DONALD PETERSEN

Enjoy seafood at the Sheraton Zhongshan and explore the Citywalk in the old town area!

Last weekend, my friends and I got a 'Two Days and One Night Tour in Zhongshan'. We chose to stay at the 'Sheraton Zhongshan' and planned our Citywalk route around it. We checked out Qingxi Road, Sun Wenxi Pedestrian Street, and Sun Wen Middle Road. Although there was a drizzle, it added a special charm to the experience. Firstly, let's talk about the accommodation. Upon first seeing the Sheraton Zhongshan, I was attracted by its solemn and steady decoration. The elegant style left a strong impression on me. For friends who like to take photos for their social media, I can recommend a few spots from my pictures. This time we stayed in a king room with a dual view of the Qijiang River and Qijiang Park (on the other side is a twin room, where you can see the Ferris wheel, and the night view is super beautiful). On the day of check-in, it happened to be the 'Oyster Feast' renewal theme buffet dinner at the hotel's restaurant. You can't miss out on something like free oysters! There were all kinds of delicious oyster dishes on-site, such as durian baked oysters, garlic oysters, oyster pancakes, as well as chilled seafood, seafood in sauce, freshly cut sashimi, and a variety of tasty dishes waiting to be indulged in. After the meal, it was truly satisfying! Additionally, the restaurant also has a seafood Tom Yum Goong hot pot, which is sour, sweet, and the best at dispelling dampness. When you're out and about, you have to take real action to drive away the gloom of the humid southern weather! Regarding the Citywalk route around the hotel, I first recommend checking out the 'Sun Wenxi Road Pedestrian Street', which has a strong Macau feel. It's just a ten-minute walk from the hotel, and the surrounding area is very bustling. The pink 'Xiangshan Commercial Cultural Museum' is both beautiful and meaningful. If that's not enough for photos, you can also go to the pink 'Catholic Church' on 'Sun Wen Middle Road', which is also very picturesque. Furthermore, I recommend the nearby 'Qingxi Road', a long street that connects the Qijiang River, the Ferris wheel, bougainvillea, and other points of interest. Strolling leisurely along, you can feel as if the swiftly passing time has slowed down.
