Amazing Huangwang Zen Temple 😍🇨🇳
#chinatrip
Listen, everyone in Suzhou is going to take pictures of this pagoda?!!! The key is! Like the Forbidden City! Found the appearance here!! Then I definitely want to go! This place is really noisy and likes to take photos! The yearning of Jiangnan for the north, with its red walls and black tiles, is truly noisy! When I finish shooting and open the memory card! I'm so excited! Suzhou City with continuous rain! Finally squatting on a sunny day! Ah, ah, this blue sky, blank clouds, Yi! I can't love you enough! Navigation search: Just search for Huangwang Zen Temple! Opening hours: 6:00-18:00 Free admission 0

Beita Bao'en Temple, the most ancient temple in Wuzhong
I have finally arrived at the Beita Bao'en Temple on the other side of the Anywhere Door
✅✅ The oldest temple in Suzhou's history
✅✅ The most intact Ming Dynasty ancient architecture existing in Suzhou
✅✅ A landmark of the ancient city of Suzhou
✅✅ The highest point in Suzhou's ancient city, a benchmark for building height, where buildings in the ancient district cannot exceed 24 meters, equivalent to the height of the third floor of the North Temple Pagoda
✅✅ A major national cultural heritage protection site
♻️♻️ Beita Bao'en Temple, located in Gusu District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, was originally built during the Three Kingdoms period by Sun Quan for his wet nurse, Lady Chen, and has a history of more than 1,700 years, making it the oldest temple in Suzhou. It was initially named Tongxuan Temple, renamed to Kaiyuan Temple during the Tang Dynasty's Kaiyuan era, and was renamed again to Bao'en Temple during the Later Zhou of the Five Dynasties, which has been used to this day.
♻️♻️ The grand and majestic North Temple Pagoda in the temple was rebuilt during the Southern Song Dynasty and is a classic example of a Chinese small-woodwork style pavilion pagoda, known as the number one ancient pagoda in the south of the Yangtze River. This ancient pagoda has become the highest point in the ancient city of Suzhou, as well as a benchmark for the city's architecture. There was once a regulation in Suzhou that buildings in the ancient city could not exceed 24 meters in height, which is equivalent to not exceeding the height of the third floor of the North Temple Pagoda, indicating the pagoda's status in the city of Suzhou.
♻️♻️ The Guanyin Hall to the east of the North Temple Pagoda was rebuilt during the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty and is the most intact ancient Ming Dynasty architecture in Suzhou.
♻️♻️ The entire garden-style temple complex is scattered with pavilions and terraces, interspersed with mountains and waters, lush with flowers and trees, with winding paths leading to secluded spots. Strolling through it, one feels far from the hustle and bustle of the world, with a sense of tranquility and joy.

Suzhou Travel Guide Simple and easy to understand
📍Suzhou three-day two-night itinerary | Suzhou is charming at any time👀|||
Day 1🎈: Arrive at Suzhou Station at 19:12, proceed to the hotel for check-in. Take Line 4 for just 1 stop to reach Beisita Station, then walk for 10 minutes to the hotel. After placing the luggage, take a bus to Shantang Street, where the night view is stunning, and it's bustling with people (the bus stop is right outside the hotel | The bus stations in Suzhou are all built in a retro style, which greatly surprised me as an outsider🤩. On the bus, I also met a warm-hearted Suzhou grandpa, who knew we were tourists and kindly told us where to get off and where to start exploring Shantang Street more appropriately).
Day 2🎈: Visit the Humble Administrator's Garden (80 yuan/person) and the Suzhou Museum (free reservation, closed on Mondays, be sure to book in advance) in the morning | The hotel I stayed at is just 2 bus stops away from the Suzhou Museum, and the Humble Administrator's Garden is closely adjacent to the Suzhou Museum.
In the afternoon, head to Pingjiang Road, which is 5 bus stops away. Pingjiang Road is a must-visit place in Suzhou, as the saying goes, 'A single Pingjiang Road, half of Gusu city,' and it lives up to its reputation. Had dinner at a restaurant named Taohuayuanji on Pingjiang Road (see picture 7), which was affordable, and also tried the 'Emperor's Smile' favored by Wei Wuxian. Additionally, I happened to come across a celebrity filming, heard someone say it was Chen Zheyuan, but unfortunately, I did not see him.
In the evening, went to the Gate of the Orient, took photos with the iconic building of Suzhou, and watched the fountain show at Jinji Lake (for specific show times, you can follow the Suzhou Industrial Park official WeChat account. I thought I had missed the fountain⛲️ show, but it turned out I just caught the 8:30 one).
Day 3🎈: In the morning, visit Beisita (free), which is about a 10-minute walk from my hotel, then take the bus for 13 stops, about 20 minutes to reach Hanshan Temple (18 yuan/person), and saw the 'Night Mooring by Maple Bridge' from the books. The itinerary on the third day was not rushed, only visiting these two places, slowly savoring the charm of Suzhou, then returning to the hotel to pick up luggage, and heading to the next destination.

🚌 Transportation: Take bus route 40 west line to Qimen East, or get off at Beisita Station on subway line 4, and then it's a short walk. Although the walk is a bit far, it is not recommended to drive, as parking in the ancient city area is really difficult! 🚗🚶♀️
Come to Wujie Meiluo Luxury Center and start a new exploration journey in the ancient city! 🌈🎈

The ginkgo trees in Suzhou are a brilliant yellow in December, with the sunlight just right and the breeze not too dry
December in Suzhou is a great time to visit ancient temples like Baoguo Temple, Huiding Temple, and Shuangta Temple. Although they are not as crowded with tourists as the Suzhou gardens, they are incredibly picturesque. The quiet monasteries, the ginkgo leaves that are shining yellow and have yet to fall, and the yellow walls of the courtyards, along with the mottled light and shadow, make every casual photo feel like an oil painting. Wearing traditional Han clothing and draping a bright red cloak over your shoulders, you'll look beautiful no matter how you're photographed. Suzhou tourism isn't just about spring; autumn is also stunningly beautiful.

Beisi Pagoda in Suzhou
The Beisi Pagoda is the oldest Buddhist temple in Suzhou, with a history of over a thousand years. It is said to have been built by Sun Quan during the Three Kingdoms period to repay his mother's kindness, hence it is also known as the Repay Kindness Temple Pagoda. It is a symbol of the ancient city of Suzhou and a key national cultural heritage site.

Looking across the whole of Suzhou, this spot is absolutely explosive!
I've discovered a new vantage point
Beisi Pagoda (also known as Bao'en Temple), as a landmark of ancient architecture in Suzhou
has already been photographed by many people
I walked a big circle around Beisi Pagoda
and actually found a new spot on the rooftop
Not only can you see Beisi Pagoda, but also the 'big pants', it's quite a blast💥💥💥
Even more explosive is that there's an open-air coffee shop on the rooftop
The edge of the rooftop is decorated with a big crescent moon
When night falls and the moon lamp lights up
Beisi Pagoda is just in the middle of it when viewed through the moon lamp
The coffee shop is said to even offer outdoor barbecues
Imagine drinking coffee, eating barbecue, looking at Beisi Pagoda
Feeling the breeze, taking photos, it's fantastic!

📷Photography tips:
It is recommended to use a telephoto lens because the compression of space can make Beisi Pagoda appear larger

Ginkgo and maple leaves at the North Temple Pagoda, and a cat
The North Temple Pagoda holds many stories in the hearts of the people of Suzhou.
The ginkgo in the temple is also full of mystery.
Every year, it's bustling with visitors.
Take the time to see the ginkgo,
even at the end of the season, it's still full of vitality.
The ground is covered with ginkgo leaves,
and there are a few lush maple trees,
shading the golden temple,
perfectly echoing the light and shadow cast by the setting sun.
A quiet beauty.
Tips:
Transportation is convenient.
Please note that the park closes at 5:00 PM.
The security will come in advance to notify that photography is not allowed.
Btw, the winter sunset currently starts at around 4:30 PM.
There is a popular persimmon tree at the subway entrance outside the North Temple Pagoda.
Under the backdrop of the blue sky, pink walls, and black tiles, it looks very beautiful.
It seems that this year's persimmons are a bit thin.
A place to experience beauty.
A fluffy cat that doesn't understand humans.

I would be saddened if anyone missed the plum blossoms at the Beisi Pagoda
The plum blossoms beneath the Beisi Pagoda have already bloomed, like messengers of spring, bringing a warm breath of air. Strolling among them, it feels as if one is immersed in a sea of flowers, which is refreshing and uplifting.
·
There is a wide variety of plum blossoms here, with dazzling colors, white as snow, red as fire, pink like the rosy clouds. A gentle breeze blows, and the petals gently fall, like a rain of flower petals, intoxicating to those who witness it.
·
The plum blossoms here are not only beautiful but also a witness to history. Now, with the ancient pagoda nearby, they appear even more quaint and elegant, commanding respect.
·
In addition to admiring the plum blossoms, there are also beautiful landscapes and a profound cultural heritage here. You can feel the breath of spring, savor the charm of history, relax your body and mind, and enjoy the gifts of nature.
·
Hurry to the Beisi Pagoda, and let's appreciate the charm of the plum blossoms together! Spring here can hardly wait to meet you.
Suzhou North Temple Tower (also known as Baoen Temple Tower), located at No. 1918 Renmin Road, north of Suzhou ancient city, is the oldest Buddhist temple in Suzhou, with a history of more than 1700 years. It was built during the Wu Chiwu period of the Three Kingdoms (238-251 AD), and it is said that it was built by Sun Quan to repay his mother, Lady Wu's kindness, and to give up his house. It was originally called Tongxuan Temple. Sun Quan's mother, Lady Wu, was from Suzhou. She was the gospel of the Sun family. After her husband Sun Jian died in battle, she inspired her eldest son Sun Ce to continue to expand the territory of Dongwu. After her eldest son was unfortunately assassinated, she assisted her young second son Sun Quan. Finally, the Eastern Wu Dynasty was established during the Three Kingdoms period.
The temple was renamed Kaiyuan Temple during the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty (713-741 AD). It was rebuilt during the Xiande period of the Later Zhou Dynasty of the Five Dynasties (954-959 AD), and its name was changed to Baoen Temple.
👍Most recommended:
One of the oldest temples in Suzhou, the simple temperament of the temple and the rich cultural heritage make people linger.

In Suzhou! A seriously underestimated beautiful free temple
Trust me!
It is definitely an underrated niche attraction in Suzhou

Don't go to Suzhou Gardens for ginkgo photography! It's less crowded and great for shooting here!
This place is too good for shooting!
Suzhou Daoqian Street🤎
Found that there is not much left
The bus stop is also okay
Pictures 567 are Daoqian Street!
Later, I rushed to Beisita 🏯
There are two very lush inside
A ground full of ginkgo, very atmospheric!
But there are more people on weekends!
Go further in, there is also a very photogenic one (Picture 3)
For photography, it is suggested to wear coffee color series or white dresses will be more photogenic!🍁

A persimmon tree in sunny, cloudy, and ink painting versions
The rooftop in Suzhou's winter is this persimmon tree
The fiery red persimmons, winding branches, blend with the white walls and black tiles into an ink painting belonging to Suzhou's winter. The Suzhou aesthetics are full at this moment. May all your wishes come true, and those who see it will land safely.

Is the much-criticized and avoided Zhuozheng Garden really worth visiting?
Is the much-criticized and avoided Zhuozheng Garden really worth visiting?
My answer is: it's worth it.
The points that Zhuozheng Garden gets criticized for are mostly about the 80$ entrance fee and the fact that once you're in, all you can see are people's heads, and the experience is poor on a hot day.
I've been to many gardens, you can see my previous notes for guides.
But as the first of China's four major gardens, Zhuozheng Garden, with its pavilions, towers, and unique romance, always amazes me every time I visit!! First-time visitors should really come and take a look~
How to avoid the crowd?
You can enter the garden at 7:30 in the morning or 17:00 in the afternoon, the weather is not as hot as during the day, and you can avoid large groups of tourists.
Last Saturday at 16:30, I personally tested it, the real-time number of people was 2699, from lining up to entering the garden took less than 5 minutes, the overall experience was quite good. Entering September, the peak summer travel season has ended, and there will be fewer people.
The unique romance of Zhuozheng Garden
The windows of the ear room of the Thirty-six Mandarin Duck Hall are inlaid with blue-purple glazed tiles. It is said that in summer, looking through the window is like looking at a snow scene, which has a cooling effect, super fun~ When the sunlight passes through the glazed tiles and shines on the white wall, the flowing light and shadow are really beautiful!
Borrowing the scenery of the North Temple Tower, it makes the garden look huge. You can also go to the back of the Rainbow Pavilion and look at the North Temple Tower through the plum blossom window, which is super impressive.
The Haitang Spring Cove has several hawthorn trees, and the ground is paved with hawthorn flower patterns. The guide lady said: In spring, when the hawthorn flowers bloom, you can admire the hawthorn on the tree; when the hawthorn flowers fall in spring, you can count the hawthorn on the ground, really impressed by the romance of the ancients.
The gallery bridge of Little Flying Rainbow, the small bridge of the Thirty-six Mandarin Duck Hall, and the long corridor by the water, the reflections in the water are really tear-jerkingly beautiful

To the sisters who want to go to Suzhou in December~
Just returned from Suzhou, Suzhou in November is really beautiful🤩, strolling in the ancient streets of Suzhou in just the right temperature, admiring the small bridges and flowing water, ancient buildings~ All this is intoxicating~
1. Xiyuan Temple
The vegetarian buns here are really delicious! 😍 The red bean buns are sweet but not greasy, and you will fall in love with them after one bite. There is also the vegetarian noodles in the temple, which are refreshing and delicious, it's really delicious! In addition, there is red bean filling in the pumpkin balls, 20 yuan a box, it is definitely worth a try~
2. Lingering Garden
Starting from Xiyuan Temple, you can arrive at the beautiful Lingering Garden🌿 in 10 minutes. There are not many tourists on weekdays, enjoy a moment of tranquility~
3. Guan Zhenxing
This century-old shop located in Wuzongfang, the taste is average, and the price is not cheap. It is recommended to try more delicacies in Suzhou~
4. Seven-mile Shantang
The commercial atmosphere here is too strong, I really don't recommend it😣.
5. Su San Gu
This restaurant is simply a surprise✨! The most authentic squirrel mandarin fish, it tastes great here!
6. Mo Yu
The local tea shop, the supreme stewed milk and the overlord tea girl taste similar, but the price is much cheaper! For three days, I can't leave the milk tea here every day❤️.
7. Xin Zhenyuan
The osmanthus small round is slightly disappointing😔, but according to friends, their wontons and pan-fried buns are not bad.
8. Suzhou Museum
It's so beautiful that it's amazing😯! The museum has a pleasant scenery and you can also buy customized museum notebooks.
9. Peach Blossom Spring
A budget restaurant located on Pingjiang Road, four people only spent 160+💰, it is really affordable! Of course, the deliciousness is absolutely guaranteed~
10. Beisi Pagoda (Baoen Temple)
A scenic spot recommended by the taxi driver👍. There are many 🐱 kittens in the temple that are so cute that people want to take them home~
11. Guanqian Street
After strolling around, I went back😅, basically it's all gold shops and shopping streets, but it's very close to Pingjiang Road, you can walk to it.
12. Shen Wansan
The chicken feet with super taste🍗, the meat is soft and flavorful! Highly recommended👍🎉!
To be honest, Suzhou is really a city worth visiting. The time here has left unforgettable memories, looking forward to visiting again! 😊
BoundlessWanderer
This is a tranquil temple and gardens to explore near Suzhou station. Admission is free and there are several old buildings are small gardens to look around. there were no crowds when I visited during a weekday afternoon. After spending some time here it is easy to walk from there to Suzhou Museum which is about 20 minutes away #suzhou
North Temple Tower is one of the stations of Suzhou Metro Line 4, and out of the station, there is really a North Temple Tower. Its full name is the Baoen Temple Pagoda, the temple was built in the Three Kingdoms period, and the tower was built in the Liang Dynasty period of the Southern Dynasties. Although Hanshan Temple has a long-standing reputation, it is actually the oldest temple in Suzhou and has the title of the first ancient temple in Wuzhong.
The incense in the rain is still lingering. The architectural styles of the temples and ancient towers are all magnificent and typical of the Jiangnan temples. This is not a popular attraction. Except for the monks, only we are visiting. The biggest impression of it is that there are a lot of ginkgo trees, golden leaves scattered in the temple, do not have a charm, even the master can not help pick up the phone to shoot ginkgo.
The south side of Guanyin Temple has a long corridor, which displays the giant lacquer carving "Shengsheng Breeding Map", also known as "Gusu Prosperous Map", which reproduces the prosperity of Suzhou in the Qing Dynasty. The understanding of Suzhou.
