Nanyang, Henan, a place worth visiting three times | Nanyang Museum

💛Reservation: No reservation needed, just swipe your ID card to enter 💛Visit: There is an ancient exhibition hall upstairs, from dinosaur skeletons, primitive tools to Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, as well as jade exhibition hall, South-to-North Water Diversion achievement exhibition, pottery dog exhibition hall (didn't go to see), bronze ware exhibition hall, etc. It's quite big, half a day's visit is ok. Maybe because the museum was built late, the exhibits are quite good, many cultural relics have QR codes next to them for detailed introduction; there are barrier-free passages, which is very humane. 💛Highlights: 1⃣️There are many bronzes, after all, it is in the Central Plains region, where the Shang and Zhou cultures flourished, and there are also some relics of the Chu State, so friends who like bronzes can feast their eyes～ 2⃣️Ceramics are displayed according to kilns, with detailed introductions, which is very friendly. In the Qing Dynasty hall, I also saw the 'twin' of the large plate from the Longquan kiln in the Forbidden City, but it is smaller, I also like the pair of pea green bottles next to it. 3⃣️There are many things from the Han Dynasty, pottery dogs, pottery figurines, bricks and stones, and even a replica of the tomb door is on display, which is quite gorgeous. There is also a copper-threaded jade suit in that hall. I think the things from the Han Dynasty are more detailed than those in the National Museum, and they are worth a look. 4⃣️The Ming and Qing hall has many things from the princes who were enfeoffed here during the Ming Dynasty, so there are also some gorgeous cultural relics. 5⃣️The bronze hall has a detailed explanation of bronzes, and even lists the parts of the horse's body. 6⃣️The jade hall is quite nice, in addition to the cultural relics, there are also some works by contemporary sculptors, Nanyang's Dushan jade is very famous. 🎈Culture can generate the power to unite people's hearts, start reading about the city of Nanyang from the 'Three Museums and One Courtyard - Nanyang Museum' on the banks of the Bai River!
