoyed the toiletries and the Bang & Olufsen speakers which added notes of luxury to the room.

Had a staycation with the family and stayed in the 2BR suite. The room was cozy. The rooftop lounge allows you to have a fantastic view of MBS, which the kids loved the most. Staff are attentive and welcoming at the front desk. I would recommend this hotel and come back for another round of staycation again.

Booked this hotel for a short personal getaway. Chose this hotel as it was new and i have a personal liking to boutique hotels. First impressions were that hotel was clean & tidy. My start over the weekend was lovely and I slept well for my nights there.

Had a staycation at 21 Carpenter and stayed in the Urban Luxe room. The room had a fantastic view of Marina Bay Sands, which was a highlight of the stay. There were also complimentary cookies which were a delightful touch and a pleasant surprise. The rooftop lounge was the perfect spot to relax and take in the stunning views of MBS, especially at night when the buildings were lighted up. Breakfast was amazing as well, my favorite dishes being the mushroom omelette, coconut pancake, and hot chocolate. We were so full and satisfied after the meal! Overall, the experience was top-notch, and I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and memorable stay.
