The 'Li River' of Laos - Nam Song River

Vang Vieng, a very small town in Laos, has become a hub for outdoor activities thanks to its karst topography that forms numerous small peaks, the 'Li River'-like Nam Song River, and the blue lagoons... Activities such as hot air ballooning, paragliding, cave tubing, kayaking, mountain biking, road go-karting, and blue lagoon diving have flourished, but the most attractive is still the Nam Song River. The houses along the Nam Song River, set against the backdrop of the karst landscape, are particularly charming. The river flows swiftly, often stirring up waves, but it is not deep, mostly covered with pebbles, making it very clear. Even without engaging in any activities, just drifting along is absolutely comfortable. However, it is best to avoid the midday sun.
