The crane and sluice gate of Zigong

In Gongjing District, Zigong City, Sichuan Province, the Dagong Well near Wuhuang Cave, like many other cranes in Zigong City, was once an important mining site for Zigong well salt. The towering crane frame and the firm and stable steel wire rope, despite decades or even hundreds of years of wind and sun, still stand proudly today. The flowing water of the Xu River forms a cascading waterfall after passing through the ups and downs of the rocks. The river and the crane, one moving and one still, together tell the history and stories of the ancient salt field.
