Hotels near ILSC Sydney, Sydney

We stayed for two nights at the end of May. Our room was quiet & clean even if in need of a refurbish, which presumably, going by the building works going on, is in progress. The building works didn't impinge on our stay at all. Our breakfast (which was included in our room rate), was surprisingly good. The area it was served in was very clean and bright. We found all the staff to be pleasant. Being able to checkin & checkout on line made things move quicker, especially the checkout. The cost of accommodation in the city is very high so we were pleased that Song Hotel was a bit more affordable to us.

Great location. Walkable to darling harbour. There is groceries and eateries around. Booked a room for 3, spacious with high ceiling. Bathroom is big enough to move around. Recommended!

Stayed for first 4 nights whilst visiting Australia. Chose the hotel as it is in a decent location, ( 5 min walk to Circ Quay, plus easy for Rocks, Darling, central area for Hyde Park etc), reasonable cost and the fact they allowed early arrivals into your booked room - availability allowing. We arrived at 7am after a 26 hour flight - and our room (7th floor) was available - allowing us to grab a few hours kip. We didn’t realise that it overlooked Australia Square, which is lively & loud Mon - Fri.. Not a problem on the first night as we’re so tired. The following day we asked if we could be moved, not a problem, we were moved to a quieter room (14th floor) & upgraded at no additional cost. The room was lovely - as were the breakfast’s each morning. I cannot fault the quality of the hotel, cleanliness, friendliness and willingness to help by all the staff. Would I return? Most definitely. 😁

Clean hostel with friendly staff. Rooms were spacious with large lockers for each occupant and personal plugs and bed side lights in a great position. Showers/toilets on each floor and I never had to wait to use them. Downside is that you can hear the music from their basement club even on the 6th floor until late into the night. Didn’t bother me as I was only there a few nights and I managed to get enough sleep. Kitchen is WAY too small for amount of guests in the hostel. The social events put on by the hostel were a good way to meet people as a solo female traveller.

I stayed at the hotel for 2.5 weeks during one of the busiest times in Sydney. The rooms were cleaned daily. The staff exceptional. The manager on duty incredible. I had a few hiccups as any traveller would at any hotel but once mentioned by me to the staff they without hesitation went beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. It isn’t the most glamorous or biggest or even the most sophisticated place but it was perfect for a solo guy like me travelling in Australia for Mardi Gras and site seeing. Other friends of mine ran into numerous problems beyond my challenges at other big chain hotels but this little place kept me going and made me very happy. I’d return anytime. It’s location is perfect for site seeing and a overnight sleep or daytime nap. Thanks to all the staff there that were amazing. See ya again soon I hope!

The location of Mercure is very close to the Central Station, which is very suitable for families like us with elderly and children. The staff at reception is very nice and helpful. She suggested us to sign up as a member so we could park at a discounted rate of $45 a day (the original seems to be $49). We were charged $1 which seems to be a deposit when we registered Check-in there. There are swimming pool and fitness facilities on the 14th floor. During our stay, we called the reception for the services. The staff came to our room quickly to provide services. In addition, maybe we stayed during the Christmas period, there was a draw. Were were lucky to win the prize. My child was very happy to win a toy remote car, which added more joy. We had a good experience with our stay. The hotel staff we met there are very nice and helpfiul. If we go to Sydney again, we will consider Mercure again! 🙂🙂

I’ve noticed aggressive feedback below and I want to advocate this awesome place. I’ve stayed in the room in March and then In June with my partner.I confirm that WiFi requires attention since it’s too too poor but I’m glad that while I was here, the management has been working on that issue. That’s true that Reception isn’t 24/7 but this is Boutique Hotel for people who aren’t familiar with term, it doesn’t mean luxury all inclusive Conrad by Hilton hotel that’s why don’t expect room service, 24/7 front desk service, towel swans and etc. In addition, beautiful and friendly ladies at the reception go extra miles to ensure that you feel comfortable and like at home. The room isn’t big but stylish if you’d like more space go for room with balcony and you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea,which you may find at the reception complimentary, early in the morning looking at the Potts Point. Besides, LOCATION, this is the best,the most convenient location in Sydney! You can walk to Opera House,CBD or get the train to Bondi Beach staying away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Also, Potts Point has a soul and you may be bewitched by the spirit of this area. To sum up, don’t hesitate about the hotel, it’s gem of the area and you can definitely enjoy the time here if you don’t expect more than the hotel positioned itself. P.S. We stayed in a family room prior to a game at the Olympic Stadium. The facilities were dated but clean. Unfortunately, though, our room smelled quite strongly of cigarette smoke. Our room faced Paramatta Road, so it was noisy and bright, but the block out blinds help a bit. The shared bathrooms were OK. There is one room for the women that has a toilet, shower, and sink. The other option is an area with 2 toilet stalls and a shower over tub with no walls or curtain and a window that's permanently open, so I imagine that would be cold in the winter.

This stay was very satisfying! The room is clean, bright, fully equipped and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful, and are always ready to address our needs. The location is excellent, the transportation is convenient, and there are many food and attractions nearby. I felt like I was at home during my stay. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time. Highly recommended!
