Facilities: The hotel isn't new, but the facilities are well-maintained. Hygiene: Both the room and bathroom were very clean. Environment: You can walk to Tai Wo Hau MTR station from the rooftop. This hotel is a complex with its own restaurant, and there's a supermarket, Sasa, and many restaurants downstairs. Taxis are also readily available. Service: Despite many guests, the staff managed everything efficiently. They offer free luggage storage and a shuttle bus service.

Hotel near HongKong International Airport,Hong Kong 6.2% of visitors choose this area

The hotel is really close to the concert venue, which was super convenient as I could walk there indoors even when it was raining. The room was small, but you could tell a lot of thought went into the design. The glass made the space feel bigger, and the lighting and sparkly decorations were unique without being tacky. The only thing that could be improved is the shuttle service to the subway station – it only runs once an hour, and it's always so packed that not everyone can get on, leading to long waits for the next one. In contrast, the shuttle to the airport runs too frequently and is often nearly empty. Perhaps they could adjust the airport shuttle to fewer trips with a reservation system, freeing up more shuttles for the subway station, especially during peak meal times and in the evening.

I wasn't expecting much, just needed a place to stay for one night. But the front desk staff proactively upgraded my room, which was a nice touch! The hotel is a bit older, but it has all the essentials, and it was pretty quiet at night. Overall, I'm satisfied with it as an airport hotel.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient; you just turn right out of Mong Kok East MTR station and walk straight to see the hotel sign. While the facilities are a bit dated, they are very well-maintained. For Hong Kong, where space is at a premium, the room size was a pleasant surprise. The service was also excellent; the twin room had plenty of towels, and all the toiletries and slippers were provided. Housekeeping was polite and kept the room very clean. Plus, luggage storage was convenient. Overall, Royal Plaza Hotel offers great value for money. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Hong Kong.

Room type issue: Generally, for the same room type, the room allocated this time was just too small. Last time I came with a friend, the room facing Victoria Harbour near the lobby felt great. It wasn't big but it was spacious. This time, I was allocated a room facing another direction, directly opposite two funeral parlours. Ugh (I didn't even open the curtain on one side). Hotel location: The hotel is right above the MTR station, a 10-minute walk to Victoria Harbour, and there are many restaurants downstairs. This is why I chose the hotel again. Opposite is Hong Kong Polytechnic University, you can ask someone on Xiaohongshu to help make a reservation.

Hotel near Wan Chai and Causeway Bay,Hong Kong 7.3% of visitors choose this area
AAnonymous User 2026.02.21
This hotel's location is undoubtedly one of its biggest selling points. It's just a few minutes' walk from Wan Chai MTR station, making it incredibly convenient to get to Central, Causeway Bay, or even the Golden Bauhinia Square (where you'll find the famous mobile soft-serve ice cream truck). Right behind the hotel is the well-known Lee Tung Avenue (aka 'Wedding Card Street'), and next door is a larger, more retro Kee Wah Bakery, along with many other unique specialty shops. The surrounding area offers a fantastic array of dining options, from local snacks to upscale restaurants, so you'll always find something to your taste. The service also left a deep impression. From the front desk to room service, the staff consistently showed patience and attentiveness, creating a warm and genuinely welcoming atmosphere. Even during busy periods, they maintained an excellent standard of service, which made the stay even more pleasant. While the elevators are a bit small and you might have a short wait during peak hours, it didn't significantly impact the overall experience. The breakfast area isn't large, and seating is limited, but the quality of the food makes up for it. Although the variety isn't extensive, every dish is executed very well. The dim sum, in particular, is on par with what you'd find in a good local teahouse. The sticky rice chicken was soft and flavorful, the lava custard buns were perfectly balanced in sweetness and saltiness with a rich flowing filling, and the steamed dumplings had thin skins and generous fillings – definitely worth trying. The coffee was also a pleasant surprise; the latte's milk foam was wonderfully creamy and smooth, and the Americano was clean-tasting with no acidity, making it a perfect pick-me-up at breakfast. The check-in process was very smooth, with no deposit required, which saved a lot of hassle. Drinking water and toiletries were already prepared in the room beforehand, showing thoughtful attention to detail. Overall, this stay was a delightful experience, offering both the convenience of its location and the satisfaction of excellent service and food.

Why did nobody mention the sea view from the window? I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the curtains in the morning! The room is quite spacious for Hong Kong standards, and the basic amenities are all good. The only downside is the location, which is a bit out of the way, but that's manageable. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the MTR station, and Tsuen Wan Station is super convenient for getting anywhere. Tsuen Wan West even has a direct connection to the High-Speed Rail station, which is perfect for our itinerary of one day at Hong Kong Disneyland and one day exploring the city center. Even taking a taxi back to the hotel from the MTR station late at night isn't expensive. Overall, it's a much better option than the shoebox-sized rooms in the city center... I really can't stand paying a thousand dollars for an eight-square-meter guesthouse.

Cons: The room was tiny, and the bathroom had a noticeable odor. The hotel staff outright refused to open a window for ventilation, only offering an air purifier, which did nothing. For a hotel charging nearly 2000 a night, they still charged for bottled water and even a razor. The staff training was inconsistent. Most of the front desk staff didn't even smile at guests (the Filipino interns at the front desk actually had the best attitude). However, the executive lounge staff were excellent, with a much higher level of training and service awareness than the front desk. There was a middle-aged woman at the front desk who seemed to be a local Hong Konger, possibly a front office manager. When she heard me speak Mandarin, she insisted on conversing with me in English. I'm not sure if it's because she grew up in colonial Hong Kong and felt the need to assert her presence and superiority with English, condescendingly looking down on us ”mainland bumpkins.” I suggest the hotel's General Manager provide better ideological education and training for their middle managers. It's 2026; no one is inherently superior to anyone else! Pros: The hotel is very new, and the gym, pool, and rooftop Cruise restaurant are excellent – new and beautiful. The staff at the Cruise restaurant and executive lounge were very good in terms of service attitude and problem-solving skills.

This hotel is highly recommended for a trip to Hong Kong. Firstly, the location is excellent; it's about a 10-minute walk to Victoria Harbour from Tsim Sha Tsui. Secondly, the hotel is surrounded by shops like Mannings and Sasa, and there's a subway station right downstairs, which is very convenient. Thirdly, the hotel environment is great, and the service is excellent. The room size is surprisingly large, which is rare to find in Hong Kong. The only downside is that the beds are quite small; even a double bed felt cramped sleeping with my 9-year-old child. I don't understand why such a spacious room wouldn't have a bigger bed. Other than that, everything else was perfect, and I still highly recommend it.

1. **Room:** Excellent! It was a suite, very spacious, designed like an apartment. You rarely find rooms this big in Hong Kong. 2. **Location:** Very good, perfect for shopping. It's a short walk to the hotel from Wan Chai Station Exit D. I'd advise against using Exit A3, as there are many Southeast Asian street vendors there, making it quite messy. 3. **Service:** Great. Although I had a minor issue with my booking this time, and couldn't get an extra bed, both Trip.com and the hotel were proactive in trying to resolve it. (If you have requests like an extra bed, it's best to email the hotel directly to confirm. Notes in the booking might not be seen by the hotel.) 4. **Transportation:** A taxi from West Kowloon cost 120 HKD, plus a tunnel fee of about 68 HKD. If you don't have much luggage, the MTR (subway) is also convenient. 5. **Surroundings:** There's an abundance of great food – Lee Tung Avenue across from the hotel, nearby tea restaurants, and eateries right downstairs. I had an unexpected surprise this trip: I got to witness the spectacular firework display on the second night of the ***** New Year!

GGuest UserI had a really pleasant stay at Rambler Oasis Hotel – it exceeded my expectations in many ways! The hotel is clean, comfortable and has a nice, relaxed vibe. My room was cozy, well-kept and came with a lovely view. I particularly enjoyed the complimentary tea – it was delicious and felt like a thoughtful little extra. The location is very convenient, especially for getting from the airport – the transport links are straightforward and easy to use. A couple of small notes: there was no complimentary bottled water in the room (which I would have appreciated), and no spoons for the tea but it wasn’t a big issue overall. Also, for European plugs you need to bring your own adapter or borrow one from reception (they provide it, so it’s not a big problem). The staff were friendly and helpful, and overall the hotel felt welcoming and great value for money. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable, budget-friendly stay in Hong Kong. Thank you for a nice experience! 😊

NNanguaniangThe hotel's front desk staff, both the young men and women, were excellent. They arranged a room with a superb view, allowing us to perfectly enjoy the New Year's fireworks display. They were very responsive to all our requests and fully met our holiday needs. Thanks to the enthusiastic help of Ms. Nicole, we quickly traveled from Hong Kong directly to Shenzhen to continue our second leg of the journey. We will definitely choose Island Shangri-La again next time.

11358053****1. This hotel is a bit out of the way. There's only one 7/11 nearby, and it's not even 24-hour. The closest place to get food is a 20-minute walk. If you're coming back late and want a bite to eat or to buy something, it's best to have eaten beforehand or to have bought things already. 2. There's no general food delivery in Hong Kong; you can only download the Hong Kong-specific Keta delivery app. However, you need to register to use it, and you can only do so with a local Hong Kong or foreign phone number. Mainland Chinese phone numbers don't work. We asked the front desk if we could register with their number and have them notify us when food arrived, but no one in the entire hotel was willing. So, Keta delivery was effectively useless. 3. The power outlets in Hong Kong are different from mainland China. If you bring the wrong adapter or forget to bring a specialized one, your phone and computer will be useless, because the hotel provides absolutely nothing. At most, they'll let you scan a power bank for 200 yuan deposit and 8 yuan an hour – do with that what you will. 4. The hotel rooms are quite old and a bit dated, and the cleanliness is just average (there was still hair on the towels, and tea stains hadn't been wiped off the table). Those who mind these things should take note.

GGuest UserBooked this hotel through Trip.com, and they really went the extra mile – confirming that toiletries and power adapters were provided, and even helping me get a room on a higher floor. The hotel's location is truly excellent, right inside Elements Mall. It's super convenient for visiting M+ Museum, shopping at Harbour City, or exploring Victoria Harbour and the Avenue of Stars. You can easily reach most places within a 20-minute city walk. Even though the hotel has been around for nearly 20 years, both the facilities and service are top-notch. The breakfast spread is fantastic. After reading many reviews, I chose the W, and it really offers great value for money!
