Peles Castle, Sinaia, Prahova, Romania.

When we went to visit, the castle itself was unfortunately closed, but we were still able to walk the grounds. It was one of the first castles I visited and it was truly beautiful and a place you would actually want to live in. It was really beautiful. The colors, the statues, the details of the architecture... A very beautiful place. The interior was all closed in February, and we heard that in the summer people queue for hours. The exterior is very beautiful and feels like a piece of Bavaria in Romania. There are small coffee shops and souvenir stores. The road is steep and gravelly which would be a challenge for wheelchair users. Our visit was really enjoyable but I would recommend a guide. I wish it had been open so we could see the inside which I can only guess about. I will definitely visit again soon.
