Abandoned Treehouse

Found this short hiking route via TimHiking and I went with my mom’s group friends. We went hiking once a month, after sending kids to school. It’s our mom time kind of me-time. It all started at Tai Ho MTR station exit A. Walk towards Tai Ho Plaza, walk towards the park, you’ll pass by Kam Wo Bridge. Follow the sign and head to Lin Au. When you’re at Kam Shek New Village, turn right to the parking lot. Walk through and you’ll see a small pavements at the left. From here, it’s basically one way up, and you’ll see signs of Wat Makthumvanaram. Yes. This abandoned tree house located right behind a temple. It’s a Thai temple. We have to pass through the temple, take the stairs at the back to the treehouse. The staffs are friendly, offering us drinks. When you’re here, please be quite and respectful. It’s really a beautiful place. The streams are clear, the surrounding greens makes everything it looks like a fairyland. Duration: - MTR to Temple round trip (approx 1.5 hours) - We took another route to Tai Po Market and got lost half way (3 hours in total) Distance:4.6km Max.
