#Mandarin Oriental, Singapore Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
The newly renovated Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Singapore is stunningly beautiful! The lounge's fresh and clean style is very photogenic
If it's your first time in Singapore, I would definitely recommend staying in Marina Bay, because the attractions there are so concentrated. Almost all of Singapore's landmarks are located here, including Merlion Park, the Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, the ArtScience Museum, the National Gallery... The best night views in Singapore are also here, and in this area, my favorite and most recommended hotel to stay in is the Mandarin Oriental!
If you've been to Singapore many times, I would still recommend you not to miss the Mandarin Oriental! After being closed for renovation for half a year, the brand new Mandarin Oriental reopened last September - you can't miss the opportunity to experience the unique charm of the Lion City! Moreover, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Singapore is the only hotel that has been awarded the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating for 12 consecutive years!
The renovated Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Singapore has given its classic interior design a new lease of life, with colors and inspiration drawn from Peranakan-style architecture, black-and-white houses, and iconic Singaporean elements such as the Tembusu tree! Every corner of the hotel tells a story, from the lush landscapes of Singapore to the intricate details of traditional shophouses - the hotel's refreshed facade also harmoniously blends the city-state's unique natural scenery, cultural heritage, and architectural traditions.
The hotel's public spaces are very relaxed and comfortable - stepping into the newly renovated lobby filled with natural light and bright colors feels like entering a tranquil oasis - the magnificent Choo Chiat Goh Vanda Miss Joaquim crystal ball is a tribute to Singapore's national flower. The transformed Club Lounge HAUS 65 provides a refined social space with a fresh and clean green ambiance - the bright and rich colors are really photogenic!

Traveling to Singapore, of course, you can't miss the beautifully renovated Mandarin Oriental Hotel!
If it's your first time in Singapore, the top recommendation is definitely to stay in Marina Bay, because the attractions in Marina Bay are so concentrated. The best night view in Singapore is also here, and in this area, my favorite and most recommended hotel to stay in is the Mandarin Oriental!
If you've been to Singapore many times, I would still recommend you not to miss the Mandarin Oriental! After being closed for renovation for half a year, the brand new Mandarin Oriental reopened last September - you certainly can't miss the opportunity to experience the unique charm of the Lion City here! Moreover, the Mandarin Oriental Singapore is the only hotel in Singapore that has received the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating for 12 consecutive years!
This time, traveling with my parents in Singapore, the third hotel we stayed at was the Mandarin Oriental Singapore, staying in the Penthouse on the top floor! Walking into the lobby is like entering a tranquil oasis, with the magnificent crystal ball paying tribute to Singapore's national flower - the corridors are filled with Singapore's typical colonial style, complemented by calligraphic decorations, making it very vibrant and creating a relaxed atmosphere - and from the room, whether indoors or on the terrace, you can enjoy the stunning skyline view of Marina Bay, it's really fantastic!

Mandarin Oriental Hotel
#wheretogo #tripblazers
Where to go? If you are planning for a prestigious hotel accommodation in Singapore in the marina area, you can consider the five stars mandarin Oriental hotel. I love how beautiful their hotel lobby was. The moment I stepped into the hotel lobby, I was greeted by their staff with a high customer service standard. The average price of their room starts from 700usd per night. You can go to the marina Square shopping mall which is just beside the hotel. It is very convenient especially if you are travelling with children and elderly. The hotel address is 5 Raffles Ave., Singapore 039797.
The environment is beautiful, the design is elegant, and it is close to Marina Bay and Suntec City. The whole hotel is full of Zen, with Buddha statues holding flowers, carefree smiles, tranquil and deep pools, and peaceful and dignified atmosphere. The rooftop bar on the fifth floor is a great place to enjoy the night view of Singapore, which becomes more beautiful as the night falls.

Melt Cafe! O….I melted!
Ever tried a buffet at SG?
Well, this is my first time.
Compared with the hawker food on the street, this is just another experience. Feast like a king, i would say. Am i right? Just look at the pictures, and I can tell you there is lot more I didn’t photo, you know, I am there to eat, not to feed my camera.
The seafood are fresh and “yumyum”, and there are lots of choices. I bet you may get full if you really like seafood.
Chinese style, Indian style, Malay style, Japan style, Western style, I hope I didn’t miss out, but it is no surprise that I missed one or two, hahaha…
The most recommended one is the “Pasta on the Parmesan Wheel”, I ate a few plate, thats all I can say.
This is Melt Cafe, and I melted inside the food sea.

MO Architecture and Pool
Both in day and night, the architecture of MO is just wow! Spent lots of time taking photo of the beautiful architecture of the hotel.
The pool is outstanding as well. It features a main 25m pool that goes as deep as 1.4m. it is big and wide enough to accommodate many guests. There is also a very shallow pool next to the main pool that has structures for you to lie on to get a tan without feeling too hot as your body will be in the water, but not your face!
There are sufficient benches and cabanas for most hotel guests. They even have a lifeguard on duty. Best of all, when you arrive, hotel staff will cover the bench with a towel and hand you one towel, together with a glass of iced water, cold towel, a bottle of face spray, as well as the menu for you to order drinks and small bites. By the side, newspapers are provided together with bottles of sunscreen lotions (separate ones for children and adults).
It is attention to details like this they makes MO stand out from its competitors! Just lovely!

The Oriental in Mandarin Oriental
Mandarin Oriental certainly lives up to its name. The hotel is oriental themed and this can be seen all throughout the hotel.
From the hotel entrance, hotel lobby, to the room, oriental elements are everywhere. This is especially so this time of the year with Chinese New Year around the corner. The hotel will be closed for 6 months for a major refurbishment. I’m quite certain the oriental will be retained and I can’t wait to visit the hotel again to see how else I will be wowed by her.

Mandarin Oriental Club Lounge
Located on the 19th floor of the hotel, the club lounge is fantastic if you’re on staycation and have no intention of leaving the hotel. Why? Cos you can enjoy up to 5 meals here. Champagne breakfast, daytime bites and pastries, afternoon tea, evening cocktails from MO Bar with hors d’oeuvres and lastly, desserts and late-night refreshments.
The food is tasty, choice of refreshments aplenty, staffs service top notch, decor soothing, views decent. What more can you ask for? The club experience is definitely worth it here at MO!

The Christmasy Spirit In Mandarin Oriental
Although Christmas has just ended, there is a cute little set up here in mandarin Oriental located at 5 Raffles Ave, Singapore 039797ocated right across the marina bay area right beside of marina square shopping centre too!
This area is being decorated so beautifully that when you step into this small little room, it feels that you have been transported into santa clausittle hut where there are so many kind of Christmas cakes, like your fruit cake, your traditional mince meat cake, your cute little dome cakes.
Also, there is like a king like chair here that's in the middle of the room allowing you for a memorable photo taking session, also don't forget to take photo if the entrance into this little Christmas hut, it's windows and entrance are also beautiful decorated with Christmas ornaments

#2023travelwish
This is Mandarin Oriental Singapore located near Promanade Mrt station. The view is just perfect. It is so pretty and you could see the light show at Marina Bay Sands from your room! I was lucky there was Star Wars illumination at that time which I’ve forgotten to capture🫣 The bed was also comfortable and they also provide bath salt to go along with your bath~ The breakfast buffet was also fantastic! I would highly recommend this hotel 👍🏼
I wish I can stay in more hotels with great views

MO BAR @ Mandarin Oriental Singapore
MO BAR is located in Mandarin Oriental Singapore over looking Marina Bay.
The bar is ranked 8th in Asia so it’s a must try if you’re in Singapore 🇸🇬
It’s a spacious lounge area with live music on certain days.
The highlight is their expertly crafted drinks as pictured, how they present their menu is also innovative as it shows the alcohol and sugar level so it’s simple to understand.

Melt Hotel Buffet @ Mandarin Oriental
The Melt Hotel dinner buffet at Mandarin Oriental is one which one must not miss on, with a wide selection of delicious seafood on ice including lobsters, fresh prawns, clams and mussels along with crabs for seafood lovers!
Guests will also enjoy the grilled food including char siew and pork belly, lamb chops with mint sauce and many other more. For those who like noodles, the restaurant offers laksa and hor fun which are cooked on the spot once you place the order at the noodles station.
The Japanese section has many sushi and sashimi selections as well, along with mixed salads for those who prefer to have healthy greens. I enjoyed the oysters as well though I wish they replenished them more often as they were often gone when I went for more.

Club marina suite room
What a beautiful room for my birthday celebration!! Love the view of Marina bay from the room!! Bed was comfortable and can fit 3 person! 🤪 The aircon was awesome👍🏽👍🏽 The minibar was fully stocked up. The living room is quite small especially the balcony doesn't fit 3 adults 👎🏽 Sadly the toilet doesn't comes with a bidet. The water heater was not working well. The staffs there are well mannered and managed to accomodate to our request. Thank you!! I enjoyed the stay 7/10 😊 #mytripvlog #singapore Trip #staycation #mandarinoriental #suite

Mandarin Oriental buffet
Address - Mandarin Oriental Hotel, 5 Raffles Avenue, Singapore 039797
My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a wonderful dinner buffet during our stay here at Mandarin Oriental Hotel. There were so many options to choose from with such variety! For seafood lovers, you’d be happy to know that there are free-flow lobsters, clams, mussels, prawns and even fresh oysters.
Every month, the theme for their buffets will change. When we visited, it was the Wagyu beef theme where they showcased dishes with this particular ingredient. Do check out the menu before going to see if it’s something you’d enjoy!
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Live Chaat Station & Desserts
Just had to separately feature these from last night💕
The Live Chaat Station was actually a very interesting visual treat and I was excited to try them but but but it’s seems not my cup of tea. Opps. 🥹
I also felt this showcase was a sorely missed opportunity as there was no one to explain the feature - I mean I saw pastry shells, flavored water, chickpeas, and mint and the staff kind of silently mixed them all together and plonked the end result into a bowl for you but I ended up not really knowing what I was really eating - I mean is this a popular street snack? Dessert? 🤷🏻♀️
I know there is always Google lah, but having someone there to explain stuff would have helped to enhance the overall experience 😶
And yes, I googled.
“Chaat is an umbrella term for a wide range of roadside foods that usually feature some kind of fried dough with various ingredients that typically create a spicy, tangy, or salty flavour, though some chaat are sweet”.
Ah so des.
And then of course there are your regular” buffet sweets which will surely give you a sugar boost enough for the next month 🫣

Flavors of India by Chef Arun Mathur
Accidentally booked ourselves into the first night of this themed buffet @ Melt Cafe last night! 🤩
Presenting to you in unprofessional video and food shots of Flavors of India by Chef Arun Mathur of the Oberoi Group - running for.
17-21 Aug 2022 only 💕
Having only tried breakfast post-CB (it was good!), I was taken aback by the sheer number of people I saw last night. We really have a thing for unlimited eating! 🙈
The spread was ….. enormous.
I had limited knowledge of and experience with Indian cuisine and was super excited to be properly inducted. My senses were assured (in a good way) by the tsunami of variety and tried my best to plough through the 1027354738 dishes on offer - I walked away very impressed and my stomach stuffed like a whale 🐳
There is of course your regular buffet staple (cold fresh seafood!) if that’s your thing 😶
Treats like this comes at a price - $98++ no doubt - but hey, it’s cheaper than flying out to get the same nosh from Chef Arun 🤣
Full menu is available on their website for those who need to strategize the eating 🦚

Sumptuous hotel buffet
Address - Mandarin Oriental Hotel, 5 Raffles Avenue, Singapore 039797
Staying at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel meant a good excuse to check out the buffet spread of international cuisine at Melt Cafe! The restaurant is huge with ample seating space for many people.
The buffet options and variety was equally wide, although naturally some dishes were better than others. There is a seafood section which was super popular as they had free-flow fresh oysters, lobster, prawns and more! When we visited, the special highlight was the beef dishes, which were pretty decent.
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mesmerising bar snacks and cocktails at M.O.
#musteat
Located at the grand Mandarin Oriental hotel’s 4th floor with full length floor-to-ceiling views of Singapore’s famous iconic Marina Bay Sands, MO BAR is a sophisticated bar that has earned its place as one of Asia’s 50 Best Bars.
I ordered the Sarimonak, a visually appealing cocktail drink with a blend of flavours of Lanao with rum, mango and citrus topped up with a colourful printed rice paper on top of the drink.
The M.O. Bar provides a great selection of appetitizing bar snacks and light bites to go along with your drinks, with their famous Gyu-Katsu Sando with breaded Wagyu beef and bulldog sauce, or grab some Rice Rolls featuring vegetables in Vietnamese rice paper with chilli sauce or plant-based variation of the MO BAR Burger with an Impossible Burger patty.

Day & Night Pool @MandarinOriental SG
It is not glamorous swimming in the sky, but I am so in love with the Mandarin Oriental swimming pool. The view is perfect, and the atmosphere is so good that it made me want to stay longer in the pool, surrounded by a beautiful garden landscape and a restaurant.
The night is another perfect time to sit in the swimming pool and enjoy the beautiful Marina Bay view.
The room view overlooks to the Esplanade and Marina bay. This hotel connects to the mall, which gives me options to explore the mall, with many cafes, bars, and restaurants for my dining options.
Highly recommend this hotel due to the fantastic location.

Traditional Asian artefacts
Address - Mandarin Oriental Hotel, 5 Raffles Avenue, Singapore 039797
Located just by the riverfront at the Marina Bay area, Mandarin Oriental Hotel is one of the original three hotels built in that district! Despite the multiple refurbishments the hotel has undergone, it has retained certain features that are a testament to its heritage and roots.
One of them is the art and artefact collection they have. Bearing the mark of traditionally Asian aesthetics, there are quite a number of sculptures around the hotel that exude this vibe. In the lobby, there are also a few intricately carved gold art installations that line the walls as well!

As our driver turned onto the massive driveway of Mandarin Oriental Hotel, my husband and I were marvelling at the extensive garden that occupied the whole area! There was a huge centre fountain with a sculpture in the middle, while being surrounded by all sorts of flora and fauna.
I highly recommend that you visit during the golden sunset hour like we did so you can watch the sky turn to different coloured hues! We had a great time here enjoying the view and our dinner.

Best staycation ever
Omg check out this sick view from the hotel room! I can literally sit by the window all day to soak the views all in.. which explains why I decided on room service for dinner.
I stayed at the Marina Bay View King room for a night and loved it! The room was spacious, clean, bright and tidy. The bath room had both a bath tub and a shower. There was everything I needed for a comfortable stay at M.O.
And that's not even the best part yet - I was offered an early check in and late check out (5pm). On the day of the check in, I received a message from M.O. informing me that my room was available for check in at 10am. Essentially I had close to 2 full days at M.O. for the price of just 1 night. What great value! I'd definitely return to M.O. some day!
