The Terracotta Army: A Timeless Wonder
Soldiers in rows, standing so tall,
Crafted with artistry, one and all,
A wonder of ancient history,
With this army, awe you would see.
Looking proud and ready in rows,
Guarding the emperor, so it goes,
Terracotta Warriors, frozen in time,
Preserved for ages, a wonder sublime.

Terracotta army-just for a tick in UNESCOlist
Visiting terracotta army was the biggest disappointment of the summer for a few reasons:
1. Herds of tourists and terrible heat this July
2. Overpriced (for a hall of statues... )
Well, I could still recommend to go there to those, who don't have overestimated expectations and NOT during summer holidays.
My tour included a visit to Huaqing palace in the morning which I liked better (all pictures but the first are from that site), even had some time to hike the "mountain". However, if you prepare in advance and learn a bit about Xian's incident, you can see a play of the same name there at the Scenic spot (I missed it because I didn't prepare well enough in advance and regretted afterwards)

phenomenal
the sizes of the pit were huge, and it is near impossible to phatom how their made each warrior looking totally different and unidentical. a must go, similar to the great pyramids!

Bournemouth Pier Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Cliffs and Beaches
Bournemouth. Not a place you hear about too often, and definitely not a place you think about when you want to see untouched nation But it is a treat to go check it out yourself.
This hidden place does not have too many tourist traps, but it is easy to get there by car. Once there, walk along the path next to the cliffs and take in the refreshing sea breeze.
The cliffs are known are Known as Harry. there is a sad story that his wife walked along the cliffs and accidentally fell over. and that’s how they got their name.
Thankfully nowadays there are rails in place. And a great path down to the shore to check out the beach. a lonely place to walk across. All in all I would definitely recommend this scenic area off the beaten path and take in the smells of the fresh sea. 😊

Bournemouth Pier 🇬🇧
#timetotravel
My experience at Bournemouth Pier in the UK was a delightful blend of seaside charm and entertainment. Located along Bournemouth's picturesque coastline, this iconic pier welcomed me with its vibrant atmosphere and a range of activities. As I walked along the pier, enjoyed panoramic sea views, and soaked in the lively surroundings, a sense of relaxation and enjoyment filled me. The pier's location in the heart of Bournemouth's beachfront made it a hub of seaside fun and recreation. It wasn't just a pier; it was a gateway to a world of amusements, including arcades, attractions, and eateries, inviting me to savor ice creams, try my luck at games, and simply revel in the joy of being by the sea, leaving me charmed by its coastal allure and the sense of carefree bliss it offered.

Chesil Beach
#europetrip
Beautiful beach and the waves are amazing to see. We went two days in a row and it was extremely windy. Seems like that part of the UK is really windy. Also the saw the beach from a high viewpoint looked absolutely gorgeous. Will come back here for sunset next time we in Dorset.
Fantastic beach for the scenery. Definite wow factor. Not the easiest beach to walk on as very pebbly, some quite large. Car park at the visitor centre next to the Fleet Lagoon.
Cove House Inn, Portland
A great pub. Selling superb beer and food. Excellent location with uninterrupted views across Chesil Beach. Attentive, knowledgeable staff.
Amazing Seafood at Quiddles
Wonderful little sea wall restaurant. Amazing Seafood their speciality, we had the scallops and the whitebait. Beautiful views over Chesil Beach, great service.
