"The hotel could be much better if they improved their service! Overall, it's pleasant with a nice design. Let's start with the pros: + Great location, with a bank nearby for currency exchange, a coffee shop across the street, two decent fast-food places, and a small supermarket next to the hotel selling nuts, dried fruits by weight, and tea (prices are generally like a market). Tourist attractions are only 100 rubles and about 5-7 minutes away by taxi. + Good breakfast with a wide selection, almost everything you could want, and tasty. + The room was clean. I can't comment on regular cleaning as I requested it at reception for a specific time, and they accommodated me. + The indoor/outdoor pool is clean, and there's nobody there in the morning. Cons: - After 12 PM, the pool gets crowded. Local guys were smoking right on the sun loungers, and no staff member said anything to them. - Upon check-in, the administrator gave me a room that didn't match my booking. I booked an upgraded room, but I was given a 'budget economy' room on the first floor with a view of a concrete wall and absolutely no natural light! (Photos attached). The administrator refused to give me another room for free, claiming they had no rooms. However, after I contacted Trip.com support, he miraculously found another room category for me without any extra charge! A woman before me had the same situation, so it seems they try to scam guests by initially giving them a bad room and then charging extra to upgrade to the one they should have had in the first place. It was a bit stressful, but the issue was resolved in the end. - The shower barely worked; you could only wash under the tap as there was absolutely no water pressure in the showerhead. - The air conditioning only worked on maximum power; it didn't work at all or would switch off on the lowest setting, which was inconvenient. Hotel management needs to control staff who are ruining the hotel's reputation by assigning rooms that don't match bookings, thus spoiling the mood of guests who paid to relax! I also recommend partial renovation or replacement of the plumbing. The hotel looks solid from the outside, but there are clear management shortcomings internally. Fix these issues, and it will significantly improve occupancy and the number of positive reviews! It's all in your hands! I've also included photos of the room I eventually received after the dispute."

"・A few days before our stay, my travel companion lost their phone in Tashkent. We had almost given up hope, but Mr. Mirfayz and the other front desk staff went above and beyond, calling various places and eventually finding the phone for us. They provided immense support, including arranging for us to pick it up, and we successfully got the phone back on our departure day. Even though it was a problem unrelated to the hotel, the front desk offered service that went far beyond their usual scope. I don't know everyone's names, but a huge thank you to all of them. ・There were many comfortable seating areas in front of the rooms and the reception. While waiting at the front desk, a staff member brought us tourist brochures for Bukhara and explained them to us. All the staff were very friendly, and Mr. Timur, in particular, was incredibly kind and helpful. ・The laundry service was prompt, meticulous, and thorough. ・It was raining and we were very tired on the day we arrived, but being able to use the pool and sauna made our stay comfortable. The pool area had many small, partitioned spaces, making it comfortable to use even with other people around. ・When we checked out, we had a taxi arranged, but the roads were closed that day, so we had to go to a pick-up point quite far away. The front desk staff carried our luggage all the way to the distant pick-up point. They helped us with so many things until the very end, and we only have good memories. Five stars aren't even enough! When I come to Bukhara again, I will definitely choose this hotel."

"I had the best time staying here! The room is very nice with a lot of amenities, the beds are comfy and there’s even a kitchen for light cooking. It’s located very near to all the main attraction and you can easily walk everywhere. The breakfast was so good as well, I enjoyed it so much! It will be delivered to the room every morning & there’s few option to choose from. Hakim is very friendly, helpful and attentive. He even printed me Bukhara attraction maps with a list of recommended restaurant. Even I came alone I felt very safe and welcomed. The rate is very affordable as well considering the location & the service. Highly recommended for all types of traveller especially solo female traveller 🫶🏻"

"The hotel is located right in the center of Bukhara. Price is great considering location and the fact that breakfast is included. Room was clean, no issues. The guy working at the reception is kind and he helped me with my laundry. He would give me water whenever I wanted. I would stay again if needed."

"If I ever come back to Bukhara, I'll definitely book this hotel again. It's beautiful, clean, and right in the heart of the old city, making it super easy to pop back after a stroll. The breakfasts are incredibly delicious, and the coffee is excellent (they use whole beans!). You can even buy drinks and alcohol at the reception."

"The staff members were friendly, communicative, and helpful, the parking was free, and the wonderful buffet breakfast was included. The room's air condition wasn't very strong, and the room was a bit small. Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to use the beautiful pool"

"My friends and I were absolutely delighted with this hotel and its staff. It's conveniently located, just a 15-minute walk to the historic city center, with shops and cafes nearby. The food at Cafe Minor was delicious; the lamb shashlik was both affordable and excellent. The hotel rooms are spacious and stylish, spotlessly clean, and smoke-free. The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom has everything you need. We were even given plush bathrobes upon request. Breakfasts were perfectly adequate, with something for everyone. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel."

"Bokowul Heritage Hotel is located right by Po-i-Kalyan Square (in front of the Mir-i-Arab Madrasah gate), the city's central landmark. All routes start here, and every attraction in the old city is within walking distance. The guesthouse's location is excellent; from the rooftop, you can see the Abdulaziz Khan Madrasah. The guesthouse has been recently renovated, offering good accommodation. It's nestled in an alley, but if you can't find it, nearby shopkeepers are happy to help with directions. Two young men gave us a warm welcome and even suggested we watch the World Cup final from the rooftop to enjoy the night view. Unfortunately, we arrived too late, but we appreciated the thought. We hope more travelers come to Bukhara and choose to stay here."

"I had a wonderful stay. The most beautiful room I experienced in Uzbekistan. The hotel is built around a central open courtyard, with rooms on all sides. When you step out of your room, you’re on a balcony overlooking the space, facing the other rooms across the way. It gives the whole place a really calm, traditional feel. What truly made the stay special, though, was the hospitality. The hotel is family-run, and the owner is incredibly kind and thoughtful. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable, getting us water at night, arranging something for us to eat before a late departure, and helping organize a taxi. His son also helps run the place and he's really kind, diligent and attentive Breakfast was also very enjoyable, served in a bright and welcoming room that made mornings feel relaxed and pleasant. Overall, a warm, comfortable, and genuinely caring place to stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bukhara."

"I wholeheartedly recommend this guesthouse! I recommend it to all friends visiting the ancient city of Bukhara who are looking for a guesthouse experience! ❤️ The hosts are all incredibly patient and attentive. The owner always listened carefully to our requests, and communication in English was smooth. Pre-arrival email correspondence was also answered very promptly. Every night when we returned, there was a light left on for us, making it feel just like coming home. On our last day, when we left in the early morning, they even helped us call a taxi and saw us off. The hostess doesn't speak English but is very gentle and keeps the house spotlessly clean, inside and out. The owner enjoys reading, is gentle and devout; you can feel completely at ease staying here. 🏨 The location is superb! It's just a one-minute walk to the spot featured on the *Lonely Planet* cover, making it very convenient for watching sunrises and sunsets. The ancient city is also just a few minutes' walk away, making it very chill indeed. I hope the owner's guesthouse continues to thrive. Hardworking people deserve to be recognized by more people, and I hope future guests staying here in Bukhara can relax and enjoy their time. 😊😊"
