"This hotel is on Fifth Avenue, a minute walk to CMU.
The hotel is two centuries old villas.
This time I arranged to live on the third floor of the small villa, the slope roof, a bit like a loft
The villa has no elevator and takes the stairs by itself.
The advantage is to live in an old building and see the wealthy American houses of the year.
The price is moderate.
The disadvantage is that the air conditioner is too cold and can't be turned off by yourself, but the hotel can't operate it, and it's frozen for two days. And the sound is louder.
There is also the roadside, the sound of vehicles in the morning and evening, not particularly quiet.
Living in a rooftop attic always feels straight.
You can experience it once, and you don't plan to live again later.
The bathroom cabinet, I touched it with my hand, there is dust, not cleaning every day."

GGayleCodyI wish I could say our last 24 hours here have been great, but I canât. On Wednesday when we needed to extend our stay someone from the front desk, put a reservation in for us, called us back and told me that the reservation was completely taken care of and not to worry. My keys were waiting for me at the front desk when I got back from working that night very late probably after midnight we already had the keys. I went to the room and went to sleep when I went to work the next morning and later in the day I received a phone call from Leighton, giving me a very difficult time about extending my reservation for the next night telling me that the previous night had not been paid for and it was $141. When I tried to tell him what I had already been told there was no listening to what I had to say and what I had already been told.
He told me that I had to come to the front desk immediately and pay for the previous night as well as pay for that night. I was already working close to an hour away and told him that that was impossible. I told him that I would go online and make the reservation for that night, but I could not deal with anything with the previous night until I returned. He told me that I had until 8 oâclock otherwise he was canceling that nightâs reservation. He was beating me repeatedly. He did not want to listen to what I had to say. He was so awful to deal with. I could go on and on.
When I returned, it took me until past 1 oâclock in the morning to get the entire issue straightened out because I had not been told that whoever made Wednesday nightâs reservation had also booked one for Thursday night as well and they expected me to pay for two nights totaling well over $200. I certainly was not going to pay for a second night, knowing that I had already previously booked a reservation online, of course at that hour, Leighton was nowhere to be found, and certainly he was not answering his phone or his text messages. They were threatening to cancel my reservation, leaving myself. My two children stranded for the night,
They were changing shifts to any people had things to say there was too many people involved. I was getting too many and too much different information. This was just way too much for me to handle. I was told that I needed to pay one price somebody else that I needed to pay a different price I was told I needed to pay something else. It was just way too much and too many people were involved.
Finally at 1 oâclock in the morning, I paid the $92 I was able to check into my room and go to sleep.
The next day, I was then told that I was not able to make a reservation to extend my stay further and Iâm only allowed to make reservations for one week at a time. Nowhere have I been told that I have to make reservations one week in advance for seven days at a time I have stayed at Marriott residence Inn before and never have I had to make reservations for seven days at a time, but I was told the manager can put that rule. into effect.
what happens if I only want to stay here for five more days?
Do I still have to pay for seven? I donât know, regardless we had a broken dishwasher in our room and they thought it would just be easier instead of repairing the dishwasher to make us change rooms and move us from one end of the hotel all the way down to the other
GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the Chinatown of Philadelphia, close to the city hall of Philadelphia and the city hall. You can get to Penn by subway. Unfortunately, in a hurry, I didn't have a good meal in Philadelphia Chinatown.
ććFree parking, standard American-style breakfast, free ice water and free planed rice in the lobby. The location of the hotel is close to the main road, the room is not too big, and there is noise near a train.
JJameszhanThe hotel is in a good location, with many restaurants and a Walmart around. Free parking.
The room is OK, there is no electric kettle and slippers. But the facilities are old, it should be an old hotel.
The overall feeling is good
GGuest UserHotel was very nice and the room felt like home. I didnât like that it didnât tell me if the room had a shower or tub even after putting the childâs age. Thatâs a little frustrating because itâs kind of hard to wash a 3year old up in a shower. My room was non-smoking but the room smelled like old smoke so I cleaned very good to get that smell out which wasnât too bad at all. The staff who worked the night shift I have a few problems with. I donât think she may be mean or a mean person but sheâs definitely not a peoples person. Her attitude was very rude dry and cut-off. When asking her anything she made us feel like we were annoying her and she lied to our face about the room she put us in. She tried to say the room says shower only but couldnât provide where it say that because it said or tub and I know when you arrive for check-in they will give you a room thatâs available according to your reservation. There was no option for me to request or make sure a tub was in the room. She did pick up on us taking her interaction with us as rude and tried to make it somewhat better. She doesnât smile and have a look on her that says I donât want to be here or deal with this. I didnât like that the description doesnât match a lot of the things at this location and probably wouldnât have booked here had I know they didnât have no kid activities besides basketball and miniature golf. I love that itâs next to a lot of shopping stores and din-in and out restaurants that are walking distance. I just advice you to either contact the hotel or whoever you are booking certain details because this happened twice picking a room thatâs available according can be giving with either one regardless of the child age.
BBE ABROADABLE - Nat the ExpatSecond time staying here â the hotel itself is clean and very comfortable, the rooms are well equipped. Breakfast is pretty good. This time around we had a bit of a struggle at check in which also caused a problem at breakfast the next day.
The lady who checked us in (Megan) asked me four (4) times if I needed parking and didnât seem to believe me when I kept saying no. She also told us our room wasnât ready even though we checked in at 4pm, an hour after check-in time, and told us weâd need to take a 2 queen room instead of a king room.
I told her weâd rather wait for a king room because thatâs what we paid for, and lo and behold, suddenly she had one.
We paid for breakfast with our stay, but she forgot to give us tickets for breakfast. Made it very awkward when we went to breakfast the next day and had to insist that weâd paid for breakfast. They still gave us a bill for breakfast, but then after talking to the front desk realized it was a mistake.
They were kind, but it was still very awkward having to defend the fact that weâd paid for breakfast already. They said we were the second group that day which the front desk had forgotten to give breakfasttickets to.
All in all, aside from the people and the awkwardness caused, it was a good stay. Weâll hope for better service next time we come back.
BbobodogThe location is about two blocks from the city center, which is quite convenient, but there are limited dining options nearby; you have to go to the city center for more choices. The room is very spacious and well-equipped with an induction hob, oven, washing machine, and dryer, making it suitable for long stays or self-catering. The public facilities are on the top floor and, though I didn't need to use them much, they seemed complete and clean. The room decor is simple with a bit of an industrial style, primarily featuring concrete and white walls, emphasizing simplicity and convenience. Overall, everything was pretty good, but one major point was that the room wasn't cleaned at all during my 5-day stay. The hotel should provide some guidance upon check-in or in the room regarding cleaning services and trash disposal instructions, either for guests to handle themselves or for paid services. When I asked the front desk for cleaning, I was told they usually clean only once every three days, but in reality, it wasn't cleaned once during my entire 5-day stay. The accumulating trash, in particular, was a problem as I didn't know how to dispose of it. This was a bit of a letdown compared to my usual business hotel stays. If guests are expected to clean up their own trash, clear instructions are definitely needed to avoid confusion and the feeling of a lack of service.
GGuest UserFor us the location was great! The rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Service, for the most part, was very good, with the only exception being the gentleman who manned the front desk on arrival. Not friendly at all. It felt like we were an interruption. Breakfast was your standard fair. Scrambled, powdered eggs and sausage or bacon, and make your own waffles. Coffee, juice choices, bagels, and packaged sweets. It was good and it does make for a fast and convenient meal.
The WIFI on our floor was horrible! In this day in age, this is unacceptable! I ended up using the computer by the breakfast area to set up our outgoing flight!
The building is becoming dated but, there was construction going on so perhaps they are updating. The bathroom did not have a fan or any towel racks. Unfortunately, it appears that people have been using the shower curtain rod as it is tilted downward and you really need to make adjustments to avoid a wet floor. There are no handles for the physically impaired. Getting in and out of this slippery bathtub is difficult. Our toilet tank had a leak and frequently had to reload water. Finally, the HVAV is good and it is also loud. But if you have traveled a lot, this is fairly common.
An extra note. We decided that we really didn't need a rental and would use Lyft/Uber. It worked well but there is rarely a car nearby. We made sure we allowed time to get picked.
Because of its location and that it was typical of a hotel of this ranking, I would stay there again.
AAnonymous UserThe staff was very nice and friendly. The chlorine smell was overwhelming in the lobby and it was even worse in the pool area. We couldnât stay in the pool area for more than 5 minutes before we had rashes and had trouble breathing because of the chlorine. The room was not that great a broken receptacle cause me a minor zap. A random chair in the far corner that seemed wedged against the wall had a water stair or something on the foot rest part (we stayed away from that it looked like it had seen better days or was ready to just give up. Broken security lock on door, burn in curtain in a non smoking room, the curtain was hard to close, broken door stop on bathroom door, shower curtain was much too small for the shower which cause water to end up on the bathroom floor so much so that the bath mat couldnât keep the floor without a small puddle. For a two night stay for two people we were given 3 towels. Thankfully I always bring my own towels. The jacuzzi tub was amazing though after we cleaned and disinfected it. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was nice. The incessant pounding that started the second morning at 10am and went until who knows when ( we got so sick of it we drove over to Hershey for the day around noon). The first day at 4pm was when we first noticed the pounding at 6:30 we went for dinner because the noise was a bit much and came back around 9:30pm. The next day (second day) we found out when it started again it was construction 3 rooms away they were putting in flooring.
