The location is great. You can go shopping right away! Although the hotel is relatively old, it is very clean. The room is filled with the smell of soap as soon as you enter! There are not many types of breakfast, you can order bread, ham, eggs and a small amount of fruit! Overall not bad

From even before the moment I arrived at this property, I was well looked after. Transfer from the airport to hotel was taken care of and perfect. Check in easy. View lovely. Housekeeping accommodating. Wonderful Malin+Goetz products, along with bedside lavender balm. And the pillows! Evening service (water and a chocolate) delivered with a smile. Restaurant and bar staff so lovely and all with great memories of what you had and may want again. Room service timely. Everyone here has a welcoming smile. This hotel also benefits from a great location. Fitness/pool with perfect early-morning and late-day hours (until 10:30) are a big help to guests who are busy during business hours. Have felt well looked after and will return.

I stayed at Hotel Slisko for two weeks in total and it was amazing! I feel like ”part of the family” to be honest as everybody in the hotel is very welcoming and heartwarming people. The rooms are very nice and the location is perfect as it is close to the city but at the same time in a very calm place. In the morning you can have a very nice breakfast and in the evening you can enjoy the best pizza in the restaurant and a cold drink, served by the friendliest guys that actually like talking to you and have good sense of humor too! If you go to Zagreb - stay at this hotel! You will not reget it!

The interiors seemed rather old-fashioned, but they were very clean and comfortable. The hotel offers money exchange at honest rates. The meals were ok - rather plain, decent quality, and orders of magnitude better than what we were served in other hotels during our trip.

I’ve stayed in a few doubletrees and found them to be very consistent. The room was clean, spacious, modern with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. The restaurant served some really lovely food and the staff were very pleasant too. I was traveling for business so I don’t know much about it’s location for tourism but overall I had a nice stay. One question though - where was my warm cookie on arrival doubletree?! 😉

This is an excellent boutique hotel on the outskirts of central Zagreb. Extremely comfortable and quiet. The beds are super comfie which is really important on a quick international biz trip. Mark and Lorena who own the hotel are really wonderful. They made us feel welcome and were very helpful. Important to note that the hotel is not within walking distance of central Zagreb but very easy to get in by bus, taxi or Uber. Ultra modern, clean and a great breakfast. I look forward to returning!

Stayed at this hotel to be close to airport to catch an early flight to Frankfurt the next morning Pros: - Very helpful and friendly staff. Arranged for an early ride to the terminal - Clean and spacious, if a little quirky, rooms - Price is very reasonable - close to the airport, although it is no longer in walking distance now that the new terminal is completed Cons: - I like the room cool at night and could not get the A/C to work. If I had discovered this earlier the staff would have helped but I woke up warm @ 1am

We utilized this hotel after we flew into Zagreb, preparing to drive into Bosnia the next day. It was only a 15 min drive from the airport. There was plenty of parking (free). The hotel exterior was nice and well maintained. Check in was easy and attendant was friendly. The room was spacious by European standards and bathroom was nice. Good water pressure and plenty hot. Breakfast was fantastic - lots of options for food and drink. Cafe on site for coffee and ice cream, too. Only negative would be that there was a wedding the night we stayed, which went until 5 am (perhaps typical for a Croatian wedding!), and could still hear the base of the music two floors up. Not a problem for us, as we sleep with a white noise machine, but something to ask before the stay. Would certainly recommend this hotel!

柳純一From Zagreb station, take the tram 2 or 6 and the stop is not painful if you get off at the Zagreb bus station. This is good if you want to take advantage of the Zagreb bus station. There is no breakfast (you can procure it because there is a 24-hour bakery at the bus station), but you can substitute it because there is a kettle and a pack of tea and coffee and sticks. Instant soup and cup noodles are also good at the supermarket. Wi-Fi is strong and stress-free. There is air conditioning so you can deal with the heat of summer or off-season. The facilities are brand new so you can spend very cozy.

GGuest UserThe President of Turkey was visiting at the same time and although some side streets were closed we eventually arrived to the garage. This did not affect the service of the staff as they were just as helpful as usual. The decor of the hotel is very attractive and the room was very clean. The breakfast is amazing with a huge selection of breakfast foods as well as cooked items, cakes, vegetables, etc. You can be reassured if an item is left in the room from your trip it will be taken to the from office and reported. We forgot our passports and my jewelry in the safe only to discover them when we tried to check in Rovinj. The front office had tried to call us however we did not have service driving over the mountain. We returned to pick them up and everything was accounted there. What an awesome hotel!

GGuest UserThis hotel is spotlessly clean, the bed is comfortable, breakfast excellent, but above all of that Anna Maria the receptionist/host at breakfast is totally amazing, so helpful, so kind, she goes above and beyond the call of duty, a real asset to this establishment, you rarely find this kind of kindness and dedication, I am highly experienced within the hospitality industry. Well done Ana! and thank you!.

GGuest UserThis hotel is amazing, I’m a diamond member and this was the nicest Garden Inn I have ever stayed in. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom design could be a little better, you had to close the door to use the sink. The people at the front desk were so helpful. They helped us figure out how to get to old town, we walked. Instead of walking along a busy street they told us to walk by their green belt instead, it was only 5 minutes longer. They also arranged for a breakfast box for us on the day we checked out. Most hotels would give you a piece of fruit, fruit bar and water. The Garden Inn gave us a menu to choose from with sandwiches (both with meat and veggie), option of fruit, yogurt and something to drink. The standard buffet breakfast was very nice. Good selections and good quality items. There was parking in the back of the hotel, but there was also underground parking. It cost 15E a day. There were a number of restaurants in the area and a market across the street. Highly recommend. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport and it was an easy drive.

GGuest UserStayed at Hotel International with a Costsaver/Trafalgar group tour on June 18, 19, 26. A very good location as it is situated in a quiet area but if you walk 20 minutes you are in the center of the action of Zagreb with parks, restaurants and shops. Just around the corner from the hotel is the Milnar Bakery. You can find all kinds of delicious baked goods to take on the go and very reasonable. Tried the tasty Mexican Chicken Roll 11 Kuna and the Burek with Apple 10 Kuna. They open at 5:30am and closed on Sunday. At the Hotel International their breakfast buffet is very good. They open at 6:30 am which can give you an early start to your day. A very good choice of breakfast dishes-scrambled eggs which were so tasty AND NOT WATERY, bacon, zuccini, assortment of cheeses and cold cut meats and so many other choices, delicious assortment of breads and rolls. Those rolls with the seeds, out of this world delicious. Wish I new what those rolls with the pumpkin seeds are called as would love to buy them back home in Canada. They also had fresh fruits and a nice display of fruit cocktail. They have a dispenser that you can get juices and cold water. The fruit juice was very refreshing. The room was on the small side but it served its purpose. The room and bathroom very clean. I liked the idea that the bathroom had a packaged soap provided as I found out in other hotels that the soap dispensers are so hard to squeeze out the liquid soap. It was great that the room had a fridge and there was a complimentary 1 liter bottle of cold water in the fridge.

IItripI'm not a frequent hostel-goer, but my stay here was less than impressive despite the high praise it often receives. The 11-person dorm felt cramped, featuring creaky wooden beds placed too closely together. The bedding and air quality left much to be desired. On the plus side, the facilities were decent and relatively clean, including a bar area that seemed underutilized both by guests and outsiders. Considering the £20 per night price tag, there are plenty of other options in Zagreb that offer a better value for the same cost

MMilesWhat began as a suspiciously underpriced, gorgeously designed, epicentrically located property with heart and smiles for days...turned into a psychotic, abusive nightmare, like something straight out of Rosemary’s Baby. Never in all my days, in all the hundreds of properties and thousands of nights in everything from backpacker hostels to five-star suites, have I been subjected not simply to bad service (fixable) but outright and unrepentant hostility, harassment and torment by the staff. Unbelievable. As the gentleman and professional many know me to be, I in good faith detailed the infractions, called for a GM meeting, recommended simple solutions, had multiple follow-up meetings, and presumed the offending micro-tyrants would be disciplined and neutralized. They weren’t. It only got worse. And worse still. Think, stalking, door slamming, man-handling my iPad (verboten), shorting guest change when paying by cash in the bar (witnessed multiple times), having aggressive security called for eating in an otherwise public area five minutes beyond a theretofore unknown “rule,” asking me repeated and pointedly “how long I would be staying...” you get the idea. So, in the end, I cancelled two weeks of reservations (which would have been expanded to 6+) and protested with my feet. I left. A day out and I STILL feel emotionally winded, unsure of what I just witnessed. All I know is that if my behavior to a client or guest even approached this, I’d be – and should be – terminated on the spot. This was not the decision of management. But maybe it’s me. Maybe this is Croatia’s version of adventure travel. Not enough to make me fall out of love with Zagreb...but close. Interesting world.

GGuest UserI recommend this hotel as it is very well placed to wander around Zagreb. It is clean, very good breakfast and the staff not just friendly but very helpful. When you have had a wonderful holiday it is always easy to write a good review but my review is based upon yes a lovely holiday but it had to be cut short by five days - I got quite ill and had to return to London. The response by staff could not have been better or more kind. Not only did they help me get organised to leave but they also waived the cost of the 5 days. They did not have to do this but chose to help and support me. So I cannot speak more highly of this Hotel and its staff. And thank them so very much for making this difficult time more manageable fr me. So this review in not simple about the physical attributes of this very well placed hotel but evolves from the leadership and priorities of the Hotel and staff to fundamentally serve its customers. Many thanks

LLukGreat surprise for us and very good value for money! Staff was super nice and helpful, took 5 mins to go through the map and recommended places to go. Room is compact but is everything you need - it looks so new and clean assuming it has just been renovated. Shower temperature was good for summer but might not be warm enough in winter if don’t turn on the heater. Very big desk if that’s useful for you. 15 mins walk from the train station and nearest shopping mall, and another 15 mins walk to reach city centre. Free parking in front of the hotel.
